Where would we be able to view the old troper tales?
He who fights bronies should see to itthat he himself does not become a brony. And if you gaze for long into an abyss, Pinkie Pie gazes AlsoYes, they will not be moved, just locked,
The archive piece is not installed yet. It will be like the archived discussion pages.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyWould it be OK if I eliminated some negative post under a slightly positive one on a mostly positive page? Would that be considered natter if all it does is criticize something related to the original post, even if it does provide an example of a trope?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyFew notes:
1: Right now the poster is called "FastEddie". Shouldn't spaces be added? (And any custom-titled names be used?)
2: I understand and agree with the reasons for having large poster names, but also think it should still be a touch smaller. It seems rather in-your-face about it, right now.
3: If possible, can a Preview function be added for writing new posts?
4. I think it'd look cleaner if the comments had smaller boxes than the main Tale box. While I'm on the subject, I also think that huge Troper names aren't needed for the comments, but that's just my opinion.
Looks great, Eddie. Be looking forward to this being implemented.

Agreed, I get the reasoning behind the large troper names on the tales, but I think the comment names could safely be a little smaller. As well as the actual troper names, but I understand why it's the way it is.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Also: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/tales.php?trope=Main.YouFailBiologyForever
Custom-titled tropes need to be recognized.
I know the page is unfinished, but I'm just mentioning this in case you forgot.
Dropping in to mention something that has been bothering me for a while: the "stories about Insert Trope Here in troper's lives" format at the top has grammar issues.
#1 AFAIK it should be " tropers' "; #2 some trope names cause further grammar wreckage
For example, the Abandoned Hospital Troper Tales page currently reads: "Here we have true stories about Abandoned Hospital in troper's lives. What are yours?"
The easiest way I can think of to fix both issues is to change it into "Here we have true stories about the "Insert Trope Here" trope in tropers' lives. What are yours?"

Pretentious quote || In-joke from fandom you've never heard of || Shameless self-promotion || Something weird you'll habituate toTriple: The way you did it sounds good to me.
Who watches the watchmen? This is excellent. My main concern at this point is Troper Tales for things like Cloud Cuckoolander getting so many entries they become unmanageable.

Looks like we'll be switching over to the new system later tonight. When that happens, all troper tales UR Ls will lead to a page saying 'none entered, yet' (effectively). The archived old stuff will be available through a link, and the source of the archive will be available from a button on the archive display.
An archive look like this.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyWill we have to change our watchlist, or will the new system will use the same links? I had to change a few items on my watchlist after the rename to Headscratchers.
So how will we deal with pages like Fetish Fuel?
They'll do like they do today. The troper tales link just sends you back the main page.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyQuestion!
In the new system, could responses to the effect of "Are you me?" be counted as natter, and subsequently cut?
I dunno. The new system hides natter a good bit better. It may not be hurting anything, since you have to actively seek it out.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyEddie, I think the question is whether the Watchlist will show when edits are being made to a watched Troper Tales article, like it does now. How do you "watch" a page under the new system, anyway? Unlike things like Discussion, it seems that a person watching a trope might not necessarily want to always and automatically watch its Troper Tales page. In retrospect, we should have thought of this earlier... unless you did.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"It's more like Me Too!. Which is and always has been disposable and pointless.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"What about Troper Tales pages that have been added to the Permanent Red Link Club? Is there anything in place to prevent the creation of new tales for cut and locked pages, because that could potentially be a problem now the system's been reset.
That's been handled. We didn't install last night. It should be going in in the next hour or so.
Goal: Clear, Concise and WittyI... really like Troper Tales. Why are we messing with a good thing?
I've been here too long. Regretting choosing this screenname ten years ago.Oh, Jesus, this is done already, there's no point in complaining about it, and you should read the thread to get the reasons, by now.
"My life is my own" | If you want to contact me privately, please ask first on the forum.Well I guess I got the First Post for Complaining About Shows You Don't Watch, but there seems to be a problem. My handle was created as nuclearneo577, so the link to my page is screwed up. Also, Fetish Fuel is not redirecting properly.

I like the collapsing/expanding comments. Will edits show up as a note at the top in one box or how will that work?
