Suggestion: Dual Wielding

The current image is okay, but River Tam is a thousand times cooler. [1]◊ [2]◊ [3]◊
I think 1 is too dark and 2 (and maybe 3) needs to be cropped, like so. [4]◊

And a few more with River. [5]◊ [6]◊ (6 is the same pose as Waif-Fu.)

First is too dark, second is too busy, and I don't like the art in the third.

But yeah, the Code Geass pic isn't very good. There's a LOT you can do with trope, we should have fun with it. Like... someone dual wielding a normally two-handed weapon or something.

Current looks fine. It's clear and illustrative. Not seeing any reason to change. And Fan Myopia reasons like "X is totally cooler guys!" don't count.

I think the trope would be better served by using a person rather than a giant robot. Other objections I can think of are its size, and being somewhat uniform-in-colour (too much brightness, not enough contrast).

Especially when we have options like using page images◊ in a style that is not widely used on this wiki◊.

1.4 and 1.5 are good and clear, but I very much like 4 because it is unusual and because it shows dual wielders doing wielding. We could crop it to just the two men fighting.

I'd prefer a crop of 4 over the current.

4 is great, but I think the current crop is too graphic? I mean, someone is being stabbed in the heart. A crop of the third guy might be better?

That is not in the least bit graphic.

The person on the right is Guns Akimbo and too much is going on.
I didn't even see the stabbing until you pointed it out.

(I think you may be unclear on what 'graphic' means? He is being stabbed in the heart, but the only sense in which he is being stabbed in the heart 'graphically' is that it is depicted in a graphic. :P)

I like old-fashioned, illustrative images. #7.

I like 7 best overall, but I got a good laugh out of 10...that's definitely going in Image Links.

Mentioned "graphic" because the nudity in Eldritch Abomination's Yog-Sogoth image was considered too much and got pulled down?

I'm against 7, old "classic" paintings and sketches are just a pet peeve of mine unless it's just a mind-blowing work of art.

Well, eye-catching is a better term, I don't find those simple and crude sketches eye-catching enough.
