"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Raiden.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.@Cloud v. Sora: I think for all Cloud's experience, he cannot pull off feats as impressive as Sora can. Plus, the latter whacks people with a key. How awesome is that?!
@Hale v. Morgue: I don't recall the latter, but SAXTON HALE!!! is an epitome of manliness, period. That being said, if that Morgue person has means of ranged attacks, Saxton might be in trouble.
Hm. Now for something completely different. How many Juggernauts would be necessary to take down Dante?
edited 27th Jan '13 8:16:24 AM by FergardStratoavis
grahAll of them, and it still wouldn't work. Nobody from an even vaguely realistic setting belongs fighting Dante.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comI dunno. I won't consider a guy who takes five Intervention bullets to the face before dying and can sprint while firing a light machine gun "realistic". That being said, I really couldn't think of any better opponent, so shame on me. ^_^;
grahCloud has pulled off much greater feats than Sora.
Just for comparison. By the end AC Cloud is much stronger than Zack Fair. Zack regularly went toe to toe with beings who can do this.
Assuming that moon is the same size as the Earth's, that beam would have destroyed about half of the USA. By AC Cloud sould have easily tanked that and chopped Bahamut's Head off.
This is a robbery. Give me all of your money and I'll kill you.Hm. -.- Taking that back then.
grahThat's Dm C Dante, no? I go for the Juggernauts.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Balrog (the boxer) or Dudley vs Mr. Sandman. This blasting through the ring's speakers.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Balrog would probably fight to a decision, but Dudley would TKO him because he is faster and can effectively counter Sandman's more powerful punches, much like Little Mac.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.I can see what would happen once Sandman unleashes his wink-uppercuts: Little Mac dodges desperately. Balrog gets his face shoved into his skull. Dudley parries that sh*t.
Let's see, one rather obscurer: A little role change between Mass Effect 1 and Xenoblade Chronicles; meaning Shepard's crew against the Mechon and/or Shulk's party against the Geth.

This is a robbery. Give me all of your money and I'll kill you.Yeah. The only thing they *might* have trouble with are some of the diplomatic challenges. Otherwise, there is very little they can't do by means of massively greater power. Shepard and crew are nice, but they are "cinematic hero+". Shulk and company are basically Exalted, and *powerful* Exalted at that.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comI think one of the biggest disadvantages Shulk's team would have is how, save for Sharla and Melia, they would need to get up close to fight them, while the geth can start attacking from quite a distance; not to mention they are far more agile than your standard Mechon mook. That said, the Monado would ease matters a whole lot; I think the biggest danger they would face is Reyn or Riki pressing a button they weren't supposed to touch
Shepard's team, on the other hand, has several tech and biotic experts that could mess around with the Mechon, even if their weapons don't work under normal circumstances at first. With that considered, I think they could make it through, but they would have a harder time at it, having to fight more conservatively; up until the Machina does them a favor and hands them Mechonis ammo clips of course.
Also, Renegade option responses to Metal Face and Egil! Long posts about fictional characters in fictional fights wheeeee!

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Eh, I can't see it. Machina technology is almost certainly too alien for them to readily do anything with, what with being based in large part of quasi-magical forces and laws that simply don't exist in Mass Effect. And being able to attack from range is only of very limited value if you can't really *hurt* the enemy. . . and we've seen weapons at least as powerful as any the ME crew carry ( aside from *maybe* a few of the heavy ones ) go bounce off normal Mechon, let alone Faced Mechon.
Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comI don't know; under that logic one could also asume that the Monado might not hurt Geth since they are as alien to the Bionis as the Mechon are to Shepard. Besides, faced Mechon being more resistant is mostly thanks to being part Homs, thus not harmed by the Monado at first rather than just being sturdier to everything.
Mechon, at least in gameplay, can be hurt by anything after toppling them, and Biotics can do that quite efficiently. Also, it wouldn't be much of a stretch to assume that any synthetic-messing ability could work on at least the non-faced ones. Hell, they might even work better on faced Mechon than pre-upgrade Monado since they don't have the can't-hurt-Bionis-life-at-all restrictions it had.
And in regards on them working with Machina technology for their advantage, who is to say that they should figure how to use that technology on their own? If the Machina managed to reverse engineer the Monado and make a decent job at it, they could easily do the same for their advanced but definitely not magical weapons.
Woah... that went longer than expected... What I'm saying is that it wouldn't be easy for Shep and crew, but I think they could make it through.
I meant the Machina reverse engineering ME technology, not the other way around.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Thing is, we have feats for what kind of performance the Monado can do, sufficient that "alien ness" is irrelevant. It wouldn't get its special "kill Mechon dead" bonus effect, but it would still cut Geth just as readily as any other non-Mechon. Which is very, very readily. I'm even dubious that humans in ME would have any special resistance ( ignoring that eventually, Shulk learned to disregard this ), given they, again, lack in any of the quasi-mystical properties that make Xenoblade humans resistant.
As for biotics and tech skills versus Mechon, I'm still not seeing it. Or rather, biotics would work for knocking them down, as well as similar degrees of force would; the problem is more that basic biotic attacks have difficulties knocking around robots far smaller and weaker than Faced Mechon. Mechon don't have a special resistance to such, beyond their own size and durability; its just that said size and durability is a big enough problem itself. As for hacking, no, its not a reasonable assumption that hacking skills applied in a relatively hard sci-fi setting to relatively comprehensible computer systems, would work on half-living magitek robots. It'd be like assuming they could hack a Alchemical Exalt. Similarly, I haven't seen any science feats to indicate anyone in ME would be able to reverse engineer Machina technology.

Home of CBR Rumbles-in-Exile: rumbles.fr.yuku.comI'm wondering, how powerful is the Xenoblade Chronicles-verse? Could it take either of the other Xeno series?

Hm....I would hae to go with Cloud.
Both have similar abilities but Cloud is the more experienced fighter.
