Also, his madness was due to an action of a goddess, not Type Moon, so no, he's not Arcueid's way of trolling people. Besides, it would've been Brunestud himself, not Arcueid, since Arcueid ain't old enough to have been around in the first century, IIRC.

And especially Ciel, since they both have blue hair. Arcueid will put Caligula in a dress and glasses and will make him go around destroying things while claiming he's doing it for Shiki.

On the other hand, convincing him to do that should not be very difficult. Just show him Saber, he'll probably confuse her with Nero (poor Saber gets stuck with all the crazies confusing her for other people) and do whatever you want him to do.

He's insane both with and without Mad Enhancement, so you can probably convince him to go around in a dress pretending to be Ciel suffering from 'Roid Rage.

So I just finally devised a way to circumvent the issues that stood between me and accessing Kalmia's non-H doujinshi Alexandrite.

... The Grail War as a battle between seven doujin artists? With the Servants as said artists' assistants? And Saber wielding an invisible pen??? WTF?!

Okay, I'm intrigued.

And that's just the short-story prologue. The main story is about Rin facing the crisis of having been too reckless with her jewel usage during the Grail War. Her solution? Why, go Lara Crofting on a deserted island where apparently the Tohsaka family had been using to stash away their most prized magecraft research and artifacts, including a supposed collection of rare jewels. And she kidnaps persuades Shirou to act as her bodyguard as well as do everything assist with the "heavy lifting". Hilarity Ensues.

In the Nasuverse? Pretty much all old men who are anything in the magical community won't know the first thing about Lara Croft, to start with.

Actually, considering they'd be Magi, it's entirely likely that they would prefer that she go Lara Crofting rather than having sex with her.

Anyway, so, I'm doing Holy War of the Eight Lilies right now, and what it is is basically a Holy Grail War in which every servant summoned is in 'Lily' form, following the trend set by Saber Lily and Medea Lily.

The premise is simple:

Zelretch went to the past and visited himself, using the Kaleidoscope to give himself knowledge of the future and, more importantly, of Magical Girls, so that he could create the Kaleidostick which he would then give to another universe's version of himself so he could give it to Rin (and no, the idea of doing this directly never crossed his mind, this is Zelretch, he figured this way it'd result in more entertaining nonsense happening than it would otherwise). However, this version of Zelretch decided to troll himself and not only did he keep the Kaleidostick for himself, but he also decided to change the Holy Grail War in the future, in particular, the Holy Grail War that Rin would participate in (because he knows she's the one who'll eventually inherit the Kaleidoscope).

Instead of making it a war about a wish that summons seven heroes to fight amongst each other... he decided to make it closer to a Magical Girl Contest, of a sort. All of the seven servants summoned are closer to Magical Girl Warriors than to the heroes they're supposed to be, and they fight in non-lethal battles. Each master will receive an orange sphere with their servant's class' symbol on it, and when all seven of those are gathered, the Grail will appear to grant a wish. Yes, they're a shameless ripoff of the Dragon Balls.

Anyway, of course, because this was intentionally designed by Zelretch to function like a magical girl anime, naturally they come together to fight a bigger bad, and oh, look, there's this Angra Mainyu thing which just so happens to be an ideal Big Bad for them to join forces and fight together...

So... any ideas?

I already have Saber Lily and Medea Lily. EMIYA Lily is also pretty much set in stone, but the other four servants are up for grabs. Oh, and the reason why it's called 'of the Eight Lilies' instead of seven is because Zelretch figured out that it'd be pretty hard to get this to go the way he wanted so he reprogrammed the emergency protocol that we're shown in Apocrypha so that it instead immediately summons Ruler Lily who is imparted with the knowledge of her purpose: That is, to make damn sure that the fights remain non-lethal, to keep the secrecy and to keep normal humans out of harm's way. I'm debating having her be Jeanne or the anthropomorphic representation of the concept of a Magical Girl (who looks suspiciously like Sailor Moon).

I bring up the 'Sociopathic Magi Try To Cheat/Kill/Assassinate' point. That said...

• Berserker Lily: Tamamo Cat works?
• Assassin Lily: the 'Unknown Hassan' prototype idea?
• Lancer Lily: Scathach? Alternately, Nanoha.
• Rider Lily: Loli version of Rider.

Random idea: Ruler is the 'idea of a Magical Girl', similar to Nursery Rhyme, and thus changes depending on which Class faces her. to Lancershe looks suspiciously like Nanoha, to Berserker, she looks like Hibiki from Symphogear, to Archer she resembles Akazukin Chacha's princess mode, etc.

If we're doing crossovers, Lancer Lily has to be Nanoha.

For Assassin Lily, you could use Assassin of Black/Loli!Jack the Ripper. Alternatively, you could use Semiramis.

Alternatively, for Archer, she could look like Madoka Kaname. MadoMagi spoilers: Possibly Madokami.

For the record, since this is literally engineered by Zelretch to become a Magical Girl Warrior anime expy, the servants actually conform to the idea of your standard party.

So they'd be a Five-Man Band + The Sixth Ranger and the Token Evil Teammate, with Ruler serving as the Big Good.

We've got Saber Lily being the designated Leader, EMIYA Lily is the designated Lancer(though she's still Archer), Medea Lily being The Smart Guy of the party, whoever ends up a berserker being The Big Guy, Rider's The Chick, Lancer's The Sixth Ranger and Assassin's the Token Evil Teammate (who, by the way, switches sides from Angra Mainyu's after Angra Mainyu proves to be a terrible ally).

Servants, yes. There's no rule that says Masters can't be evil, abusive dicks though.

I'd suggest Cutey Honey, but the Saber spot is already taken.

Although, Devilman Lady could kinda-sorta-almost work for a Dark Is Not Evil/Dark Magical Girl Berserker Lily....

Silene could make for a decent Assassin Lily, IANCE, and she even has characterization room to follow that Heel–Face Turn thing you mentioned.

Of course, this fic could easily result in two wholly different versions - the in-house version, and the crossover version. I have plenty of servants to choose from either way.

Can't really run both at once. Anyone willing to take the other version? I'm willing to be a sounding board for ideas- actually, running parallel versions of the same fic with someone sounds kinda fun. Anyone up for it?

Part of me really wants to take you up on that since that would be insane but I'm not sure if I could pull it off. My knowledge of Magical Girl anime is too low to effectively pull off the crossover one.

Oh, dammit. Now you've got me thinking about what I'd do if I ran the in-house version. Hypothetically, what are talking about with the Lily Servants? Would we use them as portrayed in GO as applicable or can we just use a version that's suitable to our needs?
