I was pleasantly surprised by Shiho. Between her actions and how close Miho and Maho are, after they reconciled at the end of the series, shows she must have done at least a few things right as a mother.
@2047 Numerous individuals, even the more positive of reviewers, have remarked on MEXT's actions as being unsportsmanlike.
The only resource you need for tropesWell the article does make a point about MEXT's reasons for shutting down Ooarai Academy, but like what the article also said, this is not mentioned in the movie. So really, MEXT just comes out here as an antagonistic figure.
Also, since Miho and the others did beat the University all stars, don't they qualify for a spot in the Japanese Sensha-do team?
There's no denying they come across as the bad guys, but my point is that, contrary to what post 2047 was saying, people have noticed MEXT's actions
The only resource you need for tropesI think he meant "Nobody in-universe called out MEXT for bringing a goddamn giant ass gun against a high school team/"

Fair enough, but that they beat the bloody thing even if it was unfair only serves to enhance the movie's message further. Still, I'm rather curious to hear what he thought of the movie overall.

The only resource you need for tropesSo I finished the movie... and it was Too AWESOME, There are so many awesome moments there that I'd just end up writing about the entire second half of it. All I could say is whatever they did in the anime, they more than topped it here, and it was glorious.
This serious is surprisingly appropriately series for what is essentially a serious about Tank warfare...the schoolgirl stuff doesn't take away any of the seriesness.
It is decent.
That is also decent.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Did a little checking on the Shown Their Work page for any updates...
So basically, they're the Sensha-do equivalent of the Bloody Magpies Blood Ravens?
Looking back at the movie, Miho chose Maho and Kay to be platoon commanders along with herself during their match. While Maho is an obvious choice, why Kay? While Kay is a charismatic leader, both Katyusha and Darjeeling are strategists and either of the two are a more logical choice.
Also, the sound dramas are funny, Clara's backstory seems implausible, but funny at the same time. Makes me wonder if Nonna was just making it up, although Nonna, being who she is, is probably saying it with a straight face, which kinda makes the story more believable from Katyusha's point of view.
What's Clara's backstory? <hasn't seen the movie or listened to the sound dramas yet>
Also... MIHO AND MAHO TEAM UP IN THE MOVIE?! Now I have even more of a reason to watch it!!!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Yes, the BT-series could go trackless like that - it was actually one of their biggest selling points, giving them unparalleled speed on roads.
What's precedent ever done for us?
Wasn't this dependent on the fact that its roadwheels had rubber lining?
So I stumbled on a chapter of Motto Love Love Sakusen about Shiho, after watching a video replay of the Ooarai-Kuromorimine final match, concludes that she's been lacking as a mother and decides to establish a better relationship with her daughters...
Needless to say, it was quite funny. Shiho becomes The Comically Serious whose attempts of "moderate" steps to establish a good relationship with Maho end up either being strange (like suddenly groping Maho as a form of skinship, all while keeping a straight face, then leaving without a word), wildly misinterpreted (like giving Maho a platinum credit card as "moderate allowance", then leaving without another word, causing Maho to think that she's just been kicked out), or downright over-the-top (like making Maho participate in a 2vs30 sensha-do practice match as "moderate game") Who knew that Shiho can be so funny and awkward as a parent.
Yeah, that chapter. While Love-Love Sakusen generally delivers on the laughs, I lost it at the Platinum credit card. Let it not be said that Shiho settles for half-measures!
On the contrary, for Shiho, those are just half-measures.
My favorite part was the skinship part. Shiho literally just walks in, fondles Maho, then walks out, all while wearing the same serious expression. Must've been weird for poor Maho.
I just read what's out for Ribbon Warrior (only 10 chapters right?) and I must say seeing people terrified of Duck team of all teams was great.
I find it funny how Ooarai has turned into The Dreaded for all non-themed schools in such a short time period ahaha. That outside impression being TOTALLY off.
Well, when the only thing of note a tankery club has done since it was revived was win the national tournament in spite of overwhelming odds, including defeating a nine-times champion team who only lost their streak due to an unsanctioned action at the worst possible moment by a subcommander who is a known ideological dissident within her school's tankery team (and is no longer with said school), as well as defeating last year's champion team (who won by the sheer luck of said subcommander doing what she did)...

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. You'd expect some to call it a flukey fluke, but nobody can deny feats so legit.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Once is a fluke. Twice is getting unusually lucky. Beating every single opponent from start to finish in the tournament, with all but one of the battles having you being at a clear disadvantage in both numbers and raw power? That is you having prodigious skill, or someone rigging the contest, or all of the other teams somehow deciding simultaneously to throw their fights while convincingly pretending to be fighting for real. Guess which one of those is remotely believable.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. All of 'em?
Skills beats ridiculous circumstance, I guess that's the closest thing to happening logically from a satisfying narrative standpoint.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.The jerk from MEXT certainly thought it was, which set of the plot of the movie.
So I finally got my own Gn P: Der Film and I managed to watch the first half until my goddamn phone died and so far it was awesome. A few things to note and some of these are spoilers so read at your own risk:
I'll just rewatch the thing tomorrow,
