What would you do if you woke up to find that you were not in the same world you were the night before, that that dream about black hands with white glowing eyes in the middle grabbing you and pulling you somewhere actually happened?

That there were sections of the world where everything was grey and featureless, with a patchwork town made of wildly different buildings, inhabited by unsettlingly childlike villagers?

That instead of a sun or clouds or anything in the sky, there was just a blank white void overhead?

And what would you do if the only hint to what had happened was a massive temple-like building, locked from the inside, covered with a symbol you recognize from your dream the night before, along with the six stone markers circling it?

How will you react when the disembodied voice begins taunting you, challenging you to figure out what's happening?

And what will you do when you realize that the world itself seems to be changing, adapting to you?

Discussion Thread Here

Main Thread Here

I've been kicking this idea around for a while, and I think I'm finally ready to launch this now.

It'll start with the standard crossover style "people from a bunch of different worlds get thrown together" scenario, in this case drawign a lot from MMFRPG seasons 1 and 2. You can play it freestyle if you want, or you can try to follow the plot, I can deal with either.

The twist here, and what I hope will distinguish Ua BWS is that characters' actions and interactions can and will alter the world they're in in various ways. Some will be obvious, some more subtle. As to why this happens... well, that's part of the mystery.

I should state for the record that this is not a combat-based rpg. There will inevitably be some, yes, but it's definitely not the focus.

Standard R Ping rules, no metagaming, no godmodding, no douchery, etc. Keep things at PG-13 level, at most.

OCs are preferred but not mandatory, all characters should be a three or lower on the Super Weight scale. (just a note, if you have a character that you really enjoyed from an RP that died, or if you have a character you haven't been able to fit in anywhere, this is a great opportunity to use them.)

Also, in the case of fandom characters, nobody is allowed to know that they're fictional. That kind of thing in crossovers gets really old really fast.

Pairs of characters may be allowed in some cases, I'll look at them on a case by case basis.

If you're hesitant to sign up as somebody because you don't think they'll fit in, you're wrong. The more diverse the cast is, the more interesting the world will be. That said, I do reserve the right to ask for a nerf of certain things.

Character profile:

  • Name:
  • Species:
  • Age: (doesn't have to be a specific number, just a general range)
  • Appearance:
  • Powers/skills:
  • History: (If there are bits you'd like to keep secret at first to reveal later for a subplot, just pm them to me.)
  • Personality:
  • Other: (Any other tidbits you'd like to share)

So, any takers?

  • Appearance: Yo.
  • Powers/skills: Ability to morph; capable of morphing into a djabala chadoo Jubba-Jubba, and Hork-Bajir.
  • History: Dispatched to the planet Arn after her father inspired a Yeerk rebellion, Aldrea eventually found a soulmate in Dak Hamee; when the Yeerks eventually invaded the planet the two became co-leaders of a geurilla movement against the invaders.
  • Personality: Aldrea labors under the mistakes of her father, Seerow, and attempts to distinguish herself as a warrior and general in spite of the fact that she is female, which in her culture consigns her to a life of science and other passive careers.

  • Name: Dak Hamee
  • Species: Hork-Bajir

  • Powers/skills: Strong, fast, extremely agile, able to cause extreme physical damage with his numerous head/wrist/tail/knee blades.

Add me as interested, I'll probably play as Toph. Didn't get a chance to RP with her as much as I wanted in my last crossover RP.

  • Name: Flonne
  • Species: Angel
  • Age: 1520(?)
  • Appearance: "Flonne, the ANGEL OF LOVE AND JUSTICE, AT YOUR SERVICE!
  • Powers/skills:
    • Magic: Flonne is capable of powerful high level healing magic, and she can even ressurect people from an unconscious state. Very high level indeed!
    • Holy Arrows: An assault of white arrows from the heavens.
    • Divine Ray: Large, white wings blossom forth from Flonne's back. She ascends into the air and assails the foe with dozens upon dozens of purple beams of light.
    • Dragon Summoning: She has the ability to summon a dragon to aid her in battle.
  • History: Originally an angel from Celestia, she was sent on a mission to assassinate the demon Overlord Laharl. She never succeeded in the endeavor and instead ended up fighting against her own home. Through a series of events, she became a fallen angel.. and soon after she regained her title as an angel. Goes in a circle, sorta.
  • Personality: Flonne is loud and proud to say the very least. She'll babble on about love and justice until the cows come home. She's also an otaku and isn't afraid to show it. New DVD? BUYS IT. New Nendos? IT'S SHIPPING ALREADY. She's obsessive and dangerous to that point.
  • Other: Did I mention she's the angel of love and justice?

  • Name: Aino Minako/Sailor V
  • Species: Human (Magical Girl)
  • Age: 14
  • Appearance: As Minako and as Sailor V.
  • Powers/skills: By using her transformation pen and speaking the words "Moon Power, Make Up!" Minako transforms into Sailor V. In this form, her physical abilities (most notably her strength, durability and agility) are enhanced to superhuman levels, and she has access to various special attacks. She makes up for her academic underachievements by being incredibly atheletic, and this coupled with her experience as a crimefighter make her a very competent fighter. Minako owns a magical compact mirror, with which she performs several of her attacks. Additionally, she can use it to create magical disguises (up to and including disguising her own gender), and anything reflected in the mirror will have its true form revealed to her.
  • History: A mysterious superhero who fights evil by moonlight and wins love by daylight! Whilst her primary objective is to research the resurgence and fight the Dark Agency, she is known to stray from this goal in order to take on other evils, as well as fight more mundane criminals like bank robbers and jewel thiefs. Due to her habit of acting openly coupled with her willingness to cooperate with the authorities, she's become something of a cult figure as of late, leading to a vast array of Sailor V merchandise including dolls, manga and even a video game.

Once a regular, average, everyday schoolgirl, Minako was awoken to her powers roughly a year ago by a talking cat named Artemis. She currently is unaware of her status as a Sailor Soldier (although she's been having weird dreams lately of her past life) and is really far more concerned with trying to juggle her school and social life with her crimefighting. She has spent quite some time investigating an evil organisation known as the Dark Agency, who have been threatening her world for a while now.
  • Personality: Cheerful, goofy and a little bit of a ditz. However, there's a good chance that at least some of this is an act, as when she actually acts seriously, she is very serious. She's very determined , mostly due to her combat experience. All things considered, though, Minako is still somewhat mischeivous, and a known troublemaker.

  • Name: Colette Brunel
  • Species: Human Angel
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: Dwarven vow #7, justice and love will always win!
  • Powers/skills: Colette's main fighting style is to throw two rings called chakrams at the enemy, while seemingly not that powerful, she has a magical ability called Angel Skills that more than make up for it. She also seems to be incredibly strong, able to easily lift a grown man with one arm.
    • Angel Skills: They are all light-related attacks which invoke religious symbolism, which the angels themselves are derived from. All angel artes that are spells have a unique casting appearance that differentiate them from normal spells; they involve the caster being surrounded by feathers rather than the typical magic circle. The feather motif carries on in the artes themselves, as they make an appearance in some form during the arte.
  • History: Colette was born and raised in Iselia, a small community located in the north-western part of Sylvarant. When she was born, there was a Cruxis Crystal, an evolved kind of Exsphere, in her hand, signifying her as the Chosen of Regeneration. She is the seventh successful Chosen One, a being destined to regenerate the world by ascending the Tower of Salvation as an angel, thereby saving her world, Sylvarant.
  • Personality: Colette is a very clumsy and ditzy girl, who seems to be far too forgiving for her own good. Her klutziness can sometimes come off as a blessing since it somehow gets her out of sticky situations. Despite this, Colette is a kind, selfless girl who always puts others before herself.

ragna: What does being the "angel of love and justice" actually entail?

Moerin: Accepted.

Flame Haze: Does her magic come from a god or something, or is it self generated? Also, can I get some more details on her attacks?

Also, no more angels please @_@ I'd like some good diversity in the cast.

  • Name: Toph Bei Fong

  • Species: Human

  • Age: 13

  • Appearance: I'm going with the look she has on the post-series comics (see why on "Others")

  • Powers/skills:
    • Earthbending: the ability to manipulate the element of earth. An earthbender can do various things- from creating pillars (used either for defense, attack, or even for propelling someone to great heights) to full armors of stone.
    • Metalbending: Toph can locate the impurities in certain types of metal (like iron), and use these impurities to bend the metal.
    • Heightened seismic sense: thanks to her life as a blind girl, Toph has the ability to feel even the most minute vibrations of the earth, obtaining an incredible seismic sense. By using this sesmic sense, she can "see" where people are, how far away they are from her, and even how they look (only their physical build) She can also has the ability to detect lies by sensing people's heart vibrations. This seismic sense also means that she's vulnerable to opponents who require less contact with the ground, and if the soles of her feet are damaged, she becomes truly "blind".

  • History: She's the only child of the wealthy Bei Fong family. Her parents viewed her blindness as a disability, and preferred to keep her locked and away from the world. However, despite her "disability", she learned earthbending by imitating the movements of the earthbending Badgermoles, becoming "the greatest earthbender in the world" (according to her, of course). She kept her ability secret from her parents and even participated in various Earthbending tournaments, under the alias of the Blind Bandit, before joining the Avatar's group as Aang's earthbending master.

  • Personality: Toph is extremely direct, confrontational and independent. She hates the idea of authority (and ignores the concept of "well-manners"), and isn't afraid to voice her opnions about everything, also being a really sarcastic person. She may be a good judge of character and sometimes logical, but she's quick to anger, especially when she thinks people are treating her differently thanks to her "disability". However, behind her "hard as stone" facade, she's somewhat insecure about her blindness.

  • Others: Is it ok if she's from the post-series timeline? Like, after everything's good and peaceful?

You said OCs were allowed, sooooo...

  • Name: Hanabusa Ai(Akihiro)
  • Species: Human Magical Girl
  • Age: 16
  • Appearance: "Composite Magical Girl Pretty Ai-chan at your service!" That's her magical girl outfit, of course. She wears different clothes outside of her uniform, usually leaning towards warm colors.
  • Powers/skills:
    • Doki Doki Destruction(Weapon): The staff/mace which Ai uses. It can be used as a damaging melee weapon, or as a channel for Ai's special cards. Aside from being nigh-indestructible, there's not much else it can do.
    • A Composition of Magic(Transformation)GLITCHED: A card which originally transformed Hanabusa Akihiro into "Composite Magical Girl Pretty Ai-chan" for five minutes. Ai is capable of using basic magic, and all magical girl powers went up a rank. Ai's personality was(and still is) a more exaggerated and energetic version of Akihiro's. However, the card became embedded in Akihiro's side while mildly damaged during a particularly furious battle. This caused it to malfunction, activating while fusing with Akihiro. While Ai won the battle, she soon learned that there was no way to remove the card or revert to Akihiro, that she was permanently locked in the Ai form. She doesn't particularly mind.
    • Divine Buster(Special): This card causes a ball of pink magical energy to form at the tip of Doki Doki Destruction, where it is discharged as a devastating laser.
    • The Watery(Summon): This card summons a mermaid-like being made out of water. It can control water, and use it to attack the opponent. Lasts for three minutes.
    • Protection(Special): A circular barrier constructed from interlacing geometric lines forms in front of Ai. It can protect her from a single strike from a rank A attack, but repeated strikes can break it.
    • Moon Tiara Action(Special): Transforms Doki Doki Destruction into a glowing disc, which can be thrown much like a boomerang to hit the target. Empowered by energy, the disc is painful and damaging.
  • History: Bubbly, excitable, and cheerful, Hanabusa Ai bills herself as "a composition of magical girls from all across reality!" She has cards based off of the abilities of various magical girls from all over, due to her immense fangirling over literally all of them. Ai collects magical girl media and makes it no secret. Ai is ecstatic when she finds other fans of the genre, and will endeavor to become friends with them whenever possible. She is affectionate towards friends, and generally attempts to treat everyone nicely. Provided she's not angry, this usually holds together. If someone gets Ai angry... she won't hesitate to hit them. At all.
  • Personality: All the important parts are mentioned in the Composition of Magic Card description.
  • Other: Nothing much.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."
