I found the Tvtropes page of Accel World days ago and was editing it since. I would very much like to know who was the one who created the first entries in it.

Some troper named "A.D.World", according to the edit history. I've never seen that person post here, but a PM would probably work if you wanted to reach them.

btw: chapter 7 just came out. also the reason I wanted to talk about this manga now.

Personaly, I like how it seems to be playing so may tropes strait while, at the same time, providing different than normal reasons for why they are being used. Why does a person fall in Love at First Sight? NOT because of the crush's looks. What does the main character of a shonen fighing manga look like? Gonk is not the usual answer. And I'm sure that I could think of a number more.

I do really like this manga, it is near the top of my list of manga I would love to see get an anime.

On the new chapter Things definitely look interesting and the main guy's new wings look very cool.

Oh? Out of curiosity, how do you feel about Re:BIRTH –The Lunatic Taker–? (link) Because that is another one that I like but have never heard mentioned on the forum.

Ugh... Another manwah? As much as I like the premise, I'm a but disappointed how manwah stories turn out recently: Freezing, Kuro Kami and Sekirei. I just dropped the last two recently and I don't think I'd try to pick up another one for now.

As much as I enjoy their premises, Kuro Kami and Freezing seemed to have a bit of a fanservice fixation. Made it rather difficult to take their otherwise dramatic stories seriously. Please tell me this has changed, Belian?

Started reading this. Looks good so far, and I can catch up quick. Why is it though that people named Araya tend to be giant jackasses?

Note to self: Freezing, Aflame Inferno, Kuro Kami, Onihime VS, AND Re:BIRTH –The Lunatic Taker– all have the same author, but mostly different artists. That explains why they are all so similar, now that I think about it. Also why they come out monthly if not longer.

To answer your question, all of the above have Fanservice fixations, though I would put Kuro Kami lowest on that list. I would also argue that that should not stop you from at least trying them because another thing they all have in common is relatively unique settings. IMO the worst part about them is that they have great arcs, but the transitions between the arcs don't keep the plot moving all that well. I don't think the author can keep up with them all and does not have a clear idea where most of the stories are going.

You did, but A.D.World did not. In fact, that person obviously did not even try.

EDIT: also, you can make Wiki Words without using the "{{ }}" markup by removing the spaces. Still have to use them for one-word Wiki Words.

Changed the description for Accel World. Take a look and feel free to make changes.

I don't think he is a Fragile Speedster or Glass Cannon. He can take a basic beating without dieing even if speed is his main stat. Unlucky Everydude should be fine, but I'm not sure about Self-Deprecation.

By the way, re-reading the series made me realize that there was quite a bit of Foreshadowing for him gaining wings. Not to mention his name: Silver Crow.

I would not even call him an assassin. He is just taking advantage of the situation, not someone sent after her with a chance of winning.

But, yes, I expect we will see more people after her eventually. Depends on if he spills the beans about her right now or not. I suspect that, as a lvl 4 losing to a lvl 1 while already running a little low on points, he might run out of points after the fight.

And don't tell me he won't lose. With the way he has been set up, I don't see how he could be allowed to win.

Ok so I just read this series today, and it is utterly fantastic. I'm not so sure it will be a hit though. I hope it will, but I can see why it won't looking at Manga Foxs forum topics which were almost all, "I don't like the series because the main character is ugly".

So his friend more or less fell because he was insecure about his girlfriend wasn't he? That's a realistic reason for a person to act like the way he does.

Heroic Self-Deprecation fits better because he does not joke about his self hatred. He is really serious about it. Also It's All My Fault for the his senpai's current condition.

Well, on Tenmanga it is doing alright. There have not been any forum posts, but it is on page 4 out of 13 (listed by popularity) of the A titles. Also, the latest chapter has ~2150 views. For comparison, the latest chapter of Noblesse (ranked #7 on the site and released latter the same day) is at ~6500. So yeah, it is FAR from being popular, but apparently it is known.

Unfortunately, there is an almost 50% drop in the number of views from the first chapter to the second. I understand that a title should grab you from the first chapter, but you don't even get to see what the Burst Link program does until a little ways into the second chapter. And don't find out about the fighting game until end of the second -start of the third.

The Intro's a little too long... But meh! At least the page is longer....

Assassins? More like angsty teens who are the equivalent to this world's game addicts. Also I added Power Gives You Wings, since Hauyuki just got some.

Plus its a Bi-Monthly release. If it was a monthly schedule then I could see it being popular, but every 2 months just kills it.

Is what Snow Black did in the first couple chapters a Wounded Gazelle Gambit?

Would Haruyuki count as Driven to Suicide at the start of the series? He does think several times that he wishes he was dead or that he would rather die.

I have been adding tropes to the page, and while doing so I reread the series and now we have around 60 tropes up. Which are all the ones I can think of. I'm sure there are more, but I'm not familiar with every trope.

I know that I have seen what Chiyuri is doing in the top panel as a trope before, but for the life of me I can't remember what's called or how to find it.

Is there a trope for driving up a wall?

No, they're all ok except Haruyuki being driven to suicide. He didn't do it anyway and he looks like afraid of death too.
