This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Bare-Fisted Monk: Yeah, got no clue what these terms mean. Otherwise, I'd have to know whether it's a monk-only trope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanBare-Fisted Monk: I suggest the quote from the JLU cartoon.
Captain Boomerang (about Wildcat): This one don't need no weapons.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Muse Abuse has two quotes, which should stay?
New theme music also a boxLook Behind You: Current is... okay. Not terribly indicative of anything (since the trope is relatively simple), and not really funny (without context).
Possible example from Red vs. Blue:
- Sarge:(from a distance) Hey Caboose! You hear something behind you!
- Caboose: I do? I wonder what's causing it. turns around

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.- Look Behind You: The trope isn't just about the phrase - I prefer the The Stainless Steel Rat on the quote page.
- Muse Abuse: I have a hard time to choose between any as they all sound metaphorical to me.
Survivor has two quotes. I'd say stick with the second one, the series tagline.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Survivor: Aye, the series tagline is the more pertinent material.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanDefinitely. Move the King one to quotes, though. It's gold.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.Bare-Fisted Monk: Despite the name, it's not exclusive to monks, so I think I prefer the "This one don't need no weapons." quote.
Muse Abuse: I think I prefer the Philip Marlowe quote.
Look Behind You: Agree with Septimus on the Stainless Steel Rat quote.
My issue with the Justice League quote is that... well, it's Justice League. "Doesn't need weapons" doesn't mean Bare-Fisted Monk when you've got the likes of Superman, Martian Manhunter, or The Flash who definitely aren't examples of Bare-Fisted Monk but, well, don't need weapons.
Also, I can't remember for certain but I'm fairly certain that he's Not An Example. I think Rick used guns in the episode he was in; he just didn't carry one. I know the comic book version did.

Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Not entirely sure this is the right place, but it's related to a page quote, so I'm putting it here. Anyway, on the Burn the Witch! page, the attribution for the quote was changed from "Exodus 22:18 ..." to "The Book of Exodus 22:18 ...". Now, I can kind of understand the pothole to Book of Exodus, as that is, for reasons I don't understand, the page name (even though Exodus is a redirect), but I don't agree with changing the visible attribution. I have never seen Exodus referred as "The Book of Exodus" when referencing a Bible verse, so it just looks awkwardly wrong to me.
So, in short, do people agree with changing it back to the standard "Exodus"?

I do. "The Book of Exodus" works for sorting and filing purposes, but it looks wrong. Switch back to Exodus.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettHeroes Prefer Swords currently has the following quote: "I'm pretty sure I'll be the main character. The people with swords usually are."
To me, that's a quite poor one. It breaks the fourth wall and it's not particularly heroic.
The one quote I'd really like is this one: "You only have six cartridges, but I have only my sword! Follow me!" from the 1961 biopic La Fayette. It is heroic and it demonstrates the trope perfectly.
Heroes Prefer Swords: Maybe a slight uptick, although none of the issues of the current seem bad for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI prefer the current for Heroes Prefer Swords.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them.American Football has two quotes. They're pretty darn similar, IMO, so I'd be fine with either.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.American Football: These are both looong...
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'd call them mid-length, personally.
My alignment is Chaotic Cute.Heroes Prefer Swords: Both the current and the suggested replacement come across as 'meh' to me. But I don't see anything on the quotes page that works, either. (And I'm not sure one of them really fits, but that's another matter.)
With the current choices, though, I'd say go with the suggested replacement. It works better in context.
American Football: Those are both very long for a page quote. The first is a summary of the game, the other is comparing the game to something else, and not making a whole lot of sense to me. I think they could both go.
___
Jackass Genie's quote is fairly long, and for some other reason I can't put my finger on it bugs the heck out of me. Not sure which of the other quotes is best for replacing it, though.

Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry PratchettTripod Terror's page quote doesn't say anything about the "terror" part of the trope name. The only entry on the quote page, Wells' description of the tripods from the original The War of the Worlds, is much more descriptive of both "tripod" and "terror", but is kinda long for a page quote.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpCould use more opinions on post 2137, given that it's on the verge of an edit war.
Heroes Prefer Swords: I prefer the current quote over the suggested one, as the current one much more clearly ties the hero status to the having-a-sword aspect.
American Football: Agree that neither quote is particularly good for a page quote. They could both be moved to a Quotes/ page.
Jackass Genie: I suspect the issue might be that it's rather taking potshots at real people. I think the following one from the quotes page might be best as a replacement:
Police Officer: Freeze!
The Djinn: Did I hear you say freeze?
Police Officer: ...Yeah... yeah! You're goddamn right I said freeze!
The Djinn: Done. (freezes the officer solid)
— Wishmaster 2: Evil Never Dies
Tripod Terror: I agree that the current quote lacks "terror" and the other quote is rather too long. Don't have any replacement suggestions, though.
Burn the Witch!: Hmmm, I remember that the work name in a quote does get italicized.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanOnly if it's not sacred literature. And that's not what the question was.
@Nocturna: That's it ! Thank you. And I think your suggested quote for Jackass Genie will work nicely.
Coming back to where you started is not the same as never leaving. -Terry Pratchett
Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Bare-Fisted Monk: The quote is 100% reliant on potholes (unless you know what genjutsi, ninjutsu, and taijutsu mean in this context). Not to mention the potholes don't even make sense (by definition you can't be trained in Good Old Fisticuffs).
->"I could see that Lee had no aptitude for Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, so we skipped them and focused all of his time and energy into developing his Taijutsu. That way we turned his disadvantage into a blessing. Now he doesn't need those other things to win because he's transformed himself into the world's greatest Taijutsu specialist." —> — Might Guy talking about Rock Lee, Naruto
The Simpsons or Eight Bit Theater quotes from the quote page both seem good:
- These are the famous Xiaolin temple monks. They pursue spiritual peace though mastery of bare fisted murder.
— Madam Wu, The Simpsons, "Goo Goo Gai Pan"- Thief: I thought that's what martial artists did. You forsake melee weapons and constantly strive to transform your own body into the perfect weapon. This process often involves a training regime meant to unlock nigh mystical powers within the practioner.
- Black Belt: Well now that's certainly an interesting approach. Back at my dojo, they just taught us to beat our opponents senseless.
— 8-Bit TheaterI prefer the Eight Bit Theater quote, since the first can be confused with All Monks Know Kung-Fu, which I have seen this trope misused as in the past.
