Character Development Thread--Discussion

Edited in a belated response for Kaguya. My brain has been refusing to work right lately. ._.

I'll get my post done some time this afternoon...

I really, really, do hate to sound rude and impatient, but it's been over two weeks and we still don't have the next thread. We've just been waiting a long while.

Unfortunately, you're going to have to wait a little longer; it's finals season (mine start next week) and so even if the thread was completely ready it probably wouldn't be for the best to start it now.

The good news is that all the areas have descriptions now; only the OP and map remain to be done.

Alright, that's understandable, good luck on those then.

Just to clarify, Iris is probably starting to reach an uncomfortably loud tone. Anyone in the area could easily hear her.

Well I didn't exactly mean physically uncomfortable. She's not screaming her head off, she's just loud enough to be distinctly heard by those nearby. That paired with what she's saying is what I meant by uncomfortable.

Do you want me to edit that?

Only if you want to, but for future reference, I didn't intend for her to be that loud. Yikes!

Anyone willing to provide me with an idea of what's happening in Archipelago? I wanna jump in until the next thread comes along.

To my knowledge:

• Kaguya and Cyana are conversing in the hotel, on the balcony of the former's room.
• Iris is yelling at Howell in the Big Kahuna, and Thomas just tried to stop her to no avail. Meanwhile, George, Nathan, Adam, Max, Hisami, and Hayate are watching the affair, and Selena is looking over the menu.
• Kazue ran off into the jungle (from outside the Big Kahuna).
• Aseyu and Joseph are swimming around in a cenote in the jungle, on a waypoint to the ruins (where a plot is waiting to start).
• The Song, Duckie, Claire, and Yuuta are standing on the beach; the former three are investigating some sort of transdimensional thingy that I have no idea what the nature of is, while the latter is just listening.
• Close to the above, Forsythe is repairing her massive robot, while Takuya is standing by watching and conversing with her.

That's it for Pax, as far as I know. Elsewhere....

• Kunstler and Sam are (apparently) in Azatha's fortress, while the latter shows the former what happened to his daughter.
• Tamara, Askeda, Kevin, Layi, and Elisif are continuing on with the Nulbarak Island plot at its usual slow pace.

And I think that's everybody disregarding inactive characters.

Alright, thank you very much, I shall write up a post then.

I'm a little busy, so I won't be able to post for a few hours.

Actually, I take that back entirely. Going to write now.

@Darkblood Carnagefang: Is your character talking to the group of Forsythe and Takuya, or the group of the Song, Claire, Duckie, and Yuuta? I might be able to edit in a response depending upon which group it is.

I've edited in the response, where Yuuta directs him to the other group. That seemed most believable to me, although he can certainly stay here, I don't think Duckie really has anything to do at the moment either.

Got to listen to some lectures, take notes, write summaries, etc. Gonna be busy most of the day.

I was reading through some of the CDT trope pages for threads I was involved with (mainly Resort) and the character pages, and even as I cringed at the bad examples on some of them, I was remembering how much fun I had. So I've had enough: we really need to settle down and come up with some way to reinvigorate things (hopefully reaching out to new people in the process) instead of just saying we will and then dropping it.

I, personally, can't do anything for the next few weeks, because I'm dealing with health problems and a paper deadline. But I hope to make this a priority by the end of May at the latest.

Bluh, nevermind.

Sorry I haven't posted recently, I've been oversleeping and I now have a massive headache. I'll try to post something later, but I gotta do stuff first.

Egh, not much to write at the moment. I'm going to be especially busy until Wednesday too, working on something stupid for Sociology. And then again around this time next week, working on something else stupid for Sociology.

Ryuzha, KC: you guys okay with Adrian joining you in the ruins?
