The Suffering. It's not as slick and well-designed as Mass Effect 2, but it's a lot better-written, and it's one of only two games that I think did a Karma Meter well.
That's Feo . . . He's a disgusting, mysoginistic, paedophilic asshat who moonlights as a shitty writer—Something AwfulDragon Quest 1, 3, or 4.
If someone wants to accuse us of eating coconut shells, then that's their business. We know what we're doing. - Achaan ChahGrand Theft Auto: San Andreas hands down.
Terminator 2.
Ugh, that's so hard.
Emotionally and in terms of story? Silent Hill 2.
In terms of gameplay and level design? Castlevainia Symphony Of The Night. Resplendent levels like the Royal Chapel and Olrox's Room? You can't compare anything to that in Castlevainia or anywhere else.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyThe Nameless Mod.
Mods count right?
No way I'm going to answer that with a straight face.
There's Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Melee... There's Super Mario 64... There's Star Fox 64... Also Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes, Metroid Prime, maybe Wind Waker...
Well, I'd probably go for Super Mario Galaxy... Or 2. I can't make up my mind on even that.
(and also, honorable mention for Gran Turismo 5, I've playing it fairly regularly for over an year, I think no other game has done that for me)

No regret shall pass over the threshold!1) Tie between both Baten Kaitos games
2) Skies Of Arcadia: Legends
...yeah. Cult classic RPGs. :P
Mind you, these are personal favorites. If I was asked what the best games I've played were, I wouldn't be able to answer.

Oh, NEO's list just reminded me. If I could only pick one game, it's most likely Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater: Subsistence.

Pokemon Gold Version. Its the first game i ever beat, and i could never get tired of it. Portal 2, Arkham City, Skyward Sword, and Links Awakening are better, but it will be years before I would consider replaying them.
Starcraft: Brood War

Lego Racers 2.
Because when you have beautiful childhood memories, quality isn't as important.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.Absolute? Star Control II.
Almost absolute? System Shock 2 and Deus Ex.
Honorable mentions? Rocket Jockey and Magic Carpet.
Gonna agree with a couple others and say The World Ends With You, which is tied with Team Fortress 2.
TWEWY gets my vote for story, while TF 2 gets my vote for gameplay.
Absolute number one: Monster hunter tri
Top 4: Demon's Souls, Mass effect, Dark Souls, Minecraft.
There is no other games I'd invested nearly as much time in. Not in order.
Skryim. Any game that's led me to sink over 300 hours into it and that still surprises me all the time wins my top slot.
Runners up: Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Fallout and Persona 4.

SMT:Nocturne
oh yeah, i like it so much i even used the caps lock for once.
a distant second is tales of symphonia, i guess.
Classic:Jazz Jackrabbit
Modern: Kingdom Hearts
I'm going to go for the top 5, in no particular order:
Cave Story
Tales Of Vesperia
Kirby 64
Portal 2
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
With honorable mentions for Golden Sun for nostalgia and obligatory Tales of Legendia for music.
And to say I was nervous... it wouldn't be quite enough.
...Argh. Ever? Really, really hard.
Probably Chrono Trigger. That or Baldur's Gate 2.
