YMMV / Naka Teleeli

Go To

  • Accidental Innuendo: From his Shovel Knight Let's Play:
Naka: "You can blow me all day long, I'm already pinned against the wall."
Naka: "I mean, I guess I have a lot of MP so I might as well-" *1 enemy dies* "Yep, Banging one guy."
Naka: "Just... thrust her right into the second phase-let me rephrase."
  • Ensemble Dark Horse:
    • Raven Xeo was involved in just one game, “The Lost Vikings”, but people overall really liked him for his good chemistry with Naka and Ogre, serving as a calm Deadpan Snarker straightman in contrast to Ogre and Naka’s wackiness.
    • Cyllaenoi was also only fully involved in one Lets Play: "New Super Mario Bros Wii", but people kept asking about her possibly returning, despite Naka himself saying she has no interest in doing Lets Plays, and he hasn't spoken with her in a good long while.
  • He Panned It, Now He Sucks!:
    • Not a big example with Majora’s Mask since he still likes the game, but not a lot of fans were impressed with his criticisms towards it. Lampshaded by Ogre.
Ogre: “That still sounded negative” (makes cracking sound)
      Naka: “Aggh my arm!”
    • Naka got some guff for mentioning his extreme dislike towards Metroid Fusion, being in-contrast very forgiving to the highly controversial Other M would not help.
    • Expressing his hatred of Zidane from Final Fantasy IX resulted in a number of fans expressing annoyance, especially with how much of a Cult Classic both the game and character are.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight:
    • After completing Rivets in Lost Vikings, Naka bitterly says in the next video “I don’t know what this level is but it’s infinitely easier than Rivets... Because everything Is”. Some videos later and 8-Ball, Phantom, and Tuff would give him far more trouble than Rivets ever did.
    • When asked by fans, Naka said he would never do a Let’s Play of either Mischief Makers or a Pokemon game. A few years later, he has now done Let’s Plays on both.
    • When playing The Adventures of Cookie & Cream, Naka and Ogre try to avoid the area Music World all costs having bad memories of it. They try do every other level in the game so as to do Music World last, eventually enter the area Ice World which gives them a lot of trouble and then they enter the extremely difficult Magic World which drives them nuts. At this, Naka and Ogre finally go into Music World, and other than one hard puzzle it is an absolute cakewalk.
