Seriously doing a cyberpunk/postcyberpunk story set in the Philippines (Since I'm from there and I'm mighty familiar with how the LE system works there, although any country can work depending on the literature that I can read).

Can't figure out a title for this series that I had in mind, but the first story (for now) is with an officer in the Philippine National Police who is invited to lead a special anti-terrorist/crime unit to take on cases that are of the utmost importance, especially when a hacker group was found to be the culprit responsible for a number of situations credited to them. The said group is the same one responsible for most of the Special Action Force officers killed in a raid to arrest them.

What would be a good name for the priestly/scholarly branch of The Illuminati? They're the ones that convert people to their cause.

I like to keep my audience riveted.

So I have this pretty cool idea for a book. I just I have no idea what to call it.

It's a prequel to Dracula, and it follows a 27-year-old Abraham van Helsing during his first encounters with Dracula and another vampire (who's very important to the story). Basically, Van Helsing is a doctor working for the British army in a forward camp during the Crimean War in 1855, where he meets the two vampires. He teams up with an infantry lieutenant, Riley Seward note , and an engineer named Tom Dalton after most of their camp is slaughtered by one of them.

I have absolutely no idea what to call this. All of my previous ideas are taken by well-known things.

(The previous titles I had in mind were Van Helsing, The Hunter, and The Killing Fields.)

Could you not name it for the other vampire, following the pattern of Dracula? Perhaps <Other Vampire's Name>: Before Dracula, or something similar, in order to make the connection clear.

Otherwise, perhaps Fields of Blood or On the Blood-Soaked Field — although I'll admit that the latter seems a little melodramatic to me... ^^;

If you do indeed change the first vampire's name from Dracula to something else, perhaps the Van Helsing: Before the Count? Alternatively, how about Van Helsing: The Early Years.

But if you choose to keep Dracula, then perhaps Dracula: First Contact.

[up][up] Perhaps The Crimson War? Play on the Crimean War with an allusion to human blood?

What would be a good name for a posh Alpha Bitch? Ideally, I'm looking for some classic and elegant; so I'm eschewing from harsh, overly masculine sounding surnames like "Biggum" or "Montague". At the moment, I'm thinking between:

Katherine Beaumont

Katherine Westgate

Katherine Holbrook

Which works best? Any other suggestions?

These are all too Cruel Intentions, well, the Katherine part anyway. What about Justine Lacroix, Annabelle Hartford, Melanie Scarlett, or Helena Regent ?

The reason I chose "Katherine" is because of how versatile the name is. My idea is to show her becoming less high strung and the evolution of her relationship with my main POV character through the use of her name; going from "insert surname" (hence why I didn't want a masculine-sounding surname) to "Katherine" to "Kate" to finally just "Kat".

Got it. tongue So, you're basically looking for a last name, right? I could come up with more if you'd want me to.

What would be a good name for a primarily German-based neo-Nazi conspiracy that seeks to revive Nazi rule and eventually create a worldwide Fourth Reich?

"Rebirth", huh? That sounds like a good meaningful codename for their end goal — Unternehmen Wiedergeburt (lit. "Undertaking Rebirth").

How about names for a Neo-Nazi terrorist organization that isn't secretive about its agenda?

What is a good name for a suite of powers that cover both telepathy and bolstering another's magical abilities? Preferably a phrase of three or four words that can be used to cover more powers than those two. For example, the suite that covers both blood manipulation and emotion control is named "Tides of the Heart", while the suite that covers spirit communication and wind powers is "Over the Ethereal".

You could also substitute "Psyche" instead of "Mind".

Maybe something like "The reaching mind" or "the touch of the mind"

So, I need another superheroine codename - this time, a woman whose power is the creation and partial control of a semi-sentient "energy creature". It would usually look like a large snake or serpent made of blue fire. She's a good guy, so the name can't sound too "evil".

@Basterd: For the most part, yes. Though I'm open to other possibilities; especially if the pairing works wonders on the ear.
