The previous thread clocked out. I like the suggestion for this page...the current feels like it should be on a different page.
That'd be a lateral change for me - not crack-ish enough.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman...Sherlock and Shrek aren't crackish enough?! Damn, man, you got strict standards.
Not so strict, but with that art style it looks a lot less crack-ish, they look far more alike.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSherlrek is good. It's hard to argue that It's not zany enough.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed....wow. Sherlock/Shrek. Cracky enough for me.
"Polite life will fill you full of cancer." - Iggy Pop "I've seen the future, brother, it is murder." -Leonard CohenI might be biased, but I think this is a much more clear example.
I also don't recognies Sherlock in that other one.

Check out my fanfiction! That looks more like Robo Ship.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. My thoughts exactly; that is Robo Ship.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanErm, which Sherlock is that in the OP's suggestion? The great detective? Because I honestly had no clue who that person was (and, in fact, had assumed it was a woman). Also, the lack of coloring in the sketch isn't doing Shrek any favors either.
I'd thought it was Alan Rickman, tbh.
Not sure why, since the nose is all wrong, but I did.

Moon◊That's got the same issue as the current pic, in that it's just two individuals standing next to each other, with no evidence of any shipping going on.
Hearts and "OTP." You need any more than that? And that is Benedict Cumberbatch from Sherlock. BTW, he does an uncanny Alan Rickman impression.
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. Not recognizing who is pictured isn't a fatal flaw for an image, but it does point out that information needs to be given somewhere. Good thing we can put some text (that says anything we want!) under an image.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. That sounds too much like Just A Face And A Caption for my liking—which also pretty much sums up my feelings toward that suggestion. The only indicator that there's something weird about the pairing (that doesn't require familiarity with the characters) is Shrek's ear, which is quite weak, since it's common for characters of different species to get paired up anyway as long as they're both humanoid.
Is a pairing involving two characters of wildly different species an option?
EDIT: Wait, why am I asking that? We've already got an image with a hippo and a tortoise up. If we could just get something along those lines with more indication of actual romance, that would be great.

I think the different species thing is at least partially covered by Hot Skitty-on-Wailord Action.
Looking through the Google Image results... Loki/Twilight Sparkle? Trunks/Pocahontas? Bart Simpson/Sakura Haruno (minus the Demotivator part, of course)?

The first two links need to be tinyurled.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOK, should be better now.

20.3 is already on Crossover Ship. I'm not getting any "pairing" vibes in 20.1, and 20.2 don't look Crack enough.
I'm getting the same from those.
You know, I think I'll vote Keep And Maybe Change The Caption (to make the "pairing" aspect clearer) on the current here. See, I think that "crack" is more easily shown with a Real Life image than with a fictional one; in fiction weird stuff happens all the time while In Real Life it's less common and thus the exceptions stand out more. Plus, I think it's funnier.
Also, as a detail, Hot Skitty-on-Wailord Action is more about the reproductive aspects.

Crown Description:
Nominations for replacement images:
The image for this page is of a real life tortoise and a hippopotamus being buds. Probably not a romantic pairing, and almost certainly not an actual example of shipping. I think the second-to-last panel of this comic is a better example of a bonkers romantic pairing.
