Personally, I vote for Ungoliant or Coyote, who are more than just humans with a Lovecraftian Superpower.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableCoyote would probably be simple to screengrab, but I don't think there are any "official" images of Ungoliant. Just fan art.
Well, I for one would like to see a better one first. Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
Check out my fanfiction! Also voting Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
(The other reason I lean against Hellsing and Berserk is that they are likely to be removed from the page in future cleaning, much as they were from Humanoid Abomination.)

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableAll the pics in 6 are good examples but I don't think they'd translate well into page pics.
7 looks a little too humanoid.

I love that version of Ungoliant - it's very obviously spider-like while still obviously being scarcely anything like an actual spider - but I think it might be hard to fit to page-size and keep all the details.
Oh - there's also Urgo-hem◊.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI don't like those because of the fact we've already got a Giant Spider trope. I see that they're different tropes and all, but I think avoiding them is a good idea. Though the first is better, since it has little tiny human-looking arms too, but those are too subtle, especially once it gets shrunk to size.

That is just a monster. This trope requires more.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanA still from the manga may be better because yeah, in the anime it was a bit... wisp-monster-y.
[1]◊ Something like that? I still think that there are a lot better examples out there, and in this topic. Honestly, the Captain is not a very good example. Hell, Alucard himself in some of his "doggy" forms would be better.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. This isn't just a trope about appearance... it's true that a good illustration doesn't have to be an example, but with a set of tropes that keep causing problems with shoehorning and a lot of good examples, we really should be able to find a good illustration that is also a proper example.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI mean in appearance. Most of the time he looks more like a Big, Badass Wolf or, in the anime, too undefined to be much of anything.

Would that image of Coyote in his true form work?
Technically not a necro, but it's at the clocking point, so tick tock tick tock...
As far as the image goes, I think it's too stylized. That said, the Mhoddy-doo (sp?) in #1072 might be a good option, especially if combined with the shot of Coyote above him.

I meant on the top right.
I don't know what a mod-whatever is, nor what you mean by "too stylized." It's 2D art, they're kinda stylized by definition.
Coyote from 1070 is in a nice corner that's easy to crop, and I don't think it's too styalised (it's certainly less so than Coyote from two pages later). Good as the red-eyed black dog Mhoddy Doo is two pages later, I don't think it will make for such a neat image. Ergo, here is the Coyote suggestion.

That was the amazing part. Things just keep going.Actually, the regular coyote being there is probably also a good thing. It shows that Coyote (with a capital C) is both similar and incredibly different from the creature.
That's excellent. Put it up.
I dig it.

Does anyone have a good picture of the Captain(Hellsing)? He's a) recognizable as lupine, and b) more obviously eldritch than the Beast, the current image.
