"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"A question: Has Sakurai said anything about how the music is going to be handled in the fourth games? I'm assuming there won't be an entire ensemble of the biggest names in video game music composing tracks for Smash 4, or at least not as many as there were in Brawl. I'm personally expecting the music to be handled the way it was in 64 and Melee, but with a few more tracks lifted from their respective original game series.
It hasn't really been brought up yet. Considering what happened with Brawl, though, I've go high hopes.
I sure said that!I hope he goes as good as he did for Brawl.
I'm worried he's downscaling the game, given the no story mode and the decreased emphasis on a roster size.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Not a decreased emphasis.
I mean, he outright said that he's tryig to fit as many characters into the 3DS version as he can.
I have a message from another time...This may seem minor, but I just thought of it less than an hour ago.
Super Smash Brothers 64 had enemies made of sharp polygons. Then Melee came out with enemies constructed from wire-frames. In Brawl, they were said to be made of alloys. I wonder what type of enemies the fourth game could have. It's hard for me to imagine a game without a set of themed enemies with simple designs. Maybe I need more imagination.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"We've actually had this conversation before. :P
My vote is still on Fighting Gels.
Gels would make sense, given that it seems to be something of a play on its console's respective power levels.
Gels would be fun, yeah.
I'd make six of them, and base them on Captain Falcon, Zelda, Mario, Kirby, Donkey Kong for a Mighty Glacier, and maybe Falco for a more aerial-oriented foe. Currently, the Kirby one is the only one particularly aerial.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Rush's eyes in that picture just scream "You're next."
"We're home, Chewie."Mega Man, how could you!!

How are alloys a play on the console's "power levels"?
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackYou go from the blocky Polygons to the smoother wire frames, to the equally-smooth-but-with-more-shiny alloys. As graphic power goes up, detail goes up, even if they remain featureless otherwise. Gels for the Wii U version (for optimum detail), and maybe, idk, vector-drawn things for the 3DS version to show off 3D?
I don't think "power levels" is the right term. Just updated graphics and models. Having more power doesn't mean much.
Because you can still use old styles.
Is that a Crash Bomb or a Gooey Bomb?
Ah, it's a Crash Bomb.
Have we even seen any actual items yet?

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! Variation on the Crash Bomb, probably.
And we haven't seen any items, I believe.

It's a Crash Bomb. It has the pincer things on it, if you look closely.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSPolygons and wire frames are actually what the character models are made of. Alloy always seemed like the odd name out to me.
My idea was to have a data team made of 1s and 0s (yeah I know). One would be based on a mantis and have multiple jumps, two would be a squid who always runs until there are enough to gang up on you, three would be a dude with a spiky club that always chases after you, four would be a girl with a riot shield who waits and counters and five would be a giant chameleon with default AI except it would not pick up items on purpose.
I also liked the idea of the fight Mii team mentioned earlier.
Really though, I don't see why they just don't bring back the original polygon 8-12, exactly how they were in the original version. It is not as if 2-4 wire frames or alloys was an improvement even if there is not a polygon team member for each fighter.
Modified Ura-nage, Torture RackThere was a Mii Team idea? I kind of like that. They'd wear the costumes from Nintendo Land, I assume?
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaMii Team is actually a pretty good idea, it'd make more sense than having them as a fighter.

No, it would be Multi Man Miilee.
