Inspired by this thread
, I've noticed that this wiki doesn't have a dedicated cleanup thread for negativity.
As we all know, Complaining About Shows You Don't Like, Creator Bashing and other negativity isn't desired on the wiki, except in a few selected areas like reviews and several Darth Wiki pages (and even then, with limitations). And yet, it's one of the most common sins wiki contributors can make.
So, if you find a page, TLP or discussion whose content seems like a straight-up insult or any other bitching - including complainy soapboxing -, you might ask here for help with removing said content.

Broken Base is not about people having different ideologies, to include different religious and political beliefs. It isn't about everytime someone two or more people have a different opinion about something.

I personally hate it for the Stalking is Love trope and just how badly it was written, but that's beside the point and KS doesn't deserve bile for something she can't stand either. I'll clean it up.

Took a shot at the article, but I don't know where to start with the examples. Not just because of the Twilight-bashing, but also the many examples that only apply to her in real life. Seriously, why do people write tropes about the actor as a person (as opposed to their roles)? Nobody cares if an actual person drops a Cluster F-Bomb.

Speaking of the internet, while Characters.Sonichu and FanficRecs.Sonichu look good, Haiku.Sonichu and in a lesser measure Laconic.Sonichu are a bit complainy.

Definitely agree with you on the Haiku. But as for the Laconic, Wish-Fulfillment is not bad in and of itself. Just the way said Wish-Fulfillment manifested itself.

Really? Removing negativity because... it's negative? I'm sorry, but I don't see the point of this. We have YMMV pages for a reason, and while some pages do need to be edited for creepiness, the rest seems unnecessary. Not everyone is going to like everything.

We also remove positivity because it's positive (It's called excessive gushing), this wiki isn't a place for gushing or bashing. Even YMMV pages have to remain neutral (They're there to document Audience Reaction and character interpretation, not our personal opinions.)

If you're gagging for a place to bash or gush, Wordpress is that way. The issue isn't whether these are bad things, it's that they're off-mission.

Actually that one might need to be reviewed for having the examples cut, the description truncated, and the article locked, given that it seems to be basically a porn genre.
I'll just go ahead and flag it - if it's going to be kept, it will need a serious cleanup and possibly locking.

I'm kinda new on this forum, but I've been a lurker for about a year. I think Artistic License should be redlinked. It's an audience reaction that has nothing to do with the work's tropes or storytelling. At its best, it's trivia. At its worst, it's fodder for hatred, natter, and NERD RAEG.

First, Artistic Licnse despite the bad name isn't an Audience Reaction. Second, such a change does not seem to be warranted. Third, such a big change needs a Trope Repair Shop thread.

Haiku.My Immortal is funny as hell, but also mostly bashing. I'd leave it for the lulz if it weren't for the digs at Twilight at the bottom — however much I dislike it, I think it's uncalled for in this case. Should just the bottom two be axed, all the negative ones get the chop, or nothing be zapped?
