A few days ago I was watching a friend troll Yahoo Answers when he came across this. I'm not actually certain it's our Major Tom, but from the political POV it seems like it. (Incidentally, my friend is the guy with the Skittles.)

Then just now I came across this off Facebook. Notice the author of the last comment.

Well, both «Major Tom» and «Hershele Ostropoler» are cultural references.

We know Major Tom's a junkie.

Given that the Yahoo Answers avatar is an astronaut, and our Major Tom didn't make his name after the Bowie song, I would say maybe not.

I remember seeing Karalora years ago (as in early 2001) on an anime forum.

There's at least one other person on the internet using variants of "temporal paradox" as a handle. When I need to disambiguate, I add an 88. It happens to be my birth year, but that's not why I use it.

Some motherfucker already took Kitsune Inferno on YouTube.

I don't know what angers me more: the fact he has nothing posted, the fact that he's still active, or the fact that he's friends with himself.

I'm always trying to snag Katz, my preferred handle, but it's always taken. Even here, obviously.

I've only seen people from this site in the Kotaku comments section.

I have, however, come across the same guy on four different websites, with two different names.

I think the only troper I ran into on the Internet somewhere completely unrelated was someone linking me to what JAF was...erm...known for.

Thankfully abstracted behind the text of a Wikipedia page.

I remember Electivirus and Kinkajou from Serebii Net Forums.

Apparently, once when my brother was playing Halo online with my account (under this name), someone recognized him/me.

I saw Icalasari on the Cracked comments pages several times.

And as for me, if you see someone on the net with the name Icarael, that's me. Except on Youtube, where someone got to the name before me.
