An idea for a psych. thriller.

Here's an idea for a serial I'm considering writing after I'm done with my current projects:

20 Minutes into the Future, cosmetic neurosurgery is the next big deal. The series focuses on one of the top doctors in the field, a man so brilliant that his projects have a knack for going horribly right.

Here are three ideas I had for episodes:

• A Brilliant, but Lazy Lonely Rich Kid set to inherit his parents' corporation decides to have his ambition and charisma "worked on." He's brutally effective at his new job, but it soon becomes obvious he's slowly losing the ablility to feel sympathy, satisfaction, and eventually, love. His company reaches new heights of productivity, though... Until the faulty product lawsuits begin come rolling in because of his relentless cost-cutting.
• An insecure Hollywood Pudgy actress comes in asking for more confidence, sex appeal, and style consciousness. From then on, every monogamous relationship she tries to get into explodes within months due to her new egoand cheating habits, and her old friends are replaced by thousands of MiMania-level fanboys... One of whom commits suicide in front of her, drving her to spend the rest of her life as a Reclusive Artist.
• The story of a rich eccentric who hops from surgeon to surgeon getting every proceedure he can afford, turning himself into the mental equivalent of Hang Mioku. proclaiming himself a superhuman, Discovering Things Man Was Not Meant to Know, and ending up "lost in thought" forever. He makes some genuinely brilliant discoveries and at one point, finds the meaning of life, the universe and everything... But by that point he's so broken that his attempts to explain them to his caretakers at the mental hospital might as well be the rantings of an acid casualty.

I'm considering writing it as a Seinen-inspired webcomic, like my other projects.

Cosmetic....neurosurgery?

AWESOME.

In all seriousness, this has a lot of potential. I imagine you might have characters feeling some angst over whether or not they'll be the 'same person' as they were before the surgery, with all the associated identity crises, etc. The surgeon himself also seems like he'd be an interesting character.
