"Despite everything I've learned in my adult life, all the maturation and lessons I've undergone, I still look at clocks when it comes to 1:37pm and giggle internally."

Quick Bio

  • Age: 25
  • Gender: Male
  • Class: Wizard 3, Bard 2, Rogue 1
  • Alignment: Neutral British

Born in the UK, grew up in South East Asia, traveled to more countries than most people I encounter, working full-time back in the UK.

I've been browsing this place for years but mostly couldn't be bothered with creating myself a profile until one day I suddenly felt the urge to add to the wonder that is this place. Thus my involvement in SCP-4445 has become even more noticeable.

By this point I'm quite established when it comes to my hobbies, I love roleplaying games and only want to experience more, sadly because life is a busy place and finding people in real life with compatible time-slots is difficult. As for other types of gaming: video, board, hell if I had the time/confidence/energy I'd be enjoying LARP.

Do you know how many people assume the country I grew up in (Brunei) is in the Middle East because its a Sultanate? Or because it kinda rhymes with Dubai? Nope. Brunei, Island of Borneo, South East Asia. Fun fact, Borneo is named after Brunei since it used to be part of the Bruneian Empire. History is quite interesting when you look to things most don't think about.

Brunei: Bruu-nai. Not Bruu-ney. Seriously.

This Troper has compiled the following list of tropes to better describe himself:

  • Bi The Way: I don't see why people limit themselves to a single gender, why have one when there are two?
  • Blatant Lies: I was a pyromaniac as a child and once accidentally set a guard hut on fire, upon being found by a guard my response apparently was: "I just found it like this".
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: Consistently scoring higher than 125 in IQ tests, but maintaining revision timetables? That's just unreasonable.
  • British Brevity: Mainly done for humourous reactions, but rather accurate description of my usual demeanour in public. Mainly due to stuff witnessed while traveling.
  • Character Development: You know how teenagers brood? And get grumpy easily? Well a good few years of university, traveling, job searching, and looking after yourself really does help you relax and learn to enjoy life and people more.
  • Cuddle Bug: Probably all I'd want to do if I was dating someone, sadly I'm starved for it currently.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Done for humour and a default mood at times.
  • Evil Laugh: Comes with the territory of being British and is a hell of a lot of fun to do.
  • Jack of All Trades: What my general aspiration and actions tend to be, playing games where customization of skills is possible means I generally end up doing a bit of everything with a single strong point so as to not completely become useless.
  • Knuckle Cracking: I use computers a lot, both casually for my hobbies and professionally at work. Chances of me using it for intimidation are low since by this point it has become a mere habit.
  • Laugh Themselves Sick: I feel compelled to inflict this upon myself since it is so much fun
  • Loony Friends Improve Your Personality: The main driving force behind the first few years of my social skills developing beyond that of a teenager.
  • Meaningful Name: My real name is Jack. What's my general aspiration in life?
  • Nerd: I take part in tabletop roleplaying games, play video games, happily have discussions about things way past the depth the average person is interested in, and work in IT. Hell I've even given LARP a go and the only reason I'm not currently taking part in any groups is due to money and planning.
  • Noodle Incident:
    • The above noted "set a guard hut on fire" incident...
    • I crashed the schools network server because I tried e-mailing a game to myself...
    • Got in trouble with a military convoy because I didn't pay attention when pulling out of the slip-road and for about five minutes rode in the middle of it...
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: By this point I may as well start listing it as one of my hobbies.
