End of Evangelion, recreated with Final Fantasy XIII characters.

The biggest barrier here is who to make Asuka - Lightning starts off cold but she defrosts halfway through the game, Fang is generally pretty upbeat and awesome and Vanielle is really nice to Hope thoughout the game. I don't want to flanderize Lightning based on her early behavior, but it'd be the only way to get a main character in Asuka's place. Being a retelling, I guess the dynamic could change and/or Lightning could take issue with the hospital scene.

Shinji would be Hope, of course, Fang would be Misato, Vanielle would be Rei and Barthandelus would be Gendo. The bridge bunnies could be Sazh, Snow and Serah, and an unwilling Cid Raines could be Fuyutsuki.

But who's Kaworu, then? Maybe instead of an alien boy learning to love humanity through Hope, he could be mad at his mother being killed? idk.

Probably never going to write this, but I thought the idea was cool.

A Beyonders and Fablehaven crossover, Fablehaven where some of the side characters end up in Lyrian, for some reason.

I had an idea for an AU fanfic starring some of the girls from the series Inu Yasha (specifically Kagome, Sango, Kagura, and a grown-up Rin) as characters in a Vampire The Requiem game set during the The '80s in Miami.

I was thinking of doing a Pokemon Mystery Dungeon fic with the plot of the Zendikar set of Magic the Gathering. It at least gives me an excuse to turn Missigno into an Eldritch Abomination that even the Eldrazi will be proud of.

A Mass Effect fanfic where I explore the events of ME 1 through Saren's eyes while he's being controlled by Sovereign. Oh and it ships Saren/Nihlus. Yeah.

And my Kingdom Hearts self insert fic during the Time Skip I plan on doing a deconstruction of the Thou Shalt Not Kill trope in Archie Sonic Metal Gear-style.

You gotta start somewhere.

Here's a couple of ideas I've had for a while now.

Idea 1: A collection of one-shots where my various OT Ps are involved in a Magical Girlfriend/Boyfriend-type relationship - y'know, one of them's a fairy, angel, god/goddess, etc. I'm gonna try and have a different Interspecies Romance per chapter, but I may have to reuse a few of them (good thing there's dozens of mythologies with hundreds of gods/goddesses, isn't it?) And there might be a few Whole Plot References to stuff like Spirited Away or I Dream Of Jeannie. I'm not gonna use couples who are canonically married, though - it just doesn't make sense using them for this to me.

Idea 2: A The Animals Of Farthing Wood-type story, where all the characters from the fandoms I personally like live in this Magical Land, but their home is destroyed, so they have to find a new one.

To be honest, I'm not too sure about the second one - it seems a bit too ambitious, what with the possibility that the various characters could prove to be a Deus ex Machina every now and then, not to mention having to keep track of the Loads And Loads Of Characters.

Also, there's a few pairings I won't be able to use for my first one, since they already technically qualify as Magical Girlfriend/Boyfriend:

What do you guys think of my ideas?

Here's a couple more ideas I had:

Idea 1: Something went wrong when the Senshi were resurrected. Now the former Queen Beryl is Sailor Moon, and Lady Serenity rules the Dark Kingdom. Also, Elza Gray is Sailor Uranus.

Idea 2: Starscream discovers that he is pregnant with Megatron’s sparkling, but when he goes to tell Megatron, he overhears the tyrant talking to Soundwave and mentioning that he thinks sparklings are “annoying as slag”. Extremely upset, and not wanting to get rid of his sparkling, Starscream decides to leave the Decepticons and strike out on his own. But he never expected Megatron to come looking for him.

Here's a couple of ideas I had recently. The first is for Invader Zim, and the second is a crossover between Transformers Animated and My Life As A Teenage Robot.

Idea 1: During one of Zim and Dib’s confrontations, the machine Zim is using blows up, and turns him into an amnesic smeet. Finding himself unable to hurt a little child (even if the child IS an alien, and his worst enemy) Dib decides to do the next best thing and raise Zim himself, in the hopes that doing so will make the Irken come to love the Earth.

Idea 2: Nora Wakeman and Issac Sumdac meet at a robotics convention and start dating, leading to Jenny meeting Sari and the Autobots. Things are a little tense between the robot girls at first, especially when their parents announce their intention to get married, but after fighting a few bad guys together, the stepsisters to be come to accept each other - good thing too, as the Cluster have teamed up with the Decepticons.

So, what do we think?

How about a Naruto fanfiction in which Hinata, Shino, Kiba (and Akamaru)....

Fight a really old, half naked, southern drawling, whiskey swilling, hoodoo practicing, FOUL mouthed, Honest to evilness D&D style Necromancer.

To avoid the general unpleasantness of Sueness, I'd keep balance by making their enemy a squishy wizard. His witchcraft only works with copious amounts of body parts, body fluids, gorging on copious amounts of drugs, body parts and booze (to attain an altered state of consciousness), and dancing around a cauldron for hours. Hours. Oh, and the fellow has temporary immortality without youth which he gains by capturing spirits of all kinds. Lastly as a nod to my love for Lovecraft, the bastard in question was a muggle seeking vengeance on the super powered shinobi in the world, Made a Deal with Discount Cthulhu, then went mind boggling insane. He now peddles potions, tailsmens, revenge curses, and exorcisms to commoners at equitable rates.

Their nemesis is somewhat inspired by Aghori (An infamous Hindu sect whose secluded practices have included cannibalism and necrophila), and Otis B Driftwood.

Really though, the whole idea came about from one day I was thinking "AH MAN, wouldn't it be cool if Team 8 fought skeleton warriors?"

I worry the concept might be too out of the box for the usual sort of people who like Naruto to be interested in.

.....A bit of an odd one but I just was suddenly hit with this idea today. A Teen Titans and City Of Heroes crossover/integration. Basically a teenage metahuman from the infamous Rouge Isles (if you have no knowledge of City Of Heroes, the Rouge Isles were the villain and later on vigilante zones) ends up in Jump City. Forced into the H.I.V.E Team (that would be different this time around being that the Rikti Wars killed off a lot of prospective Metas so Gizmo, and Mammoth amongst others might be dead before the story begins) by Brother Blood who is backed by the Circle of Thorns.

The world would be a lot more dangerous in this crossover for obvious reasons being as how it's a integration rather then a literal crossover. The Titans would obviously have more villains to fight and would be at more of a threat of getting seriously injured. The villains would also be teamed up a lot more as lone metahumans would not survive very long unless they were trained and powerful. The H.I.V.E Team in this setting would be more of a rouge (a Anti-Villain that could undergo a Face–Heel Turn pretty much)team essentially. Teams or gangs of metahumans and humans would be a regularity in this setting.

Of course there is potential problems. Being how City Of Heroes was kind of a niche MMO I probably wouldn't get very much of an audience. On top of that I would have to stay true to both settings while reconstructing some of the historical events to fit. I am not intimately familiar with DC's world as much as I was in City Of Heroes which would require a lot of researching and hoping I don't screw up events.

It would probably be a lot easier then my Worm and City Of Heroes crossover idea at the very least.

[up]Quick question.

When you say Teen Titans, do you mean the cartoon or the comic book?

Cartoon. I don't know the comic book as well unfortunately. Never really had the time to gather up comics and the last local comic book store closed down years ago so....

This idea isn't really a 'fan-fiction', but I figured fangames fall into the same category.

I've been conceptualizing a Mega Man (Classic) fangame that uses as many characters from as many different games, movies, comics, etc as possible. Each new game would randomize the bosses, so you end up with a different play-through each time.

I even came up with a list that covers boss weaknesses and weapon types so the bosses can be organized in a way that there's a proper weakness cycle each time as well.

Water, Fire, Ice, Earth, Electric, Nature, Light, Dark, Melee, Explosive, Cut, Pierce, Blunt, Supernatural, Cosmic, Energy

Every weapon would have 2 types, and each boss 2 weaknesses. The game would check when randomizing the characters that at least 8 different types were spread across the board, ensuring every boss has a weakness to at least one other boss's weapon.

The reason this is probably a bad idea? Batman and Mickey Mouse together in the same game. That is all.

I was considering starting a series of fanfics satirizing Go Animate "Grounded" videos (I actually have a draft of one story already written, in fact), but I'm wondering whether or not I should go through with it because I'm concerned that I'll offend the un-ironic fanbase.

Bar Wars

I started off with a single chapter, expecting a short story of about five pages. The whole thing now stands at one hundred and twenty pages, my longest work of fiction thus far. The actual connection to Star Wars is tenuous at best. Perhaps better discribed as the universe of EVE Online populated exclusively by depressed murderous alcoholics, this work of fiction has original characters. For some reason I ended up including the ewoks, a move that will probably earn me infinite scorn from true Star Wars fans. The story is about friendship and the nature of existance. Written from a first person perspective, protagonist Gerard and his supporting characters travel as the third galactic bar war erupts around them (the first and second bar wars happened ten and twenty years prior, described in the prologue). They're trying to scrounge up a living and generally getting the worst of it. The main characters are pirates and war criminals, and pretty much everyone they meet is even worse.

Transhumanism is a main theme, taking the form of characters cloning themselves and linking the clones to create a shared consciousness. Effective immortality is a byproduct, as is permanent depression that can only be alleviated through rampant substance abuse, alcohol first and foremost. Since these transhumans are superior spaceship pilots, recruiting them to one's cause has become the primary means of waging war. Companies that produced alcohol suddenly found themselves in a unique position of power.

It'll never work. But it was fun as a thought experiment and fun to actually write. Bar Souls was easier and might find more widespread appeal.

My next project is Bar Cry 3, where an alcoholic Harry Potter Expy gets drunk in the jungle after his parents are tortured and killed.

A crossover of a type I kinda like when done well: the protagonists of two shows on the same network are under attack from a killer, even though they've never met. Why?

Jack Garrett and Mac Taylor stared at each other over Mac's desk in stunned silence. Practically the rest of the crime lab was watching through two glass walls, but neither seemed to notice.

"Wow," was all Danny said.

"You know," Jo said, "this is probably more common than we think. I mean, there are over seven billion people in the world. Even accounting for family lines, we can't ALL look visually distinct. We just never meet our... counterparts."

"Yeah," Adam said, "but they don't just look similar, they look EXACTLY alike!"

"Is Mac adopted or something?" Lindsay asked Sid.

"Not as far as I know."

"Well, I know one thing," Sheldon said. "I know two people who are gonna take a REAL close look at their family trees when this is all over..."
