-way inland at the MO/KS border- Though this cold front that I am experiencing is affecting you guys...
[Obligatory Spongebob joke here]
My job here is done.
Ha ha, you're so original, I haven't heard that one 50 times a day in the past few days!
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Really? You live under a rock inside a cave or something? I've seen that joke everywhere :|
I was being sarcastic.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. You mean the 'Attack of the 50-Foot Space-Suited Squirrel' joke has already been done?
Wow. I am shocked.
Incidentally, its 'wake' is where it has been in the past. You're in its path or possibly inside its cloudy maw.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'But "wake" sounds cooler, more dramatic.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Well, you'll be in its wake in a couple of days.
'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'What are this Hurricanes you people speak of?
I hope everyone on the East Coast will be safe and sound.
I was also scared by that earthquake that hit the ocean near western Canada.
Well, I had never heard of that. I suppose tha north american plaque ends a little off the western coast of canada.
EDIT (Actually, it ends on the continent. And its Plate, not plaque. My bad.

Power has started to flicker in my house. We're probably gonna get some really bad stuff soon.
Oh, and almost everywhere on the shore is flooded, so that's pretty brutal.

'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'"Dear Diary.
The serpent is here.
We thought it was an old sailor's tale, something drunk men claim to see in the dark when their wits end and their fears surface. We were wrong.
The serpent is here.
It is the incarnation of the hate the sea feels for us, and its fury will never be sated. The serpent is here, and it will not leave"

I don't know whether you've ever experienced a hurricane or not, but you absolutely nailed what it feels like.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.The whole snow with the tropical storm thing is mind blowing. <- Gulf Coast person.
Be safe north-eastern tropers.
People are mirrors. If you smile, a smile will be reflected.Oh totally, most of the time we only get tiny parts of hurricanes that got into the smeller gulf. but I was there a while ago when a hurricane completely ruined my weekend in Cancun.
There's a superior OTC thread about this.
Quod gratis asseritur, gratis negatur.Eh, no need to be overly on-topic about it though.
I lost power for about 30 seconds a half hour ago, so it's probably coming further inland and getting worse now.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. And another 2-second outage. This is fun.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Odd is going to be eaten by sea monsters.
It's just a light rain on my end. The brunt of the storm isn't supposed to come our way until Wednesday. I just checked in with my parents and they're in the thick of things; it won't clear up until tomorrow (morning, I believe).
I know it'd be unrealistic to say there'll be no damages whatsoever, but I deeply hope everyone makes it out of this ok.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The Mad
Living in NJ, I'm getting buffeted by this right now, though where I specifically live isn't getting hit bad compared to other parts of the state. My school is right on the ocean and it's been closed straight through Thursday.
Anyone else standing in Sandy's wake?
