You got some dirt on you. Here's some more! And its on now.
That only works in movies.
This made me chuckle.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!"The Quest":
Would that be considered an inversion of Chekhov's Skill, or just Epic Fail? I actually sort of saw Tina's dad coming. I also loved Gumball's line "I'm not a fighter" line.
"The Spoon":
From the synopsis I thought the robbery would be done two minutes into the episode and the rest would be about the two getting in trouble. For a second I thought they had reached Ludicrous Speed and actually disappeared. That is a damn big gas station.
I'm getting sick to this whole, "Incompetent Dad," cliche. How and why does Nicole put up with Richard, anyway?
Yep, I'm still here.I don't really care if Richard isn't the most original character, I still like him.
I really liked The Quest. Tina is shaping up to be my favorite character. And I am so glad that they actually went out of their way to make The Bully a character rather than just that ever-present "big bad kid that the audience should not like" archetype. She lives in a literal trash dump and gets scared.
I also liked how they never actually got Gumball and Darwin in trouble. It was all about what happened at the robbery. Man, this show is just having a blast throwing all these plot curveballs. Though that is an enormous gas station.
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonIts a pretty good show in my opinion. Me and my brother have been watching it lately and taping episodes of it on our HD DVR. I like how it combines various different methods of animation and even has the Roger Rabbit Effect to some extext.
Un-frickin-touchable.I sense meme coming with Gumball and Anais doing that wideeyed thing
I was laughing throughout that bit.
Please consider supporting my artwork on PatreonI was just watching the show today and I just didn't like it. It seems like it should be funny, but it just isn't. The animation style seems muddled. If your TV is set too dark, then you wouldn't be able to see whatever it was that the pink bunny did to the dinosaur, Tina, near the end of The Quest.
I want Chowder back. The pink bunny girl is basically an expy of Panini in terms of "design" anyway. Not only can the mighty CN not keep from canceling their few watchable shows, they can't keep from cannibalizing from them now too?
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyI'm loving this show!!!
But as for "The Spoon," can someone explain to me why a spoon was used in lieu of a gun? I didn't get the supposed joke/reference.
I sorta like Richard, even if I absolutely despise the "Dumb Dad" cliche`. He's funny and stupid, but not annoying, like most dumb dads are.
YOU! OBEY THE FIST!His freakout in "The Spoon" is one of my favorite moments so far. I also thought that episode had some really good animations of Gumball and Darwin.
Thunder, Thunder, Thunder...This episode's Ship Tease. Holy shit.
,....Was that a gay incest kiss?
"Pals before gals!" True dat.
Experience has taught me to investigate anything that glows.^He's adopted so it's not really incest. 'Twas gay, though, and the second kiss they had, right?
I could not control my laughter after I saw the satisfied and lovestruck faces on both Gumball and Darwin after they kissed. Yes it's the second time.
This show is just too much. I love it. This is even more of a ship tease than mordecai and rigby.
I felt the same as with "The Dress" where's is cringe-inducing but also funny. Though I found the funniest parts were Banana Joe chopping the tree down (and onto himself), and Gumball on the diving board* . Gumball's bone-cracking and the "they can't see you if you can't see them" scene were good too.
It seems from this point on we're going to get one short a week instead of two, like we've gotten with most of Cartoon Network shows lately. Someone on another board wondered if it might end up taking Problem Solverz slot on the Monday block, which I think it's pretty possible. Of course the show has for some reason been getting better ratings with the Tuesday re-runs, so it could be moved then to.
EDIT: I was wondering what Darwin remembers of before he had legs, but with this episode I couldn't stop thinking of it turning into some insane slash-fic fodder.

This may or may not be my first time posting n the forums (I can't remember) but I caught the tail-end of one episode last night...and I was hooked like a goldfish that grew legs...or something. This show is the funniest sh*t (censored just incase) I've seen in...forever. The animation, especially the faces on the Waterson family, is superb. Every single character has endeared themselves to me. I haven't watched any of the other memetically famous recent Cartoon Network shows like Adventure Time, Flapjack, Average Show and I never plan to, Gumball is a must watch for me.
Might be awesome. Wait, no, is awesome.Something I noticed made the slapstick a lot funnier is the sort of different timing and reactions used, often with it being less exaggerated than you'd expect.
This episode provided three good examples:
- Gumball rammed into that car, then just fell back over, limp and unconscious, looking like someone should call him an ambulance as the scene cuts away. Then when it comes back he's up, but still slumped over and looks like he manifests a Wolverine-style Healing Factor to pop his joints back into place.
- Gumball and Darwin were both limping after they jumped out the window.
- After Gumball just smacked into the water we don't see his face, just him floating there for a moment and sinking.
New episode airs in a little bit just to let you guys know.
