Wasn't there a point in time they found that they used to use Silicon Dioxide (Good old sand) as one of the ingredients for Doritos? Not sure if they changed the recipe since then.

Also, still single and abstinent, and to paraphrase a favorite comedian of mine it's "Not by choice, but rather circumstance."

I swear reading some of the posts a few pages back was like looking at lonely hearts section.

I'm in similar position to many of you here as well. Being happy with my singledom is one the better things I've done. Doesn't mean I don't want a relationship and all that jazz.

Just saying if any of you guys are feeling really bad about it or just want to talk, feel free to send a PM.

My big problem is that I have no idea how to work up the courage to talk to a guy I really like.

I'm past that stage in my life. Now the big problem is finding someone who reciprocates those feelings. Five years since my last relationship (which was my first), still no one of whom to speak.

While I've actually had two that were widely gapped from each other and that last one ended a year ago, the rest of rather defines my problem too.

I am at the moment quite content with singledom though, and why not considering how the last one ended up.

Well I'm still here, although in the strange situation of knowing for a fact that someone I like reciprocates and would date me were it not for understandable hesitance on their part.

What's the reason for their hesitation, if you don't mind me asking?

Ah, well I guess that's sort of positive? I haven't had much fortune either, then again literally EVERYONE no matter where I'm at is always taken. It's like there was this massive gathering I missed out on, probably because I was too busy with work or playing video games.

In all honesty though I kind of don't care right now, too focused on more important things...same as every time I posted before.

I'm currently operating under the assumption that it's because I live a few hours from any major city. Otherwise, I'd have to deal with the other alternatives.

So I'm confused a little here - is this just a general discussion thread for single peeps, or is there more a motive to it than that?

Because single guy here, but hasn't been interested in romance since the one attempt in high school.

The only qualifier is that you're single. Some of us are comfortable with remaining single, and some of us want to escape. So, it's a casual discussion on the nuances of not having a romantic partner.

Ah, thank you for the elaboration.

But yeah, I'm not really interested in any romantic affairs or anything right now. I'd like to think I'm a lot wiser than I was in high school now, but I'd much rather have just good friends at least than something like that right now. Plus, as the status on me says, I'm kinda married to my work at present anyways.

Problem is that for me I am missing out on both just by circumstance (my good friends either are not going to college at the very moment for personal reasons or they are off doing there own things).

There is one girl who seems to be interested in me in one of my classes. She asked for my number at one point so....
