Super Everything Wars: A Crossover Interest Check and Signups

So...

If anyone's familiar with Super Robot Wars, they'd know that it's a massive crossover game series that canon-welds a bunch of different mecha series together.

The basic idea behind this RP is very, very similar to that. However, there's a pretty big difference in that instead of canon-welding mecha series together, this is canon-welding anything that can possibly fit together... together.

Absolutely any series that can possibly fit into a setting basically identical to the modern day aside from... massive amounts of advanced technology and magic and stuff.

Speaking of which, different magic systems and things like that well be reconciled by stating that they're simply different ways of being capable of using magic.

I don't have too much of a plot in mind yet, so I'm open to suggestions.

Characters used absolutely must be able to fit into this modern setting in some way. So you can't have characters from Lord of the Rings or something like that.

I will be judging character power-levels on a case-by-case basis, with no solid limits on power. I'll just judge what those powers seem to be like.

That's about it for now, aside from signups, since the setting and such is ready for those. Hopefully a more coherent plot and such will form soon. ^^;

• Name: Satsuki Yumizuka
• Age: 16
• Gender Female
• Appearance: Oh, hi there!
• Personality: A quiet, shy girl with an (unrequited) crush on a boy from her class. Ever since a certain event that led to her becoming a vampire, she seems slightly more outgoing, however, and even has her own gang, the Back-alley Alliance, composed of her and two others.
  Regarding her crush, Satsuki can become quite flustered when it's brought up, but much less embarrassed when speaking to him directly. And to others, she is always rather formal and polite.
• Abilities:
  • As a vampire, her physical strength has increased immensely. She is also fairly resistant to sunlight, though it does tire her out quite a bit. Prolonged exposure is not really recommended for her, though.
  • Reality Marble - Depletion Garden: Satsuki is able to expand a 'field' in which all mana in the affected area is dissipated. Obviously, only mages and magical creatures would need to worry about this, if Satsuki ever had a reason to use it. She's not really a fighter.

I'm actually not 100% on the no-OC's rule after some thought. Though I really want the focus to be the crossover characters more than OC's.

• Name: Fujiwara no Mokou
• Age: ~1400
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: "You want to burn, too?" Please note that her hair's probably ankle-length in that, just... updraft.
• Personality: Serious. Grumpy. Doesn't really talk to people that haven't got any sort of connection with Kaguya—who she alternately acts strangely clingy towards and murderous. She doesn't really seem to get this vengeance thing, and acts more like The Rival a lot of the time. Only with a lot more mutual murder.
  Fortunately, Kaguya's around, so she'll talk more.
• Abilities: FIRE AND IMMORTALITY. Well, there's more to it than that—seeing as phoenixes are more a motif than a literal thing of hers, she's probably one of the most dangerous human spellcasters alive. Especially seeing as nothing, absolutely nothing, is going to actually get her to stay dead. On the other hand, Gensokyo tends to forbid all-out magical brawls, so she's not as violent about it as she could be, and works hard to avoid collateral damage.
  Plus danmaku might be hard to dodge, but it tends to be rather weak
• Weapons: Nada.
• Series of Origin: Touhou!

• Name: Houraisan Kaguya
• Age: Older Than Mokou
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: Quite possibly literally the prettiest Touhou character. She did have a suitor problem...
• Personality: Doesn't take things anywhere near as seriously as Mokou does, and treats there constant murder as something of a game. She can be perfectly ladylike and sensible one day, but the next rather... lazy and whimsical. She's a generally sweet girl that has, however, been spoiled, and doesn't really have to worry about anything.
• Abilities: Control of Eternity and the Instantaneous. It is anyone's guess what this means, other than having the ability to nullify time magic. It can apparently hide a building and keep it unchanging for... however long she wants. An essential component to the Hourai Elixir.
  Oh, and she shares the same type of immortality as Mokou, as well as having enough strength to left a temple ceiling... somehow.
• Weapons: A diamond bowl, a fancy tree branch, a cloak... she has a lot of random crap. It can be used to fight with. Mostly, it's stuff that is supposed to be impossible to get.
• Series of Origin: Touhou!

Accepted. There's plenty of ways to beat immortals without killing them, and none of their powers are really too much of a problem.

• Name: Toni Cipriani
• Age: 30
• Gender: Male

• Personality: Toni is a tough, no-nonsense kind of guy known for his undying loyalty to both his mother and his boss, Salvatore Leone. He is also known to be witty and sarcastic at times, but at the end get the job done.
• Abilities: Toni Cipriani is a normal human with normal abilities, but he does have the following unique traits.
  • An excellent driver
  • A good shot
  • Very street smart
• Weapons: Baseball Bat, Pistol, Pump-Action Shotgun, Uzi (assuming guns are allowed, given the modern setting)

Hm... I'm not seeing too many issues. Just be aware a normal human is not necessarily going to be able to deal with everything.

• Name: Shotaro Hidari, AKA Kamen Rider Joker and the left half of Kamen Rider Double
• Age: Early 20s
• Gender: Male

• Personality: I am bad at putting this kind of thing in my own words, so here.
• Abilities:
  • Untransformed: Shotaro is a private detective by trade, and as such he possesses great competance when it comes to investigation and deduction. He has a keen eye for detail and is able to piece information together quickly and coherently. However, he also seems to have an odd knack for cases involving missing pets, being able to locate them far easier than missing people. Shotaro is also a competant fighter even without transforming, able to hold his own in a fight against more mundane opponents without needing to become a Kamen Rider.
  • Kamen Rider Joker: By using the Lost Driver and the Joker Gaia Memory, Shotaro is able to transform into Kamen Rider Joker. In this form, not only does his physical capabilities increase but due to the Joker Memory's nature as the "Trump Card" it increases his natural fighting capabilities too. In addition, it grants him usage of the Rider Kick and Rider Punch Maximum Drives.
  • Kamen Rider Double: Um... There's a bit of stuff to explain, so... This section is basically what you need to know.
• Weapons:
  • Double Driver and Lost Driver
  • Double's weapons: Depending on which Gaia Memory Shotaro is using, Double is armed with either the Metal Shaft (Metal), the Trigger Magnum, or the Prism Bicker (CycloneJoker Xtreme).

• Abilities:
  • Untransformed: Philip is capable of accessing the Gaia Library, a collection of all of the information in the known world. That said, he can't simply look up whatever he needs whenever he wants, as he needs to narrow down the books available by searching with a number of keywords. In addition, his focus and intelligence are comparable to a super computer.
  • Kamen Rider Cyclone: By using the Lost Driver and the Cyclone Gaia Memory, Philip is able to transform into Kamen Rider Cyclone. In this form, Philip is able to absorb wind and use the energy to increase his strength and mobility. In addition, it grants him usage of the Rider Kick Maximum Drive and an unnamed Rider Chop. Philip is extremely hesitant to use this form, due to how important Shotaro is to him and how much more work is involved in using it compared to Double.
  • Kamen Rider Double: Again, what Moe said.
• Weapons:
  • HardBoilder

  • HardMammother
  • Pretty much everything, weaponwise is handled by Shotaro, who also usually has the two Drivers.
  • Transforming Gaia Dinosaur - Fang Memory - Not actually something Philip carries around, rather the Fang Memory shows up when he is in danger or whenever he calls for it.

So, um, first character!

• Name: Arturia Pendragon, goes by Saber
• Age: 16-ish physically
• Gender: Female
• Appearance: "Ex..."
• Personality: Saber is strong-willed and stubborn, as well as very brave and utterly determined. She suppresses her emotions in most situations, though social situations often bring out her insecurities. She considers herself as a warrior first, before anything else. Saber holds little mercy towards opponents. As the king of knights, she has a strong sense of honor. In spite of this strong personality, Saber can become shy and withdrawn in regular social situations due to the previously mentioned insecurities.
• Abilities: Saber is a Servant, a Heroic Spirit constrained to one of the Seven Servant Classes. Obviously, her class is Saber. She is extremely fast and strong, though not the fastest or strongest of Servants. She wears magic armor, which easily deflects mundane weaponry. Purely mundane weapons are incapable of harming her. It will take extremely high-power weapons, or magical weapons, to do damage. Saber is durable, and capable of recovering from grievous injury. She has two Noble Phantasms, though one is technically magecraft. The first is Invisible Air, which is capable of becoming a sheath that renders her second Noble Phantasm invisible. It can also be used as a projectile. The second is Excalibur, the Sword of Promised Victory. It is an incredibly powerful and holy weapon, a sword that is impossible to break(though this is because it's a Noble Phantasm as well as... being Excalibur). Its most powerful ability is to unleash an immense blast of prana which is capable of killing an immense amount of targets or destroying an entire fortress. She cannot simply repeatedly fire off this this ability, as she lacks Avalon, which gives her a vast amount of prana with which to use for Excalibur. She is also unlikely to use it if there's a risk of collateral damage or killing allies. At most, she could manage one shot per day if there's no risk of collateral damage or killing allies. Saber is also immune to most magic(magical weapons, however, are still dangerous). While this is a defense, it also makes it difficult, if not impossible, to buff or heal her using magic.
• Weapons: Excalibur, the Sword of Promised Victory. Unless she has no reason to hide it, it is cloaked in Invisible Air.
• Series of Origin: Fate Stay Night

Her backstory and stuff is pending, currently, depending on what happens with Nasuverse stuff. As it stands, this takes place sometime after Tsukihime's existent-but-unseen Sacchin route(judging by her status), or possibly something else that allows for her survival. Also because Fate Stay Night has happened/is happening. Again, um... depends on the status of other Fate characters if they show up, eh-heh.

• Name: Abe
• Age: 15 (early-thirties by human standards)
• Gender: 'Male' (technically genderless)

• Appearance: Lo and behold◊

• Personality: A generally friendly, if awkward and unconfident, fellow, Abe is difficult to anger, though he tends to get easily frustrated by other's incompetence. That said, he possesses a particular hatred for slavery in all of its forms and is highly wary of 'modern' technology, and when dealing with both at once, especially to do with Mudokens...? Let's just say his vengeance is often cruel as well as merciless. He doesn't have a lot of trust in strangers and is wary of more technologically minded species by default, but the only species he takes an actual dislike too tend to be ones he's already had to deal with - Glukkons, Sligs and Vykkers, mostly.

• Abilities: As a mudoken, Abe is physically frail. He is, however, quick on his feet and fairly agile. In addition to this, his light body weight allows him to sneak around extremely quietly and means that, although he doesn't have a lot of upper body strength, he can still pull himself up ledges with ease. His most noticeable advantage is his keen intellect and resourcefulness - with no tools at his disposal and a handful of strange powers, he successfully destroyed or shut down seven of the most powerful corporate facilities on Odd World, and prevented the creation of several more. Admittedly, he never did it alone - there were always times he had to get the help of enslaved mudokens, or other similar creatures.
  • While Abe possesses several strange powers, his most noticeable is to chant. By chanting, Abe taps into the energies of the universe. While the chanting is audible and results in ominous, glowing blue spheres to form around him, if he successfully completes a chant, he can possess animals, those with poor mental ability (AKA Mooks or minor NPC with the GM's permission, of course), or even inanimate objects. While possessing someone or something, he has full control over their body and speech, and should he free them without rupturing the body in the process, they wont remember anything that happened, essentially having blacked out. However, while possessing a target his own body cannot move - should he die for whatever reason, his 'link' to the host vanishes, freeing the possessed character.
  • If there are birds nearby, Abe's chanting will cause the birds to reflexively fly into a vertical ring shape. The chant merges with the ring, forming a portal. The destination is often unclear until someone jumps into it, but is never lethal and often useful.
  • Abe can also be energized by energy drinks for a variety of effects. However, it is unknown if this is simply due to mudoken physiology reacting with otherwise normal drinks, or if it's because the stuff they drink on Odd World is just that chemically enhanced and awful. (Up to GM)
  • If Abe does a big enough, kind enough deed (such as rescuing a whole bunch of imprisoned people/animals, saving peoples lives, averting a disaster, completely sacred trials of ancient rituals etc.) Abe is blessed by 'Quarma', the universe's energy, and can transform into Shrykull, an ancient mudoken deity of war that effortlessly destroys all nearby threats - but which, unfortunately, Abe cannot control, thus making it a risk to everything too.

Story idea... I suddenly remember the Crisis Crossover story from before where Dr. Hell gets involved.

I'm sorry, but everything in the RP has to reasonably be able to fit into the modern world. There's fairly free reign otherwise, but they have to work as far as fitting into modern Earth. Modern Earth with magic and high technology(both mostly secret most likely, unless the details of a series entered has them not be. Though it would only be known for that series), but still.

As I remember, that military tangent was very not well received and I will be doing as much as I can to avoid it.
