- Adaptation Displacement: So... how many of you knew this was a series of books before it was ever a cartoon?
- Audience-Alienating Premise: It came out at a time when Grossout Shows were on their way to becoming discredited, and is fittingly obscure as a result.
- Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The first episode has the two boys explaining to a large crowd how they met Fleabag Monkeyface. One part of the flashback has them introducing the crowd to the Smugleys for absolutely no reason whatsoever (other than being a ham-handed way of introducing the characters to the audience). It wasn't even included within the flashback just for writing convenience; the scene actually cuts back to reality to have one of the boys explain to the crowd who these two people (who don't appear for the rest of the episode) are.
- Bile Fascination: The main reason why most people watch the show.
- Memetic Molester: Dirk. He’s essentially an anthropomorphic penis. Nuff said.
- Quirky Work: When you see a disco Egyptian camel stop a Zombie Apocalypse where the zombies are made of camel dung just by dancing, you have to question if the creators are taking acid.
- Serial Numbers Filed Off: So, two trouble-making boys, one white, one black, create their own superhero based on their love of Toilet Humour and accidentally spurn a short-fused Mad Scientist into becoming their Arch-Enemy. Somehow, that seems very familiar... As if to drive the point home, both boys have very similar names (Gene and George for the black kids, Harold and Gerald for the white kids). The similarities extend even further when one throws the books into the equation, with Gene and Gerald being drawn very similarly (albeit slightly older-looking) and the covers of the books featuring similar parody blurbs to those of Captain Underpants.
- So Bad, It's Good: The show is so ludicrous and disgusting that you have to actually see it to believe it.
- Special Effect Failure: Some have noticed that the red-headed girl is merely a clone of her brother with hair added. The Special Effects Failure lies in how one can actually see the line where the boy's hair ends where the girl's longer hair was added.
- Squick: Given the show's main content...
- Unfortunate Character Design: Dr. Dirk Spamflex, what a freak! Guy's head looks like a talking penis. Not helping is that he's dressed as a chicken and that his name sounds similar to Dick.
