A Song of Ice, Stone, Wind and Flame

During the next Harmonic Convergence after the one seen in The Legend of Korra, the physical and spiritual worlds are separated. The Avatar of the time, Brandon Stark, managed to reconnect the spiritual to a different physical world, and thus brings bending and spirits to Westeros and Essos.
Nearly eight thousand years have passed, and the Avatar cycle is believed to have been ended when Robert Baratheon killed Avatar Rhaegar while the Prince was in the Avatar State. However, Robert himself claims that he saw Rhaegar’s eyes return to normal before he died, meaning that the Avatar successfully reincarnated.
This story follows Jon Snow, after a mysterious experience after finding the grave of Avatar Brandon the Builder, as he must come to accept his destiny.
A Song of Ice, Stone, Wind and Flame contains examples of:
- Adaptational Badass: Any character who is a bender is this automatically.
- In addition to his bending, Robert Baratheon has maintained the physical body of his youth instead of allowing himself to grow fat, as he believes that he will have to fight the Avatar once again.
- Distant Sequel: The story is set a full 18,000 years after the events of the The Legend of Korra Season 2 Finale.
- Heroic Lineage: An Invoked Trope. Many of the Noble Houses of Westeros became noble due to being the families of the Avatar. The most Notable examples are Avatar Brandon The Builder being the ancestor of House Stark, and Avatar Aegon The Conqueror being the ancestor of House Targaryen.
- Undying Loyalty: Ser Merrit Frey of all people claims such loyalty to Avatar Rhaegar due to him saving Merrit from the Kingswood Brotherhood. Unfortunately he was unable to fight for Rhaegar, as he was imprisoned by the rest of House Frey during the Rebellion.
- World's Strongest Man: Robert Baratheon is the strongest Earthbender in the world. Second place is debated to be between Tywin and Stannis.
