For the uninitiated... A contingent of tropers (mostly from across America) holds regular get-togethers over the Interwebs on this site called Synchtube which lets individuals, such as ourselves, open and join in text-based chatrooms within typical web browsers (Firefox, Chrome, et. al.) that allow the chat participants to view YouTube videos in synchronization with everyone else present (without even needing to set up an account)... and we've decided to use said chatrooms to play cheeseball webvideos and feature-length movies found in the public domain which stretch all the way from letters B to Z, which everyone subsequently riffs on a la MST3K.
For over EIGHT years, everybody who gets involved mostly finds good enjoymentnote in calling out tropes that are recognized in the videos and stories and coming up with jokes to fling back at whatever's happening on the screen, many of which turn into various in-jokes and running gags (a Coven Glossary is kept and maintained for everyone's help and convenience HERE) to repeat in the chat.
We're always looking for new ways to better coordinate and expand our activities and are more than happy to welcome newcomers interested in joining our gatherings.

Just our rotten awesome luck! The WWE has announced that the coming Monday's Christmas-themed episode of their RAW program is scheduled to feature Hulk Hogan appearing as Santa Claus.
The "Santa with Muscles" jokes simply write themselves!
I don't suppose there's any way to hook that or a recording of it up to a Synchtube room?
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyOkay. Here goes my recommendation.
In 2000, MGM decided to create a film adaptation of Mark Twain's classic, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.
As a musical. An animated one. With Tom as a talking cat.
From the makers of The Secret of NIMH 2, Tom Sawyer boasts a number of country stars in the cast, including Rhett Atkins, Mark Willis, Lee Ann Womack, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams Jr. Also features Betty White, Don Knotts, and Hynden Walch (Princess Bubblegum on Adventure Time).
And of course there is no trailer on You Tube.

The only name of those I recognized was Don Knotts, but that alone is enough to interest me.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI'm pretty sure WWE will have a video or two of Hogan's segment(s) up on Youtube that we can watch the following day. I would not attempt to watch the show live (certainly not on Synchtube) and try sitting through the rest of WWE's bullshit just to hold out on getting those few gems (or, a least, what I hope would be gems).
If WWE's current angles and storylines are as dull and stupid as other wrestling fans tend to be saying these days, the fact that they're still reduced to falling back on "Santa with Muscles" for their Christmas show when the WWE could very well be heavily touting a recently released sequel to Jingle All the Way which the wrestling company co-produced ...I can't fathom how they manage to fill three butt-numbing hours of TV time on a Monday night.
I'll be keeping note of this one for once Christmas is out of the way. Thanks a lot.
Anyway, I was gonna be preparing for us this ridiculous spectacle of Patrick Swayze, Tim Curry, Chris Kattan, "Fat Guy in Jackass", and child actors making wacky hijinks in a shopping mall... but that has very well vanished from Youtube overnight.
So while I scramble now to think of an adequate replacement, I may as well should take this moment and get Ernest Saves Christmas out of our way while I can.

Christmas is in danger! It needs saving, and only Ernest can save it! So join us as Ernest Saves Christmas!
Before that, He-Man also saves Christmas in a special that only a five-year-old (myself when I was a kid) could possibly take seriously. Yes, I'll admit that lines like "Why can't I be evil?" "It must be the spirit of Christmas, Skeletor!" sounded deep when I was five years old, but I don't think they'd have quite the same effect today.

Alright, I don't know a lot about tonight's feature presentation, but any ABC Family TV movie hyped as "the sequel to Macaulay Culken's box office smash" has GOT to be a treat.
It's Richie Rich's Christmas Wish, with the likes of Martin Mull, Eugene Levy, a young Michelle Trachtenberg, and Richard Riehle (who I'm just learning now was actually credited as "Dr. Wise Man" in Time Changer).
Looking forward to this one...
The original was a box office smash? Really?
Also - this is a Fox Family original movie, to be precise.

Real busy at the moment, but I'll get this thing started right here...
Okay, tell me if you've heard this one before: What do you get when you combine Bill O'Reilley, Robocop, the 2/3 Wilson portion of Wilson Phillips, pro-wrestling, and Christmas?
Answer: One hell of an abysmal holiday pre-show.
Then, following that at the top of the hour, it's the even more abysmal (so I'm assured) Richie Rich's Christmas Wish.

Eric Roberts loves you!
And that's the closest we'll ever come to a Cool Cat/Talking Cat!?! crossover. It actually bothers me a bit that one Derek "God's Revenge" Savage got a better performance out of Mr. Roberts than David DeCoteau did... Actually, that's probably not fair of me to say, as there's lots more of the Roberts-DeCoteau partnership that we have yet to see for ourselves.
In other news, we're rolling out the heavy duty Christmas stink bombs now.
Tonight's fare certainly looks awful enough to actually seem intimidating—A Christmas Story 2. The very existence of this thing is deemed so baffling that the trailer actually goes out of the way to confirm for its potential audience that this is indeed the "Official Sequel" and not to be confused for some shoddy "fan film" or nightmarish hallucination. Rest assured; this is the real deal!
What catches my attention the most, though, is seeing Daniel Stern playing the Old Man, which seems... peculiar, in a roundabout way, seeing how the original Christmas Story's narrative framing led to the creation of The Wonder Years, on which show Daniel Stern provided the voice of the narrator... But then all these years later, he winds up in something related to what brought about The Wonder Years, and somehow winds up re-modelling a memorable character from the original movie as "Marv from 'Home Alone'-meets-Guy from 'Bushwhacked'-meets-Rob Schneider-meets-other annoying thing".
"IT'S A KLINK-UUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!! HUUURRRRR-DUUURRRRRR..."
Spread the word and invite somebody you hate. It's gonna be a long night of pain!
Thank goodness I've stocked back up on beer.

This looks like a poem, right
Well too bad, go fuck a bike
War is God.That's still a poem, Prom. It having cussing in it doesn't make it not a poem.

We're in for it now.
At the top of the coming hour, following our holiday pre-show, it's the surest travesty to hit our chat since F.A.R.T.: The Movie (probably), A Christmas Story 2. Yes, the "Official Sequel".

i do like my bike, but not to that extent .-.
It's the Saturday before Christmas, and we're rolling out the heavy hittin' holiday fare now.
So who is ready for a night with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sinbad, and Phil Hartman? Tonight, we're showing Jingle All the Way!
So last night's film was the equivalent of ten Arks of the Covenant?
I'm sorry I couldn't be there, but I was...well, cowering under the floorboards.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."No. It still sucked, though.
That which didn't kill the rest of us made us stronger.
Dammit. And we're all going to see A Christmas Carol tonight, too. -_- No version of Christmas Carol that isn't the George C. Scott version is worth leaving the house for.
i care but i'm restless, i'm here but i'm really gone, i'm wrong and i'm sorry, babyI'll try to be there today. Jingle All the Way is a personal favorite of mine.
