Ever get those gut reaction, those bad feelings about an event or your future or just plain old bad vibes from someone?

You know the type of feeling that are sometimes right mostly wrong but creep you the hell out when your right.

The ones that you don't know why you get them, and have no ration thought behind them but send shivers up your spine, that weird feelings. That makes you say I've got a bad feeling about this?

If so when, why and do you think it's something more than normal or is it just mental indigestion?

I'll often get them for no reason, and nothing will happen. That is called general anxiety—or you could say it's mental acid reflux disease.

I get them occasionally.

I'm usually right, and yet I usually do not listen to myself.

You'd think I would've learned by now.

The ones that you don't know why you get them,
I get bad feelings about the future all the time, but there's no mystery to them. In any given situation, there are more ways for things to go wrong than there are for them to go right.

Nothing wrong with having it. Sometimes it is right and sometimes it is wrong. The one that really gets me is when my hair prickles on my arms and neck and I get that gut feeling. When I don't know why I get pretty wary. Sometimes you notice things in very obtuse manner and your brain kicks in letting you know something is off.

I have that all the time, because I have OCD and maybe General Anxiety Disorder.

This happens very, very frequently. Sometimes it's just worrisome paranoia, other times it turns out to be true.

I was walking today, and there was a young guy out, you know the eerie, Evil Albino character type? He embodied it. Yeah he looked cheerful, but Evilly Affable / Affably Evil are tropes too. So when I passed him, I suddenly got a chill down my spine. Like, there was just something so very wrong about him.

I sometimes do. And almost invariably, after I get them something ridiculously good happens to me.

Therefore, whenever I have a bad feeling I end up getting a good feeling about having gotten a bad feeling.

It's when I don't have any strange misgivings that something usually goes terribly wrong.

Happens sometimes, but usually does not mean anything. But then again, this one is awful at reading people.

I get them a lot. Sometimes it's right, sometimes it's not. I chalk most of it up to the old 'cop itch'.

This one thinks that those who have it right have a good intuition, and intuition is explained as a combination of perception, memory and experience most of the time.

I have this, in a way. But it's more like "I don't think this is going to work, though I can't put my finger on it, but trust me it's probably a bad idea". In other words, common sense.

I get that feeling very rarely. Last time I got the feeling was when I was writing the OP in my "Help" thread back in October. I just knew something bad would come from it. I could not have been more wrong! The things in my life just sorta.. happen all of a sudden. I've gotten so used to them happening almost randomly, always unexpectedly, while sometimes it'll look like something's gonna go wrong and it won't. So my mind stopped having the feelings.

I don't have them often, but Ive learned to pay attention to them when I do get them. Mr Maddy used the same term for them as Barkey did: "Cop Itch", and held that they were usually the result of the back of your mind putting together pieces of information that you weren't consciously aware of.
