A group of DJ's who have finally had their big breakthrough thanks to a massive club hit they have grown to hate prepare for the biggest performance of their lives. Soon after the gig starts, the fog machines start pumping a powerful neurotoxin into the air, causing everyone to convulse in a dance-like manner, the DJ's unaffected because of the hidden respirators in their signature masks. The performance then goes on for two full days. By the time the police arrive the musicians are long gone, their smash hit playing over and over at maximum volume, and the crowd have passed out from exhaustion, most robbed of their valuables.

A weird dream sequence, involving the protagonist being strapped to a chair, and his father making jump-scare faces at him. The player gets to control him starting at the 3 minute mark, and then the dream gets even weirder, with him wandering into rooms that look like they come from 5 different time periods all at once, and enemies that usually harm him not making much advance on him.

Pretentious Emerson, Lake, and Palmer- Karn Evil 9. ^note This is divided into 3 "Impressions," and each one has a different feel. Keep that in mind when assigning your situation.

A mad scientist is working on his greatest creation; a fully sentient A.I. robot, placed Frankenstein-style in the middle of the scientist's lab. At first the scientist is aware of how dangerous his work is, but as he gets closer to completion he starts whizzing around the lab in excitement, completing complicated processes in mere seconds. Eventually, to his delight, his hard work pays off as the robot opens its eyes for the first time.

The next part chronicles the robot's rise to stardom, getting ferried from place to place and shown off at the most prestigious technological exhibits. Entirely by happenstance, it watches and becomes fascinated with a magician's performance, and with its newfound fame manages to become a top-notch performer itself. It starts to incorporate dangerous tricks into its show, but is able to pull them off with magnificence.

It then focuses on a rival magician, driven to murderous jealousy over the robot's popularity. He challenges the robot to a magical showdown, each of them pulling off more and more elaborate tricks in front of a raptured audience. However, it starts to become clear that the rival is trying to destroy the robot with his magic, and that the robot is only surviving by sheer luck alone.

Enraged by his failure, the rival slips up and makes a mistake in his performance, earning jeers from the audience. To his surprise it's the robot who comes to his defense, complimenting him on an otherwise superb performance. With a change of heart, the two of them work together to pull of a trick that's magically and technologically spectacular. The entire audience, including the robot's creator, break out into wild applause. Cue credits, with the final scene being a flashback to when the robot first became aware (this time from the robot's point of view).
