Give me cute or give me...something?Oh, I didn't know that. (I don't browse the forum thread listings much.) Thanks!
GOG.com has already started its winter sale! http://www.gog.com/
And that means pretty much everything is 50% off. And remember, everything's DRM-free. That means:
- La Mulana for US$7.49
- Duke Nukem 1 (all 3 episodes) and 2 (all 4 episodes) for US$2.99
- and from now until tomorrow morning, Duke Nukem 3 D is free! (as in grab it now and keep it forever) (thanks to various people who've pointed this out)
- there are some exceptions to the 50% off rule; for example, Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams is only 40% off.
If you love the smell of freshly burned graphics cards in the morning, then this is for you:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/108800/?snr=1_7_suggest__13
Crysis 2 Maximum Edition for six pounds twenty four pence (in the UK until Monday 17th December - should be available in the Steam Store back in the World as well)
The only two things I'm immediately interested in on this are Rico A Tale Of Two Brothers and Worms Reloaded.
- Should I be interested in anything else?
- If I'm only interested in these two games, do they justify a price of $5?
^ Eschalon is good (although IMO the skill training is a bit messed up), and Earth 2160 is continuation of Earth 2150, and I rather like the original...
Give me cute or give me...something?What are they about?
Edit: Wait, never mind, the sale is over. Though I'm still curious what they're about.

If, unlike me, you don't already own The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings (read didn't buy it already for a reasonably large amount of money), it is on Gog right now for less than 12 dollars.
Alas, just yesterday, you may have missed the part where it went on sale for $7.49. But $12 is still a very good price for an amazing game.

8 games for under twenty dollars.
That one was instant buy for me. I've been wanting to play Police Quest for a while.
I will say, if you're a fan of AdventureGames and/or RPGs, the Quest For Glory series is worth it by itself. I like IV, the best, if it weren't for the bugs and runtime errors, it would be no contest.

Video Game Census. Please contribute.XIII will be taken off GOG by the end of the year. It's half off as of this writing, so now may be your last chance of getting it!
I now go by Graf von Tirol. That Borderlands 2 deal doesn't work in the UK. Still 29 pounds 99 pence for the game.
I don't know if this is exactly a deal but looks interesting enough. Basically, think of Steam Gifts but you need to have $50 or more in game value in your Steam account, you receive an initial number of points based on your games library value upon joining and you can only get more points by creating giveaways. Here is the FAQ for anyone interested.
What you're describing sounds like an Indie Gala imitation of Steam Gifts.
It is exactly that.
