Does anyone have particular house rules that they've used in their games, particularly Requiem? When I was running it, my group adopted a few modifications that we felt made the game run better. For example:
Rolling for Predator's Taint was very rare, mainly used if they had a surprise encounter. Meeting new Kindred at Elysium or in another peaceful environment didn't require a roll.
Feeding: Describe how you're going to feed and I'll give you a die roll (breaking into a house, find a bum in an alley, seduce a bar patron, etc.) The amount of successes you get is the amount of blood you can safely extract from one person without getting noticed. Most of the time you're limited to one feeding attempt per night. Any more than that and you're cutting into storytime.
Die Rolling: Instead of the "10 again" rule, we counted 10s as 2 successes with no re-rolls. In the case of the Nosferatu and Gangrel weaknesses, a 1 counted as -1.
After a while, we decided to switch the clan disciplines of Vigor and Resilience between the Nosferatu and Gangrel, so Gangrel get Vigor and Nosferatu get Resilience as in-clan disciplines. It seemed more logical that it should be that way.
We also considered changing how damage works against Kindred. Instead of ballistic damage being Bashing and slashing/piercing being Lethal, I thought it should be the reverse. Gunshot wounds can tear up even a reanimated dead body, but Vampires don't need to bleed, and their organs (other than the heart and brain) don't really work.
The exception would be called shots to the head and heart. Gunshots to the head or heart would do Aggravated damage, while slashing the head or piercing the heart would do Lethal damage. A sniper with a .50 cal rifle should be able to blow a Vampire's head to smithereens.

What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly.Seriously, does anybody have any ideas on how to run a crossover chronicle with Vampire the Masquerade and Mage the Ascension with focus on the Euthanatos and Tzimice?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Easy,, euthanatos are death mage who try to clean the wheel of life, Tzimice no only are undead but they alter life itself, that should rust euthanatos jimmies enought to want them perma dead
Also, I decide to check many words use by whit wolf to see how well they land, first by terms vohzd and szlachta, the first is term for leader used in hideous monster and the other is term for polonian nobility used in ghould guardians....
what the fuck white wolf?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"WW/OP rely heavily on the Rule of Cool over literal accuracy.
For example, remember that over in another of their settings, "rakshasa" (a malignant Indian demon) has been shortened to "raksha" and used to describe the fae. And even then, "fae" means "soulless vortex of chaotic energy that has nailed together a mind and body from randomly selected genre tropes, and gone out to explore".
I think the idea is that the mythology and religions are based on not-quite-accurate glimpses of the real supernatural, so names and terms are sort of co-opted and mangled.
I can get with supernatural name, but the two I just mention are titles that exist, I mean Vozh should be what Ghoul call their Tzimice Superior or the leader of a pack, instead of huge raving monster
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"It could be a euphemism. I mean, the ancient Greeks used to refer to the Erinyes/Furies as "Eumenides", which means "the Kindly Ones", just to avoid attracting their attention.

Well I check some other names to see how that work:
Hasmed: the protagonist of greg stolze trilogy(I recomend hightly is awsome) in the biblical lore is angel of anhiquilation, here is a protector....but I actually get away since they became agresive for the rebelion, aparenly he was the angel to touch the last trumpeht to start apocalispe....mmmmm
Gaviel: another angel of fire and ex friend of Hasmed, I coudnt fine anything except that it was angel in some obsure grimore, every other time google thought I was saying Gabriel
Vondatu: angel of destruction in novel, I found...nothing just a bunch of german pages, damn it
Avitu: the main villian such to speak and...I find nothing, only one martyr in africa and the name of roman emperor
Sabriel: one of the name chararter and angel of seas, I just found a khazar ruler turn to judaism and sabrael mencion barely
Rabbadun: and angel of prophecy....yet, nothing again
Vejovis: a storm angel who fight Sabriel and everyone else in flashbacks, Aparenly is a roman god, this isnt so surprising as demon implies a lot of angel pass as pagan gods, what I find interstng is that Vejovis is thought as god healing....but in other source he is consider a storm god which is cleaver
Usiel: a good of death in white wolf, in biblical lore is show as evil angel and in other as good one which fit him well since is textbook definition of a knight templar
And so far that is all, only 3 chararter reference something else....not bad I guess?
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"So, for my crazy person project with a friend of mine... I'm interested in continuing it but the project's a little too big for one person alone. I want very much to at least get it to a completable state but for that, I'm going to need new collaborators.
I present to you, a Storyteller version of Megami Tensei. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1POibJ2MHtyEDlOk0XmcwIwtk5h1CM0NYbDh4NQI7arY/edit
There's a *lot* to be polished and done, especially with numbers which I am not good at. Unfortunately, my original collaborator is being eaten by uni.
What do folks think about what's here?
Stuck inside a tower, come and find me.SSSSSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOO...everybody, what was your favorite "End Time" scenarios for the Old World of Darkness like Demon: The Fallen's "Twilight of the Gods"? (I.E Where the Earthbound unite to attack the Fallen and the world gets wrecked.)
I.E. When I mean "End Time event", I meant a scenario in one of the "End Time" books like Mage: The Ascension's "A Whimper, Not a Bang".

Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Question
Years ago, like probably 2002, a GM said that wod had confirmed that fire magic beats water magic.
Does anybody know what he meant? It's become relevant.
Does anyone have any good ideas for how to torture an oWoD vampire? The vampire doing it isn't interested in getting information, he's just really pissed. The subject's Final Death eventually isn't an issue, in fact it's the eventual goal, but the fact that it's another vampire makes using any of the banes trickier.
Going into Rochseck [which I just totally mangled the spelling of, I'm sure] because you set your victim on fire is kind of counterproductive...
Well, he still feels pain, right? Ordinary torture should do the job. Ever heard about that Tzimice elder and how he made a Gangrel Archon talk with a disposable razor blade, three needles, a pack of Holiday Inn matches, a rubber tube and a gallon of Clorox?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I suppose I could just go with that. And since the victim doesn't have to be functional on any level afterwords, the guy could pull out all the stops. There's also always staking him to wind up partially in the sunlight and moving him a little further out each day.
Torture her to torpor. Dump blood on her. Torture her to torpor. Dump blood on her.
Do that again and again and again.
That's what I figured. We were trying to create an Ironic Hell for each of the characters endgames.
This character is a Malk who (ironically enough) fears loosing his mind above all else, so the idea ooc is to invoke Being Tortured Makes You Crazy, and he's already pissed off several Giovanni in the backstory, so it's not much of a stretch for something like that to happen
SSSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOO...what's your favorite part of Demon: The Descent, everybody?
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.Besides not being Vampire (Which is absolutely the thing I like most about them), I liked how demons have both exploit-style powers and their proper demon forms. Which are awesome.
Me and my friend's collaborative webcomic: Forged MenI'm surprised that Princess: The Hopeful's article has only two trope example entries that ever mention the Sworn, and even then only one of them can be said pertains to them directly (Magical Girlfriend, which technically describes the Player Characters' relations to them). I'd like to remedy this, but I have no idea what tropes apply to them besides Sidekick, so any help with this will be appreciated.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Maybe I should have created a new thread in the appropriate place, but there isn't enough info yet.
You wouldn't assume they'd go with Forsaken if you'd heard what the guys who own Paradox think of CofD.

Oh? Do tell us what they think, because that's news to me.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Oh? Do tell, I'm curious
Well, I hope this one actually gets released unlike that last game.
Trans rights are human rights. TV Tropes is not a place for bigotry, cruelty, or dickishness, no matter who or their position.I can't find the quote now but basically they don't give a shit about it. They're content to let the writers keep pumping it out but they're never going to do anything with it themselves.
The 2nd edition of Promethean: The Created is now available.
