The main character is a soldier in the marines, who watches as these creatures incinerate his hometown. He vows vengeance, and, by the end of the book, after collapsing on the ground in exhaustion, he most definitely gets it.

An anime about a group of 5 robotic teenagers who are part of a team called I.C.E., aka the Investigational Crime-fighting Exonauts. The antagonists are the Robotic Macromolecules, a bunch of tiny orginisms, who when they morph into Robot Form, turn huge. And the Macromolecules do not like ice cream.
