Nyeah, we don't need you, Betsy! My brother and I have been having fun with this, though then the connection died. I must say, there's an awful lot of W 40 K referenced. Hm, does your offer of help mean we've got all the locations?
Oh, and for some reason "...look up" rings a bell as the location used by a troper normally. Can't recall who, though.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Right, Lets go and find some pranks from around the web then, shall we?
- Google is on top form with Google nose. They have also added a new feature to Google maps.
- Youtube is finally selecting it's winner.
- Reddit is being more honest about what it is all about. (You get auto redirected to this subreddit)
The German Wikipedia says that UNESCO has declared "Anal" to be "potentially threathened".
Also, I can't list the jokes here...
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOh, Youtube's is gold.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineMy Dad woke me up with a good one: "The North Koreans have entered the DMZ."
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!Neat.
Wookieepedia Memory Aurek announces Episode VII will be the long-awaited Star Wars/Star Trek crossover.
Best line of the article. They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver!
xkcd does some strange, strange things and also features a word filter-switcher on its forums.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the line4chan has a board that is what I'm guessing Reddit is supposed to be like.
The Google Map should actually have Xs on it.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.OK, there are 8 of the randomized locations that refer to one or another of the mods, and one more that can be connected to a particular mod, but also refers to something in Real Life.
Of the 8 that refer to something connected to a specific mod, one, on checking, is going to be probably impossible to find the connection, so I'll give it to you as a freebie: "Hickey Brothers" is a cigar and hookah lounge that I hang out at in Real Life. I thought I had mentioned the name here at least once, but a site search indicates that I had not. Apologies.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Youtube have really outdone themselves this year. They are broadcasting the nominations for the winner of youtube live!
They are saying this will take 2 years. XD
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.Two years? Is that to list the nominees? Because the video I saw last night said they'd be announcing the winner in 2023.
Fresh-eyed movie blogProbably for the listing, yeah.
A different shape every step I take A different mind every step of the lineA google of the Hickey Brothers one led me to what I guess is that place a while ago. Had I known it was a mod one, you'd've been my first choice as to who it referred to. :P
"The director's chair" would be likely for Eddie, and such a generic thing would probably be hard to find a certain reference for in a work.
If locations can refer to normal tropers as well as mods, "ebriated" would go for one of the Drunks, but I assume it's not the case. As it is, if it's a modlocation, it could apply to any of the CO Bbies, surely.
Tangent, shima, blackcat, and Willbyr have all posted in the Gardeners thread, but it seems to be 'cat who's there most, at a glance. (It's hard to tell you apart!) So that might be "the garden", or that one could be completely mundane.
What's the weather like in Finland? "Snowed in" might refer to Best Of if that's the current state of that Nordic country, which doesn't seem unlikely.
The Sliding Scale War could be a reference to that thread Ironeye made a while ago about sliding scales or whatever it was, but who knows.
Are there any people in the Southern Hemisphere? (Don't you dare take that literally.)
Aaand with all of those I'm probably reaching really really far and thus leading us down dead ends.
That was the amazing part. Things just keep going."Snowed in" might indeed refer to the weather here. It's not too cold but we'll probably have lots of snow for a couple of weeks yet.
Actually, we did have a talk about being "snowed in" (which you never are in Finland because we've got the infrastructure to deal with snow) in one of the Mod threads.
EDIT: I looked up some weather data; just saying "it's not cold" doesn't mean much to you if you don't know what I'd call "cold."
It's a bit below 0 Celsius right now, which is not cold. It's been at -20 at times in the last couple of days but that's not too cold, either. The snow is a bit over half a metre deep, which isn't much but I suppose it's more than usual for April.
When it gets to about -30 I'll normally start complaining that it's getting cold.

Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Deviant ART has a "dating site" feature. You take a quiz and it pairs you with someone.
Except that I think it pairs you with the same person each time, because it gave me the same crappy Sonic fanartist on both tries.
The funny thing about the Google Nose bit is that I actually have seen discussions in the literature about actually bringing such a thing into being.
I just told my brother that North Korea invaded the South.
When we both rushed downstairs, I played Trololo.
FIMFiction Account MLPMST PageI didn't check to see how far up the list of results my Hickey Brothers was on Google. I probably should have. Good detective work, though
That's not what we had in mind, but it does work. Half points.
Indeed it could refer to the Drunklings, but you have correctly guessed that it refers to the mods who hang out in COBbies. It started one evening when Fast Eddie accused blackcat of posting while inebriated, and she replied that she was not inebriated, she was indiana. "[E]briated" caught on.
Nope. That one is a work reference. Specifically, a song is what we had in mind.
Yep. It was added to the list during a discussion of relative snowfall. He mentioned how much snow was on the ground in Finland and the North American mods pointed out that for us, that depth of snow would have everyone completely snowed in.
Exactly. That's what it is.
Nope. you did pretty well on the ones you picked out. You didn't pick out all of them yet, though.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Ironeye has declared war on sliding scales, so we decided on that as his location. Snowed in was indeed meant to be a reference to that Finnish agent.
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerBut I should've done a Derren Brown's Apocalypse thing and planted little signs about Korean tensions on the TV, and a fake BBC News site ETC, before making up a fake rolling news report saying that North Korea has launched a nuclear missile at Seoul, and US missiles are minutes away from flattening everything.
Of course, I'm not Derren Brown.

Give 'em some time on identifying the references, Best Of. We can fill in any that they simply couldn't get (and I'm thinking that there may be about five that won't be identified, because they are about specific people who post here and you'd need to be familiar with that person's posting history to get it) tomorrow.
