I know that I read books for fun! I prefer Fantasies and Fairy Tales though. 
I would consider Manga to be a legitimate form of literature. I'm more affiliated with Mecha and the Superhero genres. 
I read books not because it's "fun", rather I read them because there is so much to learn and grasp from them. 
I would actually read them for my many little brothers and sisters' enjoyment. 
Sorry, I'm not much of a book reader here; however, cookbooks for fried foods are what I would read. 
In my home, Marchenland, books and their stories actually come to life; and I've had much fun from that — kuru!
