Prematurely launched pages and pages that weren't fully fleshed out at the point of launching, are a big problem. Since these usually share several problems at once, this thread is aimed at re-running them through the TLP for fixing - the usual fix - or cutting them if they are too bad.
Problems this thread deals with include bad names, not enough/bad examples, unclear description, etc.
For the interested, here's a list of recently created pages. Launches
Note: Please do not request a mod to unlaunch drafts that don't have any issues besides lacking a launch notice/24hr launch notice. While 24hr launch notices are mandatory, there are a few exceptions to the rule. If you see a draft's sponsor launch a TLP without an announcement, it's best to remind them of our TLP Guidelines first. If they continue to repeatedly launch drafts without a launch notice, you can report them on Ask The Tropers or the TLP Community Issues thread.

From what I know, Metal Gear Solid 5 (or "Metal Gear Solid V", officially) is actually comprised of two games: The first is called "Ground Zeroes", which is the prologue to the second one, called "The Phantom Pain", akin to how MGS2 is split into the "Tanker" chapter and the "Big Shell" chapter (though that one is just one game).

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. What Happened to the Pet? has a dearth of examples and doesnt't seem to have been taken through YKTTW before being launched two years ago.
Ambiguous Ethnicity seems to have been launched without any kind of notice, which is obvious since it's kind of an underdeveloped mess.
Both of the above are candidates for cutlisting and unlaunching.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanJust dropping a pre-notice about Deadly Mantis in case it gets launched. Thing isn't even a trope.
Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Well it looks like it was just created today, so it may grow.
But it needs a namespace in that case.

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.OK. Namespaced it and messaged the troper. Main/ page cutlisted.

^ Slackcircus was mislaunched to a redlink, and it wasn't close to being finished. It's a work page, but I think the launcher misunderstood "Work Pages Are A Free Launch".

Oppression anywhere is a threat to democracy everywhere.Dumb Dodo Bird was apparently created a while ago without going through YKTTW. No crosswicking, no index.
I guess there's a valid trope in it, except for the very last sentence of the description which says: "Not actually about dumb dodos, but about any dodo [i.e., Not A Trope]".
Let's just say and leave it at that.Well, the story of the dodo's extinction is sort of well-known. I assume that is the reason why the description is written like that.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCut/YKTTW, I think.
I'd say send it to YKTTW for polishing.
In other news, Creepy Laugh is a badly-written stub with no examples.

If I file Dumb Dodo Bird in YKTTW, am I supposed to send the existing page to the cutlist?
Let's just say and leave it at that. No, you wouldn't cutlist the existing page.
As was done with Company Town, once the new version is finished, the trope gets launched (which only puts a link to the YKTTW in the discussion page), and the new content replaces the current text.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpAll right. I ykttw'ed Dumb Dodo Bird.
Edit: Yes, that's the way I understood it.

Let's just say and leave it at that.To clarify the last part of my previous post (in retrospect it could be confusing), the content change is manual, not automagically done by the launch button. The old text has to be deleted, and the new text pasted into its place.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpPretty sure Creepy Laugh has come up here before, and that it was decided to cut and/or YKTTW.
RE: Mr Gum. Cut.

I'd like to send this again to ykttw. Fist of Enthusiasm. It needs more examples and change the description. It's by no means anime/manga specific.
Now how do I do it? Is there a way to restore its old ykttw discussion? Or do I create a fresh one? I think in this case the article doesn't need to get cut and it can stay on the wiki.
I think that the "Trope Description Improvement Drive" thread would be better for Fist of Enthusiasm, given that it is several years old, went through YKTTW properly, and is not a stub.
Ok, fair enough, but in my experience ykttw is the best way to collect more examples.
Is the latter an actual alternative title for the game? If so, I'd say remove it from the indices and redirect it. If not, cut.
