Already in use. No points for guessing where.
And I'm relatively certain it's a shopped image, so I'm not adverse to pulling it.
Check out my fanfiction! That is indeed an old, old shop.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThat's probably older than this site itself.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. This is a memetic picture? How so? I don't recall seeing it outside of here.
Moon◊Was about to suggest a picture from Shark Night but it is already being used for the work page.
What about Blue Demon◊ or Raging Sharks◊?

I vote keep the image, why lets see
1)Its not that bad a Photoshop 2)Its cool 3)It shows the trope.
New theme music also a boxAye.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.Vote to keep current.
I must be cruel, but to be kind That bad may begin, and worse be left behindI don't think it really falls under Image Macro/Meme, even factoring in the Snopes article behind it (thanks for that). Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
Moon◊I think either of the pictures I link in post are better at conveying the trope.
All these images are good for me, but doesn't the fin one have its own trope?

"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'm can't find any shark fin tropes. Just Shark Man, Threatening Shark, and Shark Pool.
+1 vote (I did say "Aye", but I just wanted make myself clearer) for keeping the image. There is no problem with the current one and the other suggestions are not particularly impressive.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.General consensus seems to be for keeping current picture. Any final comments before hollering to close the thread?
Maybe have the caption link to that Snopes page somehow so nobody would confuse it for something real?
whateverNo need, since its pretty obvious that its fake.
New theme music also a boxIt's not "obviously fake", but why should we care?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI..don't know.
New theme music also a boxFor completeness?
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableActually, given that we are in the custom of giving the Image Source whenever possible, I think a link to a page explaining the origin of the picture would be appropriate.

Agreed.
Done. Since people seem to be satisfied with the current picture, I think we can close this thread.
I don't know that this necessary counts as an image macro, but I'm pretty sure it is a meme picture. Not sure if that is a problem, but in case people decide it needs to be pulled, we should consider an example from fiction.
I think that a crop of This ''Jaws'' DVD cover◊ would work. It certainly gets across the idea of menace and danger.
