• Name: Gretchen von Goethe
• Age: 16
• Magic of Choice: Necromancy, more in the classical, “speaks to the dead” sense than the modern “raises the dead” sense”.
• Paint Color: Dark Blue
• Personality: Gretchen is distant and reserved, refraining from expressing emotion or connecting with people.
• Bio: Gretchen was born in Germany to Wolfgang and Marthe von Goethe, minor nobles. They loved her very much, but they raised her with trepidation for they saw war on the horizon... Soon, war broke out on her sixth birthday, and her parents went off to war, her mother as a soldier, and her father as a nurse, leaving her to be raised by her rich uncle, Valentin Vupius, who got out of combat duty because he was a scientist and engineer working with the military in Germany. Valentin was initially enthusiastic about the war, and built weapons with glee. However, the war began to wear on him, culminating with the execution of Gretchen's parents for treason her father for giving aid to wounded enemies, and her mother for her association with her father, which happened nine years later, again on Gretchen's birthday. Disillusioned with the war and German, Vaentin sent Gretchen to the Magic Academy the next year, and fled to Mexico with all of his research.
• Appearance: Gretchen is short and slim, looking younger than she actually is, with long black hair, and pale white skin. She has green eyes. Unless there’s some sort of dress code in the Academy, she always wears fancy dresses she brought with her from Germany.

Name: Xavier "Zavi" Taylor

Age: 18

Magic of Choice: Transformation magic. Think transfiguration from Harry Potter. *

Paint Colour: Bright lime.

Personality: Quiet and observing, preferring to choose his words to maximum effect. Not shy, but quiet. Very sympathetic to other people and does his best to play peacekeeper.

Bio: Nothing especially notable. Born and raised in Arizona. His father is a university lecturer in geography. His mother is a stay-at-home mum, though she did gain magic from M-Day (she had talent in scrying and the like). Having experienced/witnessed how difficult/dangerous, self education magic is, his parents sent him to the Magic Academy

Appearence: Tall, deep tan, dark eyes and curly black hair. Looking at him you'd probably guess some native American ancestry (and you'd be right, his grandmother was Navajo). Generally dresses pretty casually - T-shirts and cargo pants.

• Age: 17
• Magic of Choice: Cryomancy
• Paint Color: Teal
• Personality: Kaleb isn’t what you would call “popular”. He also isn’t what you would call “unpopular”. He prefers to hang in the background until he’s called upon, and tries as hard as he can to avoid conflict, even if it means sacrificing his dignity. [Bully: “You suck! You’re gay and I banged your mom last night!” Kaleb: “You’re right. Can I leave now?” Think a Vash The Stampede-type personality] When he loosens up, he’s generally friendly and a nice person to be around.
• Bio: Kaleb is the eldest son from a relatively average, American, nuclear family based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His father works in a steel mill and his mother stays home to watch his younger sisters. When it was discovered (fairly recently) that he had a proficiency in Cryomancy (via icy explosion of power during a fight), his parents scraped up whatever money they could in order to pull him out of his “muggle” school and send him to New York to attend the Magic Academy there.
• Appearence: Kaleb is fairly average-looking. He has short, kind of messy, brown hair and brown eyes. He has a fair complexion and his skin never seems to tan. He dresses casually, often sporting khaki cargo pants and a t-shirt that’s a little too big for him.

Ok, I do very much like this idea.

I have a question, are we locked into each choosing a different magic, or can there be more then one?

That, and what's the boy/girl ration sofar?

You can use any magic, but you have to choose a magic that's your most powerful. It can't be a magic type that's already taken, but you can make your own up. Also, there's a 2 girls:9 boys ratio.

Maybe if I'm accepted I'll change to a girl.

On second thought, I think I'm going to keep my character male.

And I'll head with a girl too. My question is do I pull in a OC from my works or create a brand new character.

Hmm...what to choose, what to choose... what to create, who will this girl be...

I'll post a signup once I figure out what I want to do. Suggestions (or suggesting me into an idea) are welcome.

What type of girl do you guys and gals all want to see?

I had thoughts of a ninja girl, an sweet girl with quite a past (complete with assassin for a dad and a mad scientist for a mother), the daughter of a mercany (cryomancy), a self-insert Disfaff Counterpart, a pryomancer girl (this is taken already Right?), or maybe a child of one of those 5 states's rulers (hidden identity, of course), A genius girl and her pryo street smart twin, or if blue wants I'll play a heel he makes or some of the teachers (said pryomancer girl could be that).

What do you want to see?

You could play some teachers if you wanted.

Magic of Choice: Magic Weapon Creation

Paint Color: Dark Red

Personality: Kind to everyone, he tries to see the good in people before the bad.

Bio: A long time resident of Rochester, he was signed up for the school a year ago. He's been studying magical weapon creation, and he can currently create Zweihander Brushes, Pistol Brushes, and Rapier Brushes.

Appearence: Slightly overweight, but with muscular arms from wielding various magical weapons. A definite contrast if there ever was one. He's frequently seen wearing a black hoodie, as well as a pair of jeans. He wears a variety of shirts underneath that change from day to day.

• Name: Fantasia Spark
• Age: 16
• Magic of Choice: Electric magic
• Paint Color: Yellow (fantasia) and purple (galaxy).
• Position: None. "special" magic tutor.
• Personality: Manic Pixie Dream Girl. She’s quite chatty and freeloading. Assumed to be kinda crazy, yet strangely insightful. Has a big lazy streak and prone to lying if it helps her. She sometimes will do things For the Lulz if it amuses her. This includes flirting with boys (and girls if she can get a reactions out of them, despite being straight).

• Bio: The eternal super pretty ultimate lighting magical girl Galactia Spark.
  ...Or really just a crazy homeless girl named Fantasia Spark.

Somehow, this strange girl managed to break into the campus and is spending time in the schoolgrounds. She quite enjoys the free food and board. She has a familiar she named “Galaxy”, after experimenting with summon magic and summoned him. As she said, she "totally fell in love with him" and "took him home", making the summoning permanent.

Fantasia also has health problems, and carries with her an inhaler to help whenever she has an health-scare. This is another reason why Galaxy is here.

Galaxy can speak, but can’t speak any human speech. Fantasia, thanks to their bond perfectly understands him. (it’s like Han Solo and Chewbacca, actually). Galaxy is talented in gravity based magic, using to slow down or slam enemies.

Galaxy can merge with Fantasia transforming into a magical girl to smite evil. (or at least that’s what she says. Galaxy isn’t a Bond Creature, she’s just whipping up a costume spell when he hides inside her body.)

Fantasia has a love for magical girl tv shows, and loves watching them any chance she gets. She says they remind her of her childhood. She’s a big Otaku, at least towards the shows of yesteryear with a growing knowledge of todayyear. She’s perky, and always likes having fun, even if she has to drag you along to do so to have fun. That fun being having an ice cream sunday with friends, experimenting with magic, or getting in heated battle.

Fantasia is no slouch in battle. Her magical talent is very high, virtually to the level of the teachers. She really doesn’t care much if she gets injured, and loves to fight. But when people are in danger she will do what all magical girls do and risk life and limb to save them.

She has no actual dorm room, but has a habit of occupying empty rooms, barging into other students rooms (aka, all the P Cs), and a secret spot in the school which is more or less her “homebase” where she keeps most of her stuff (and student disguises).

She’s usually lounging around on campus, or trying to access the senior student-labs and deeper sections of the school in which students are forbidden to get to.
Her reasons for coming to the school really is a mystery, as is everything else about her.

Appearance: A slightly dark tanned –skinned blond. She’ll don quite a few outfits, and has a few student outfits. (she also has a bikini, fanservicy clothes, and casual clothes)

Notes: Fantasia is a “special” tutor. Find her in the right place and the right time, and make her happy and she’ll be more then willing to teach you her magic (and if you bring her the right spellbooks, she will help you learn other arcane magic).
She’s also the outside man for the school. If you want something from outside the campus she’ll go snatch it for you, be a cheeseburger or a electronic for a price (or if it helps her gets what she wants).

• Name: Nyro Ignitos
• Age: 17
• Magic of Choice: Pryomancy her skill may actually be with telekentic magic.
• Paint Color: Red
• Personality: Street Smart. A bit of a rebel. She’s a tad rough around the edges but deep inside a very nice person. Has a criminal record, mostly for theft, can think very fast on her feet and has a way of speaking to people. She’s Cynical, but believes deep down there’s good in the world. Chaotic Good. Is possibly bisexual
• Appearance: She has short red hair, pretty blue eyes, and looks identical to Amber if it wasn’t for her choice in clothing.
• Magic: Nyro is gifted in pryomancy.
• Notes: (A healthy) Pyromaniac. She enjoys seeing fire. Has some sticky fingers when needed. In battle when not using her pryomancy she’s a Knife Nut, complete with managing to sneak in a small knife, a switchblade, and a large bowie hunting knife.
  (Said Hunting knife is actually her casting tool. Getting Amber to buy it for her (a christmas gift), she bought a hunting knife/wand.)

• Name: Amber Ignitos
• Age: 17
• Magic of Choice: Aquamancy (water magic)
• Paint Color: Gold, with blue lines in it.
• Personality: Book Smart and naïve. She’s easy to talk to and friendly, soft. Is learning to put her foot down more thanks to her twin sister, especially with her as a teacher now. Her curiosity gets the best of her sometimes, and can descend into mad scientist territory if she really gets going and “wants to know” about something. Squeaky clean when it comes to the law. Lawful Good
• Appearance: She has short red hair, pretty amber eyes, and looks identical to Nyro if it wasn’t for her choice in clothing.
• Profession: First Teacher science/math teacher
• Magic: Amber herself isn’t that talented in magic, definitly the weakest of the teachers, and can be beaten even by a first year novice student. She's capable in water magic, and not much else. But Amber backs it up with THE POWER OF SCIENCE and her intellect her to level the playing field.

• Ignitos twins Bio: Both girls are twins, and in recent years have lived together and along under the same roof. They lived together with a single mother until her death a few years ago, and since then Amber’s high intelligence has helped provide for the two. Amber has just finished getting her doctorate, and has successfully been hired by the academy to teach non-magical classes in the school. Amber has convinced the school to grant Nyro a scholarship to the school, using her sister’s gift for pyromancy as the means to get her here.

Hopefully, these girls are good enough foils to eachother.
