No, actually, I haven't yet. Does that have loops? I'd gotten the impression that it was more Memento-like...

Not in the way that you get to watch the characters living the same thing over and over, but it's implied that it happens.

I'm looking for:

• Something similar to Scott Pilgrim in terms of subject matter and/ or total insanity
• Anything with a Dysfunction Junction that's either played for laughs, or with a good number of sympathetic characters.

I'm looking for some creepy/mind screw animation. Preferrably a film, but a series would also be nice. I've dug up all of the most fucked up Eastern Animation I can, but if anyone has knowledge of anything else I just might have to marry them. Anime would be nice too, probably, and easier to find.

In terms of having an eerie setting, my first idea would be Ergo Proxy. If you're talking more of Deranged Animation weird, Mind Game might be something.

You could also try the A Scanner Darkly movie, I hear it's go really Deranged Animation.

...the worst part is, Aoede, I've seen all of them but the stop-motion one and Coonskin. I don't like Bakshi much. >_<

Apparently Temple Grandin has written some stuff, some of which sounds autobiographical...ish. Check it out?

Yeah, some of her stuff was mentioned in An Anthropologist on Mars, the last two chapters of which focus on autism, and the last last focusing on her, so I think it might be a good start.

Oh, and not a book rec, but something that might or might not be a useful tool — a list of autistic bloggers' posts for Autistics Speaking Day.

The Unwritten Rules of Social Interaction by Temple Grandin and Sean Barron is also recommended. Supposed to be a self-help book,but it's also autobiographical.

Moribito Guardian Of The Spirit features one, and it's a very good book series as well as anime.
