I was just wondering if this is plausible, and what possible Fridge Logic I need to fix. This is for my Massive Mutiplayer Cartoon Crossover The Animation Crossroads, created partly as a justification for all the crossover-ness.

There are people born with the ability to find world-gates. Due to a heighten awareness of the worldwalls (partly due to Psychic Powers), these "Seekers" can hear, see, and/or sense on a metaphysical level disturbances (the worldgates) in the worldwalls. More advanced Seekers can even manipulate the worldwalls and create world-gates or teleport. However, manipulating the walls takes quite a bit of energy, particularly in teleporting, as creating world-gates can tie into another source of energy other then the Seeker while teleporting depends entirely on the person for the energy.

At the time of the story, my fan-character Terrence Skellington has just got the hang of tracking down worldgates (though nowhere near mastering — he's only fourteen, after all). He also inherited from his mother the ability to predict the ever growing world-gate shifts. However, what he doesn't know is in an artifical world-gate accident that injured him when he was ten, a spirit from the inbetween of worlds named Limbus possessed him and have been hiding out inside him for four years, growing increasingly frustrated with how the world-gates in Anima have been treated. So when Terrence is sleeping, Limbus would take over and go out to . . . er, I've haven't figured out what Limbus does yet, maybe observe or find world-gates? Destroy faculties that aren't using the gates correctly? I dunno, anyways, later on Limbus takes full control and goes on a rampage (I'm considering some Sanity Slippage, but I'm not sure yet). Yet this is taking a toll on Terrence's body and Limbus has no choice but to let Terrence take back some control (but with foot firmly in the doorway) to find out how much damage has been done (Terrence by this time has developed into The Medic). Again, not quite sure how I'm gonna do this, but the damage will be quite intensive.

Oh, and why Limbus doesn't possess Terrence right away nor immediately take full control is because Limbus can't linger too long outside a shell for the pain the world air causes him. He lingers deep inside Terrence's mind because he's not used to pain. By the time Limbus gets used to the everyday pain andd decides to do something to stop the abuse of the world-gates, Terrence has hit puberty. Puberty messes with Terrence's Seeker powers and makes it more difficult for Limbus to take control. Limbus is left with one option, to take control when Terrence is least aware — in his sleep.

Sorry if this isn't clear, I'm pretty sleepy right now but wanted to get this up before I go to bed. Thoughts?

It sounds greatly potent to me, especially if you show Terrence's aware moments while concealing Lumbus's aware moments so that trouble follows Terrence and the player thinks Terrence is being persecuted by "badguys" when really these "badguys" are trying to stop him, get revenge on him, etc. In other words, I'd turn it into a halfway-through twist that makes the audience wonder what Terrence will do next.

Thank you! And you've just given me the motivation for a group that have band together (for now I've called it a La RĂ©sistance, but I don't think that's quite the right term for it) but I haven't figured out why they've done so. Terrence, or rather Limbus, would be an excellent reason.
