- Adorkable: Somewhat. He is a man in his 40s who enjoys video games and is generally a nice guy. The videos where he shows his face demonstrate how awkward he can be as well.
- Archive Panic: Over 100 different Let's Plays? Over 4,000 videos on YouTube spread out over three accounts and more added each day? Good luck with that.
- Broken Base:
- There are some who liked his Blind Run of Conker's Bad Fur Day, but a large majority of viewers quickly grew annoyed with Tim spending entire videos making jack progress, and even he has expressed slight disdain for it by Part 5. It improves, though (and at least his "IN THE BATHROOM" count makes it a somewhat more bearable).
- By the end of the Conker LP, NCS implies that he is less desired to produce future Blind LPs as a result. Some fans have expressed interest in future Blind Runs, but many have also advised him to perhaps tackle a different type of game in the event of one starting.
- With the start of his blind run of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!, viewers who weren't fans of the Conker's run are apathetically stating "Here We Go Again!".
- The Ni no Kuni LP is something fans either really love or find it to be an annoying waste of time, especially because it is now his longest Let's Play.
- His Super Mario Maker series. Some fans love it for being able to submit and see NCS play through their creations, and just think it's a fun series overall. Others feel that it's going through serious Arc Fatigue (the series currently sits at 94 episodes as of October 2016) and has begun to really eat up screentime on his channel for other (more interesting) LP's.

- Crosses the Line Twice: When he talks about a public occurrence of Toilet Humor here. You guys might not know this—In fact, you probably don't wanna know this...
- Friendly Fandoms: There has been an increasing amount of Picky Penguins coming to Tim's channel due to his playthroughs of the Ace Attorney, Danganronpa and Zero Escape series. This is especially evident in Tim's streams, where jokes originally made by Nico are often found in the chat, such as "Hope Bagels" and "Go, go, horny Sigma!"
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- From a comment on one of his Final Fantasy VI videos: "I don't really expect a whole lot as far as views. From what I've seen, it's hard to get views on LP's anyway."
- When in a rematch against Molgera in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, he takes notice of two pits in the arena: "Two pits? Actually, there is one Pit, and he fires arrows." Some time later, Pit gets a Doppelgänger.
- 34 years after Tim came up with his username, Nintendo and Capri Sun launched an official collaboration, releasing literal "Nintendo Capri Suns" in stores!NintendoCapriSun (via Twitter): Didn't think I'd be calling it after "making" this name up 34 years ago!
- Ho Yay:
- In a Mother 3 video, he starts talking about the oxygen robots in the underwater area which look like unattractive mermen and kiss the player to give them oxygen. He implies that he might like being kissed by them if they were more attractive. But stops himself before he says too much.
- In this Plants vs. Zombies video he calls Chuggaaconroy "gorgeous." He is then suspiciously quick to explain that he is neither attracted to nor jealous of his looks.
- In this video of Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice For All, he is very happy to see Edgeworth come back. He even lampshades this by saying, "I am so horny right now... No, I'm just kidding."
- Memetic Mutation:
- His infamous "Tomorrow's Christmas Eve!" video spawns several homages and offshoots from various channels every year on December 23. For 2022 and 2023, it got enough notice to trend on Twitter.
- His Green Rupee Scream is becoming more well known thanks to people who run the Link to the Past or SMZ3 Randomizers doing their best screams in reaction to finding one/both of the green rupees in the shuffle, especially if it's on the Master Sword pedestal, behind a boss, or bought from King Zora.
- Scrappy Mechanic: His fans don't like it when he speeds up his videos so they can fit in YouTube's time limit. Though this has become moot since NCS became a YouTube partner and now has unlimited video time. And it likely became even further moot when YouTube removed the time limit entirely.
