"The only thing I did here was catch a brick, and considering you threw it at my girlfriend, what did you expect?" asked Duke, playfully.

Jacob: -Sighs- "May I remind you that actively trying to anger me is a very bad idea considering my very very thin tolerance for being annoyed or pushed around? I understand you're having fun with this, but now your taking your teasing a bit too far."

Argentum: -Pops out, and telepathically, so Jacob doesn't hear, but Lyuri, Sakura, Duke do- <I could always tell him what Duke really is.>

Elityria: "Yeah, okay, I know teasing him is fun, but really, there's only so much he can take before he gets... out of control. So could you please stop?"

Driftveil

"Fine, fine... It's no fun when you don't react anyway." said Lyuri, with a sigh.

"Wait, how... How?" asked Duke, to Argentum, in disbelief that he had found him out.

Sakura just shakes her head at Argentum, getting her point across.

Driftveil City

Zeta: I am so bored.

| Suddenly, Cetus comes down out of the sky.

Cetus: <Miss! Miss!>

Zeta: Yes, Cetus?

Cetus: <There's something... odd... in the sky.

| Zeta perks up.

Zeta: Finally, something to do!

Zeta: Take me up.

Cetus: <Yes miss.>

| She hops on his back, alongside Vahagn. Glossa stays with her, as always. Kaminari and Hadur, meanwhile, stay on the ground.

Above Driftveil City

| As they pass through the low lying clouds, Zeta spots what Cetus was talking about.

Zeta: What is that? It looks like... like... a tiny hole in the world.

| Indeed, that is what it looks like. It is about the size of a marble.

Cetus: <I don't know what it is either, miss.>

Zeta: Hmm...

| She thinks long and hard. Finally:

Zeta: I'd better tell the rest of the group about this. They've probably encountered it before, knowing them. Luckily, it doesn't look too dangerous for now.

Zeta: Take us down, Cetus.

Cetus: <Yes, ma'am.>

| They descend back to the city.

Driftveil City

| They land, and Zeta and Vahagn hop off.

Cetus: <Where did Kaminari and Hadur go?>

Zeta: Who knows, with that little bug. I'm sure they're fine.

Zeta: In light of recent events, I need you to stick near me, Cetus. Try not to crash into any buildings, please.

Cetus: <Yes, miss.>

Zeta: Now, where are they?

Cetus: <Kaminari and Hadur?>

Zeta: No. The group. -sigh- They're always so hard to locate.

| She wanders around for a while, half-heartedly looking for the group.

Zeta: This is getting us nowhere. Let's just go find something else to do.

Cetus: <Yes, miss.>

| They exit the city to the east, crossing the bridge and entering Route 5.

Route 5

| Zeta is wandering around in the tall grass, mildly bored. All the wild Pokemon making appearances are far too weak for any significant experience to be wrung out of them. They rarely last long enough to even get in a single hit.

| The grass in front of her begins to rustle and shake dramatically.

| Zeta braces herself for a significant fight.

| And then, out steps a Cinccino.

Cinccino: <Oh, hello, darling!>

Zeta: Hello, yourself.

Cinccino: <You look like you could use someone of my skills.>

Zeta: Oh? What would those be?

Cinccino: <Here, let me give you my business card.>

| She hands Zeta a tiny slip of cardboard. She can barely make out:

"Nairobe: Fashion Consultant and Professional Shopper."

| Zeta puts the card away in her bag.

Zeta: ...

Zeta: Alright. Hop on Cetus's back.

Nairobe: <You won't regret taking me on your staff.>

Zeta: If you say so.

| They go back to Driftveil City, crossing over the bridge.

Zeta: Now, I'm beginning to get worried about Kaminari and Hadur.

Zeta: I'm still very curious as to where Pi found the little monster.

Argentum: -To Duke- <In the time it takes you to form a thought I could read a novel. It's absurdely easy for a Metagross to piece together something very unobvious. Also, I can read minds. I would believe it is hard to miss the recurring thoughts of this subject.>

Elityria: -Notices Duke and Sakura- "Huh? Something wrong?"

"Note to self: Keep my mind clean near psychics." thought Duke, before giving a sigh and looking at Lity and shaking his head slightly "Nothing important, really."

"Ok ok, I'm stopping, yeesh, as annoying as Herbert was, he was more fun to tease." said Lyuri, looking rather annoyed now.

Driftveil

Jacob: "Sorry I'm not fun to tease. Because the feeling is always mutual." -Rolls eyes-

Argentum: <Well alright then. You can try, don't expect it to work if one really wants to get inside your head, though.> -Dissapears back into dusk ball-

Elityria: "... What did Argentum want?"

Jacob: "I'm sure it was nothing. He likes to pop out and say things to make people's lives harder."

Driftveil

"That seems to be the case, yes." said both Sakura and Duke

Lyuri rolls her eyes too and just decides to drop the subject "Well, it's getting late, maybe we should go to bed now." she said, to everyone but more specifically to Sakura and Duke

"Yeah, maybe we can start checking the city later." said Duke.

Sakura nods and they head into the Pokémon Center.

Driftveil

Jacob: "Right. Night." -Grabs Lity's hand and walks into the center, the two get a room and go in-

Elityria: "You need to lighten up more."

Jacob: -Sighs and looks down- "I know. I'm sorry. It's just... I don't like being embarassed. I like leaving those memories alone and never brought up."

Elityria: -Now in her pajamas- "I know. But the world isn't going to change, you'll have to."

Jacob: "Seriously, how do you do that? I know I keep asking, but really, it's like, one second, day clothes, next, pajamas! How does that work?"

Elityria: "I dunno. Let's go to bed now." -Glomps- "Night!"

Jacob: -Hugs back slowly and awkwardly- "N-Night..."

Brecht: <Okay. That'll work.>

Sarah: <Feel free to go wherever... I'll send you a note whenever we need you. Just don't be as much of a jerk about it as Tagg's Xatu is.>

-The Krookodile takes a large rock and bashes Annie with it... only he doesn't, because Annie is already out of the way. Instead, he bashes his own nose.-

Annie: <I'm supposed to, silly~>

The high priest of Giratina... Has returned!

Kanto, shortly before the group leaves for Unova

-Chrome approaches Arika-

Chrome: <I want to show you something to the north of here.>

Arika: Oh? What is it?

Chrome: -Bends down- <Climb on and you’ll see.>

-She does so. Chrome then levitates magnetically and hovers off-

-The two eventually arrive here-

Arika: -Gets off Chrome- Wow, this place is pretty!

Chrome: -Puts on his armband- Follow me.

-He walks toward a castle. Arika follows-

-Arika and Human!Chrome are standing in front of the portrait of Sir Aaron and his Lucario. -

Human!Chrome: I figured it was time I told you about... My life.

Arika: Ooh, nice. You’re at least as old as Lina, right?

Human!Chrome: Thousands of years older, actually.

Arika: -Eyes widen- Woah! You must have seen a lot.

Human!Chrome: Yes. Yes I have.

-He shuffles his feet a bit-

It all started when I was four individual Beldum, living among a civilization of Metagross. This civilization, working with a twin civilization of Alakazam, created wonders the human world has yet to achieve.

-He sighs-

But our hubris grew too great. We went to war with each other, and one side tried to activate a supervolcano, which required three Legendaries to sacrifice their lives to stop.

Arika: What happened after that?

Human!Chrome: A massacre. The Legends wiped both civilizations from the face of the earth. The four Beldum that became me were among the few survivors... Thanks to a Shaymin that was kind enough to save us.

Arika: Oh...

Human!Chrome: Millennia passed. As I grew from four Beldum to a Metagross, I watched you humans go from tribespeople to thriving civilizations. I mostly observed, but eventually, about a thousand years ago, I started training with Aura Guardians. And that’s when I met... Them.-gestures to the Sir Aaron and Lucario portrait-

Arika: Wow, you were one of Sir Aaron’s mons?

Human!Chrome: Not quite. He never officially obtained me. But he and his Lucario were good friends of mine.

-He sighs-

Then... To stop a vicious war, they sacrificed their lives in place of a Mew, who didn’t even seem that grateful. I never would have even known if it hadn’t been for that same Shaymin.

Arika: You have a bone to pick with most Legendaries, don’t you?

Human!Chrome: -Sighs- Yes.

-Smiles-

There is some good news. A few hundred years later, I was assigned to protect a little girl with strange powers. That little girl called herself Lina. We’ve been friends ever since.

Arika: Glad to hear that ended well! -Hugs him-

Human!Chrome: -Hugs back- Thank you. I’ll have to tell you my adventures with Lina sometime, when she’s around.

Arika: -grins- I’ll be sure to listen.

Sakura's Dream

Sakura finds herself in what seems to be an empty plain, or that was what she thought, she saw what seemed to be a dojo in the distance.

"Eh...? Where am I?" she thought as she started to walk towards the dojo out of curiosity.

As she walked towards the distant dojo, suddenly a girl◊ emerges from the ground in front of her with her arms ahead of her, like a zombie.

"Intruder!" said the girl in a rather goofy way.

"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Don't do that!" said Sakura, jumping backwards.

"Do what?" asked the girl, oblivous

Sakura just sighs "And wait... I can't get into the dojo?"

"Of course not! Lady Seiga is having a meeting there!"

"Who?"

"My master, she made me come back from the dead!"

"... You're a zombie?"

"A Jiang Shi"

Sakura then takes a few steps back from the girl, who just reacts with confusion, but soon gets it.

"Don't worry, I don't eat brains." said her, Sakura then sighs in relief "I eat Everything!

Sakura then takes a few more steps back with a rather uneasy look, picking a Pokéball from her bag in the process.

"Ah~ You want to get past me, fine, we'll have a Pokémon battle." said the zombie, cheerfully as a Shedinja suddenly appeared in front of her.

"Even zombies have Pokémon now?" thought Sakura "By the way, who are you? I'm Sakura..." she said, feeling rather awkward chatting with a zombie so casually like that.

"My name is Yoshika Miyako, also, if you lose, I'm going to bring you with me~" said the zombie, cheerfully.

"Eep!" said Sakura, now she really didn't have a choice in the matter, did she?

Driftveil Pokémon Center

Sakura wakes up and looks around her to see just her room, she sighs in relief immediatelly after it "Just a dream, of course." she said to herself, getting up from bed.

| Nairobe is off in a corner giving surprisingly good fashion tips to a group of Pokemon that have formed around her.

| Vahagn is loyally and silently staying near Zeta, while Cetus rests on top of the Center's roof.

-Herbert has woken up, and is sitting in the waiting room outside Sarah and Zeal's rooms, waiting for them to recover and drinking a cup of coffee whilst he does so.-

-A heavily-armoured police van is driving along a remote road, two International Police officers at the wheel. Deimos is sitting in the back, his hands cuffed and his shiny uniform replaced by a orange prison jumpsuit.-

Deimos: Hey officers, could we pull over for a minute? I need to pee-pee.

Officer 1: Very funny, dirtbag. You can go in the corner, if you're that desperate.

Officer A: I've heard that the prisons in Orre just dig a hole for you to squat in.

Deimos: Ha! You fuckers still think you're taking me to prison, don't you? Trust me, I'm not going anywhere.

Officer 1: Damn right you're not.

Officer A: You're staying there until we-

-There is a loud bang from outside, and suddenly the van shudders and grinds to a halt. Deimos grins as the two officers glance at each other.-

Officer 1: I'll go outside and check it out. Watch the prisoner.

-The police officer steps outside the van and examines the damage done to the vehicle with a look of consternation on his face.-

Officer 1: Looks like something's slashed the tires. But how could anything-

-A Salamance swoops down from the sky and blasts the officer with a burst of DragonBreath, incinerating him instantly. The officer still in the van gives a yell of horror and bursts out of the vehicle, sending out a Magnezone as he does. He is just in time to see the Salamance land on the ground after its first swoop, and a man with greying blue hair and a formal-looking suit disembark, sending out a Bisharp as he does.-

Officer A: Magnezone, subdue that-

Man: Bisharp, Focus Blast.

-The Bisharp fires a massive ball of energy at the Magnezone, knocking it out instantly. Without pausing, the Bisharp strides forwards and grabs the officer by the throat, pinning him against the door of the van. The man riding the Salamance steps forward, his face devoid of emotion.-

Man: My apologies about this. But you have someone I need.

Officer A: What, so you're just going to let me go if I give you the prisoner? No chance.

Man: No. I'm afraid that was never an option in the first place. Bisharp, finish him.

-The Bisharp obliges. The man grimaces as blood splatters across the police van, then sighs.-

Man: Such a senseless waste of human life. But their deaths were sadly necessary.

-He takes a set of keys off the body of the police officer, and opens up the back doors of the van. Deimos steps out, and his face breaks into a wide smile upon seeing the man.-

Deimos: Titan, you old bugger! Never thought I'd be so glad to see you!

Man Titan: It is a pleasure to meet you again, Deimos. Though I do wish we could have done so under better circumstances. I trust you were able to complete your mission in Black City before your unfortunate capture?

Deimos: I wasn't able to get the Pokemon you asked for back to-

Titan: That was a secondary objective. Irrelevant in the overall scheme of things. We have no shortage of test subjects. I was referring to your primary task.

Deimos: Oh, right. Of course, sir.

Titan: Excellent. We will perform a full debriefing back at headquarters. Is there anything you particularly wanted to mention before we leave?

Deimos: Actually, there's one thing I wanted to mention. The brats that took me in? They were a bunch of kids, and one of them was your lad.

-Titan's previously emotionless composure wavers for a second.-

Titan: You met Lucius? He is well, I assume?

Deimos: Well enough, as I can see. Barely recognised the little scamp. He's started traveling with this group of kids calling themselves the "J-Team". Ridiculous, I know, but they were pretty good for kids who can't even drink yet. Lucius still hasn't sworn off that stupid revenge quest of his yet, though. He looked bloody furious when I refused to tell him where you were.

Titan: I see.

-Titan sighs.-

Titan: I had hoped that time would have healed the distance between us... no matter. I shall endeavour to avoid a confrontation between us in the future, then. But the J-Team... that is a step on which we must fall down, or else over leap, for in our way it lies.

Deimos: What?

Titan: When was the last time you read Macbeth, Deimos?

Deimos: About... never, sir.

Titan: I figured as much. We should be leaving now. No doubt another group of police will be along shortly, and I would rather not be in the vicinity when they arrive.

-Titan recalls the Bisharp and walks over to his Salamance, hopping on with Deimos following behind. They fly off into the distance, leaving nothing but an empty van and two bodies behind them.-

| The assassin from before is once more aiming at Pi, through a window, with his dart-rifle. As he fires:

Baron Samedi: Not today, bitch!

| Baron Samedi suddenly appears, and slaps the barrel of the gun up into the air.

Baron Samedi: That boy is under my protection, ya' little shit.

| He then stubs his cigar out on the man's forehead.
