These are what we call the 'YMMV items.' Things that some people find in this work. We call them 'your mileage might vary' because not everyone sees these things in the same way. This starts discussions in the trope lists, a thing we don't want. Please use the discussion page if you'd like to discuss any of these items.
YMMV: The Lion King Adventures
Alas, Poor Scrappy: Tara explodes in My Immortal. Despite this, some fans actually wanted her to live and be a girlfriend for Haiba.
Are You Sure This Is For Kids: The series started off as very family friendly. However, the violence, horror and emotional darkness of the later stories made it more suited for older reading audiences.
Awesome Art: TLKA fan art is quite common. A couple of prominent artists are listed below:
Newartist13 has drawn plenty of fan art for the series, including the cover featured on the page and many of the characters on the character sheet. A selection of his works can be found below:
Creator Worship: A lot of the fans really appreciate the series and the effort that goes into it. Recursive fan fiction, artwork, audio recordings and even music have come about as a result of the series.
Designated Hero: Simba is a pure soul for the majority of the series. However, he takes an evil turn in Series Five, killing without mercy to show strength.
Designated Villain: Tama is, at first, portrayed as an antagonist. But then she turns out to be not as mean as she seems…
Ear Worm: Hago's version of 'You're Only Second Rate' is pretty addictive. Some fans even call it better than the original Disney version. See Awesome Music above to listen to it.
Genre Turning Point: Before this series came along, most stories featuring Simba and Nala were focused purely on cute, fluffy romance. Once the series came around, stories involving these characters became much more action-packed.
Haiba, arguably the most popular character of them all, dies in The End. However, he comes back.
Unpopular Popular Character: Every single TLKA fan loves Haiba to death, but not everyone in the series takes too much of liking to him. Even Simba and Nala are disturbed by his romantic actions sometimes.
What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: The series is rather dark and violent, especially as it goes on, and even features Scar, the simultaneously loved and despised villain of the original film, raping a teen lioness and contemplating doing the same to Nala, a cub.
