Like the title says, what films do you like that most everybody else don't? Don't forget to explain why.

Might as well post the theme from one of mine:

Yep, I love Speed Racer. Really amazing visuals, a great message, and a faithful adaptation imo.

Lost in Space. I'm serious, man, that is one cool-looking movie. Too bad the script was awful.

Of course, don't you know anything about ALCHEMY?!- Twin clones of Ivan the Great

Green Lantern, I liked it better than most of the other Superhero movies out there. Trailer.

I love the third pirates of the caribbean movie [and its my favorite of the franchise], while people usually hate it to death.

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull. I actually enjoy it more than Raiders Of The Lost Ark. It still retains all the elements I liked from the older movies, action, adventure, references to historical things I know about. Seems what most people dislike are the aliens and Shaia Le Bouf, but I like sci-fi and watched Even-Stevens a lot, so those were fine for me. The "archeology" of the film isn't any better or worse than the rest of the films, despite the MacGuffin being based off a probable hoax. Heck, it even does give the little nugget of "go out in the field," which is much more beneficial in learning archeology/getting a job than a book or the classroom. If I had to name what I dislike about the film, is that it's more of a sequel to Raiders with little to no reference to Temple of Doom or (my favorite) Last Crusade.

You're not alone. I love that movie, horrendous dialogue and all, especially Gary Oldman being hilariously evil.

"I don't like the sound of that sound!" Best line in the whole movie.

I also like Avatar. Yeah, the story's been done before many times. Yes, the aesop is a bit broken. I don't care. It was fantastic. I really like Quaritch, even though I don't think he was the good guy like some people do. He was the bad guy...who just happened to be the most badass Badass in the history of Badassery.

Cinderella Man - I wouldn't say that everyone else hates it, but it gets ignored a lot.

The Dark Knight Rises - Again, everyone doesn't hate it, but it seems that I liked it more than most. I liked it even more than Batman Begins.

Michael Bay's Transformers.

Then again, I haven't seen the second one.

The Phantom Menace. Seriously, why does everyone hate Jar Jar?

I have another one, the 2009 Star Trek. Again, people don't hate it, but it seems like the general "nerd" opinion is that it's horrible. I like it. I think it gave the franchise what it needed to remain relevant. I also liked Star Trek: TNG, so there's that.

I like the 2009 Star Trek too. In fact, it's what introduced me to Star Trek and got me interested in its universe in the first place (although to long-time fans that may not be a recommendation of either the movie or of me); I was only vaguely aware of it before then.

Avatar. It gets hated on so much these days, but I still enjoy it immensely. In fact, I found I actually liked it better after seeing it a few times.

Re: The Phantom Menace. Seriously, why does everyone hate Jar Jar?

I know! He was meant as comic relief and I didn't find him annoying. I like the prequel trilogy better then the original. My favorite is Attack Of The Clones. It has gorgeous costumes, a passionate love story, and determined characters.

[up]"Passionate"? There, I have to disagree. Even if the dialogue weren't so corny, it'd have a hard time competing with this:

I don't think there were very many people who didn't like The Dark Knight Rises. It was the second biggest money maker of it's year.

It seems like everything that I love everyone else hates. The Prince & Me did horrible at the box office and it's trope page even says that it was barely noticed when it came out but I love the chemistry of Paige and Edvard.

I have a soft spot for Minority Report. Though Tom Cruise went to some dark places in that one. To this day I haven't heard one person praise it.

Well since my two top guilty pleasure movies have all ready been mentioned (Avatar and Lost in Space), I guess I'll have to go with my third choice, Waterworld. Yes it's campy and stupid, but it's a fun movie all around with a fantastic score.

A lot of Steven Seagal's films. I have an entire collection of what I believe are his best films.

Hey, there's nothing like cracking open some beer or the liquor of your choice and watching a couple of masterpieces featuring a guy who breaks more limbs than a lumberjack with some friends.

Out For Justice and Above The Law are indeed some of the greatest action films ever made. On Deadly Ground is one of the unsung great comedies. Want to play the hand slapping game?

You can get what you want and still not be very happy.
