YMMV: The Lion King Adventures
  • Alas, Poor Scrappy: Tara explodes in My Immortal. Despite this, some fans actually wanted her to live and be a girlfriend for Haiba.
  • Alternative Character Interpretation: While the author thinks of You-Know-Who as God, the character can be interpreted in different ways.
  • Are You Sure This Is For Kids: The series started off as very family friendly. However, the violence, horror and emotional darkness of the later stories made it more suited for older reading audiences.
  • Awesome Art: TLKA fan art is quite common. A couple of prominent artists are listed below:
  • Awesome Music: Has its own page.
  • Better Than Canon: Fans agree that TLKA is much better than the movie sequels.
  • The Catch Phrase Catches On: The vast majority of the fans love saying the Interceptor's catch phrase: "I like it!"
  • Chaotic Evil: Every villain is out to cause chaos, death and destruction.
  • Complete Monster: The Writer is ultimately revealed to be the Big Bad, and is responsible for all the villains in the series. He personally decides to ruin the world by entering it himself.
  • Crazy Awesome: Pori is absolutely nuts, but hilarious!
    • Everyone loves Haiba's crazy romantic antics.
  • Creator Worship: A lot of the fans really appreciate the series and the effort that goes into it. Recursive fan fiction, artwork, audio recordings and even music have come about as a result of the series.
  • Designated Hero: Simba is a pure soul for the majority of the series. However, he takes an evil turn in Series Five, killing without mercy to show strength.
  • Designated Villain: Tama is, at first, portrayed as an antagonist. But then she turns out to be not as mean as she seems…
  • Ear Worm: Hago's version of 'You're Only Second Rate' is pretty addictive. Some fans even call it better than the original Disney version. See Awesome Music above to listen to it.
  • Ensemble Darkhorse: Haiba, with his sheer cheesiness
  • Evil Is Cool: Most of the villains would count. Scar and Hago are the obvious candidates, along with Death, Shocker, Interceptor, and many, many others...
  • Evil Is Sexy: Maji actually uses this to her advantage.
  • Fan Nickname: A few examples.
    • The evil alternate version of Haiba in The Love Triangle is commonly referred to as Anti-Haiba by fans.
    • The series is commonly referred to in the abbreviated form: TLKA.
  • Fanon: The series has its own fandom. Fans delight in discussing stories – and even writing some of their own – on The Lion King Adventures Forum.
  • Ficdom: The series is hosted on FanFiction.Net
  • Funny: Has its own page.
  • Genre Turning Point: Before this series came along, most stories featuring Simba and Nala were focused purely on cute, fluffy romance. Once the series came around, stories involving these characters became much more action-packed.
  • Heartwarming Moments: Has its own page.
  • Jerkass Woobie: Shocker. You feel sorry for the guy at some points, but he's horrible.
    • Simba in Series Five.
  • Moment Of Awesome: Has its own page.
  • Moral Event Horizon: Simba crosses this in Series Five after murdering Nyoka in cold blood. He turns to the dark side, killing anyone he sees fit.
  • Nausea Fuel: Tara's exploding guts landing on Simba, Nala, and Haiba at the end of My Immortal. It's so disgusting that it moves Simba to utter the following line:
  • Nightmare Fuel: Has its own page.
  • Paranoia Fuel: The Writer is the creator of the universe, and everyone in it is just a character. This might make you paranoid that you're just a character in a story…
  • Ron the Death Eater: Timon and Pumbaa, two kind characters in The Lion King, are turned into soul sucking monsters in TLKA.
  • So Cool It's Awesome: The series in general.
  • Take That, Scrappy!: Tara in My Immortal is a pathetic character, and often made fun of.
  • Tear Jerker: Has its own page.
  • Too Cool to Live: The Hermit of Hekima.
    • Haiba, arguably the most popular character of them all, dies in The End. However, he comes back.
  • Unpopular Popular Character: Every single TLKA fan loves Haiba to death, but not everyone in the series takes too much of liking to him. Even Simba and Nala are disturbed by his romantic actions sometimes.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: The series is rather dark and violent, especially as it goes on, and even features Scar, the simultaneously loved and despised villain of the original film, raping a teen lioness and contemplating doing the same to Nala, a cub.
