[up] I mean, we already have a major character with gay parents, so clearly the show isn't averse to portraying families that stray outside the typcial "nuclear family" structure. Maybe her parents are divorced?

Is there another place you can link that image to, because my IP is blocked from that place for some reason. (I've never made a single post there, and have only ever visited archive sites.)

I'd like to edit a certain line in https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Recap/TheLoudHouseS1E20RoughinItTheWaitingGame

The line is

Jack-of-All-Stats: Lincoln became one after learning various skills from his sisters.

Would it look ok in this form?

Jack-of-All-Stats: Lincoln learned various skills from his sisters:

  • Playing dead from Lucy,
  • Sawing poncho from Leni,
  • Making rope from Luna,
  • Moving big and heavy objects from Lynn,
  • Walking with balance from Lola.

Here's an article on why Lord House gets a lot of praise. Yeah, I know ranting about artstyles is dumb but whatever just bored.tongue

[up] Interesting! You picked up a lot of details about the art style that I honestly hadn't noticed. (You kind of went off the rails when you started ranting about the PPG reboot, though. tongue I mean, you weren't wrong about it, but it was a bit off topic.)

Even so, you definitely have an eye for art/animation. Do you draw? I wouldn't be surprised.

Also... unrelated, but I think I just put together a Mad Libs-style formula for adorable Lisa dialogue. It goes something like this:

Lisa: *says something a four-year-old would say, in an overly verbose, loquacious manner*
Any Other Character: What?
Lisa: *makes the same statement, only this time she says it the way a normal four-year-old would say it*

For example:

Lincoln: Lisa, what's wrong?
Lisa: I am experiencing acute abdominal discomfort and I request the assistance of the household matriarch.
Lincoln: What?
Lisa: My tummy hurts. Go get Mommy.

I love to learn, I love to yearn, and most of all... I love to make money.

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!

That's adorable!

Also there's this interview where Chris Savino says The Loud House's third season will be a bit more serious...and people lost their minds over that comment. They fear the TLD is going to be "Ruined" somehow. I will link the interview when I find it again.

As long as there's no radical Genre Shift, I welcome episodes that incorporate themes with more gravitas.

I think they're afraid that the show will undergo Cerebus Syndrome or something to that effect.

Who else is getting "There Will Be Chaos"? It's less than ten bucks on Amazon if you pre-order.

...I wonder if there is a reason for the tone shift? Could it be a response to the fanbase's Dude Not Funny reaction to certain episodes? Or was it just an unrelated decision deciding they needed to change things up, that certain family topics needed more serious storytelling then the current tone would allow? I'd like to see some episodes become full 22 minutes instead of the 11-minute ones we get. I felt some episodes were rushed and the plots could of been better developed if they were full length episodes.

And speaking of the Loud House's unique artstyle, I find it funny that in a time where people are complaining about the CalArts "disease" the one to break from the norm was a veteran (Chris Savino) rather than a newcomer. (Pendleton Ward, Alex Hirsch, Rebecca Sugar, etc.)

AegisP Since: Oct, 2014 Relationship Status: And they all lived happily ever after <3
#615: May 8th 2017 at 7:47:15 PM

That's because its the newcomers who are the disease!!!

DUN DUN DUN!

LOL Nope. But I would not be surprised if people genuinely thought that.

Syngenesophobia updated.

Question: I often see a reviewer leave the same message on various stories asking the writer to have Lori stop calling Lincoln a twerp.

Anyone know what that is about?

I've got nothing other than he hates it when Lori calls Lincoln a twerp. Like, really hates it. Like, hates to the point where everything else about the story seems to be inconsequential to how Lincoln's been dubbed a "twerp" by Lori, even if it's not even included in the story.

[up][up]I now want to see a story where Lori calls Lincoln twerp (it can be out of anger or affection) and some random stranger proceeds to give her the riot act for doing so and its Lincoln that tells the guy to back off and chill out.

It just seems like such a small thing to be bothered by. Siblings could call each other way worse things then 'twerp'.

I'm rather surprised that standards and practices let the last joke in Suite and Sour through. It's a great capstone to the episode, so I'm not complaining, just surprised.

On Kid characters page of the show are put Loud Brothers. I expect Casagrande Family to be put there after release of the episode "Relative Chaos". I am still surprised nobody described there Maggie from the episode "Funny Business", I thought she's an example of Ensemble Dark Horse.

From upcoming episodes I do hope "Room with Feud" won't be cruel and filled jerk balls like "Brawl in the Family".

So The Loud Author is quitting the fandom. He wrote Guardian Louds and A Brothers Debt.
