Biggest Harem

I wonder who's scored with the most people from their harem ? I want to say Makoto from School Days but I'm not knowledgeable enough to in Harem shows to make that assertion

Only two, at most, for School Days' Makoto. Only one ending has him whoring out to various classmates, but he's still dwarfed by Negi.

I meant for the TV series. He gets every female character who has a name except Nanami.

If you're going by adaptations, then Negi 'scores' with all 31 students in his class.

IIRC School Days has an ending where he gets all the girls and keeps them all happy.

To Love Ru Rito could have 13 in a literal harem if he had some balls... Bonus points for a Innocent Fanservice Girl, Yandere, Tsundere, Kuudere, Christmas Cake and a couple Token Loli's in the harem Also the harem gets larger since his genderfliped Riko has more than a few guys after him.

The biggest problem with big harems is the authors never know how to tie all the romantic loose ends at the finale.

The only finished work with a large harem is Mahou Sensei Negima and Mr. Akamatsu was unable to come up with a clear conclusion. Due to its unnatural premise and mixture of genre, however, it might not exactly be a good example to use.

Since I do not have much experience with the genre and do not intend to have any in the future, I shall not speak further of it.

What, Seina Yamada's harem of nine women (whom he all married in the end) don't count as a "large harem"? That's a lot more than most harem shows with actual romantic resolutions, you know.

Eh, the one that jumps to my mind is Nagasarete Airantou, where the lead has an entire island of girls going for his pants. Though the series only focuses on a part of them...

That's a pretty loose definition of "harem", but as far as managing the affections of multiple girls without explicitly choosing one, he's definitely farther along in that area... still, I claim that it's an unfair advantage.

There's nothing particularly "loose" with it, considering all of them are perfectly honest with their feelings for him, and he's perfectly honest with his feelings for them. Only the "romantic" portion was removed, but not entirely so.
