Eyes of Gold/Amber Eyes would be straightforward: Golden Eyes Are Supernatural. Amber Eyes is simply a redirect to Eyes of Gold.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Fixed that. The redirect and main name were on two separate indices.
Serious Grey Eyes? The trope page lists a bunch of tropes so this could be tricky to name. Eyes Of Silver would be splittable as a trope about what was "the height of beauty" some centuries ago.
Brown Eyes is again two things, Humanity Is Brown Eyed and Down To Earth Brown Eyes.
Mysterious Purple Eyes? Exotic Green Eyes or Magical Green Eyes?

I thought the connected personality traits to the eyes were more of guidelines or just side things in an "are often" type manner. (just the impossible eye colors though or works where it is for sure a choice to give them that color.)We were discussing something similar this in the shy blue haired girl thread going the entirely other direction.

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!I'd suggest Plain Brown Eyes for one of those. Or Earthly Brown Eyes for the second.
Fight smart, not fair."People who have blue eyes" isn't a trope. Neither is "People have blue eyes".
"pale watery blue eyes usually indicate a villain or a bad guy" is a trope.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Villainous Pale Blue Eyes? Or Icy Blue?
I like Icy Blue Eyes. I also don't think we should be afraid to split these tropes into different tropes. The current lumping of tropes that only have colour in common is contributing to their decay. There's a different between blue eyes being cold and blue eyes representing water after all.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI like Icy Blue Eyes as well.
Fight smart, not fair.and Blue Eyes Of Innocence or Blue Eyes Of Purity for the "innocent" or "pure" version of blue eyes.
Or Innocent Blue Eyes. The Of phrasing is awkward and archaic.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickSplitting them seems the best idea. Icy Blue Eyes has very little crossover with Creepy Blue Eyes (the watery, "you should blink more than you do" kind of eyes). Obviously I suck at naming, but that's why we have this thread.
And Eyes of Gold isn't working on its own. I looked over the wicks, and most of them were X Just X.
It would be good to go through each of those pages and identify how they should be split, then come up with names for each.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.I'm with Iron Eye. Let's go page by page and identify the tropes listed and then split them into those tropes. I do think some of the tropes can be merged back into conglomerate tropes though. For example, brown eyes for earth powers and blue eyes for water powers could probably stand to be one large trope called Elemental Eye Colours.
Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickI'm making a list right now, to be posted in maybe 15 mins.
I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.I think Elemental Physical Theme or something would be better. So we could lump in stuff like hair color too and other stuff.
Fight smart, not fair.Isn't there a page for physical traits that relate to superpowers? Like a redhead having fire powers, or someone of stocky build having rock powers?
List!
- Black: Two variants (#3 seems to be a random observation by the page author and isn't supported in the examples, while #4 is noted a few times as a general trend but gets few concrete examples)
- Sinister, gritty, or mysterious
- Sorrowful
- Brown: Four variants
- Trustworthy and stable—"down to earth"
- Mysterious and sensual (Dark Brown)
- Earth Powers
- Normal (a mix of "the one guy with brown eyes doesn't have any powers" and "non-Caucausians with other eye colors are special")
- Gold: One variant
- Supernatural, often animalisitic
- Gray: Five, though one is more of a general appearance trope that happens to include gray eyes
- Prophetic (often blind)
- Cold, unapproachable, and valuing ideas over people
- Innocence (Forgotten Trope)
- Beauty (when linked with rosy cheeks and golden hair; Forgotten Trope)
- Dangerously competent and cold
- Green: Four variants, though they don't all get much support in the examples
- Nature, particularly possessing of innate magic
- Spitfire and untrustworthy
- Striking and sexy (often overlapping with Fiery Redhead to get Green-Eyed Redhead)
- Cat-like
- Purple: one variant
- Special, mysterious, and badass
- Hazel: Three variants, two of which are tropable
- Mundanes with the potential to be something more (linking to the "normal" part of Brown Eyes)
- Mercurial but reliable
- Counting as Eyes of Gold
- Blue: Seven variants
- Innocence (The replacement for Innocent Gray Eyes)
- Piercing and icy
- Unsettling
- Demonic / Evil Eye
- Water Powers
- Eerie/sophisticated (but not mysterious) wizard
- Witch (though this is apparently too rare to trope)
- Blue-green (from Blue Eyes): Two variants
- Dreamy
- Heroic and independent (the former from Blue and the latter from Green)

I'm bad, and that's good. I will never be good, and that's not bad. There's no one I'd rather be than me.I think there is. Check on Personality Powers to see if it's got a related trope.
Fight smart, not fair.Excellent and clear summary.
The first variant of gray seems to be either Prophet Eyes or a variant thereof.
I can't find it anywhere. I don't think we have it. Or rather, we have it but it's fragmented over all the hair and eyecolour tropes.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. DickRed Eyes, Take Warning, as well as Kind Red Eyes too. ([1]◊ this would be both...)
EDIT: where did Kind Red Eyes go?

Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!
Crown Description:
Eyes Of Gold was voted to be renamed 12 to 0.
All the eye color tropes that are named "X Eyes" are being misused as "this character has X color eyes." However, the tropes are about the implications of the eye colors, not merely having them. Renaming the tropes to be more like Black Eyes of Evil and Red Eyes, Take Warning would go a long way towards fixing misuse. Of course, cleanup would still be necessary, but that will require people familiar with the works in question, since like a lot of personal appearance tropes most of the examples are X Just X.
Here are the ones that need renaming:
