Hurricane Sandy

Living in NJ, I'm getting buffeted by this right now, though where I specifically live isn't getting hit bad compared to other parts of the state. My school is right on the ocean and it's been closed straight through Thursday.

Anyone else standing in Sandy's wake?

I was also scared by that earthquake that hit the ocean near western Canada.

Well, I had never heard of that. I suppose tha north american plaque ends a little off the western coast of canada.

Power has started to flicker in my house. We're probably gonna get some really bad stuff soon.

Oh, and almost everywhere on the shore is flooded, so that's pretty brutal.

Oh totally, most of the time we only get tiny parts of hurricanes that got into the smeller gulf. but I was there a while ago when a hurricane completely ruined my weekend in Cancun.

Odd is going to be eaten by sea monsters.

It's just a light rain on my end. The brunt of the storm isn't supposed to come our way until Wednesday. I just checked in with my parents and they're in the thick of things; it won't clear up until tomorrow (morning, I believe).

I know it'd be unrealistic to say there'll be no damages whatsoever, but I deeply hope everyone makes it out of this ok.
