''Fate exists.
It controls us all.
From when we are born to when we die.
It's already chosen.
However, I was created as an experiment.
I was created with free will.
My interactions with others change their fate in ways I cannot foresee.
No matter how hard I try, I never know the consequences of my actions.
She was born normal, but something changed.
The universe said she should die, but she didn't.
Now the universe thinks she's a virus and wants to get rid of her.
And each time it fails, she loses herself a little more.
Is there any way I can change her fate?
Or will I just make everything worse?''

A visual novel style webcomic started in 2016 following the stories of 4 abnormal individuals trying to overcome the very coding that makes up who they are. Presently in the 1st book, though 2 more books are currently planned for the future. Can be read on their website, but only on a computer because mobile doesn't support flash files. Boo.

This series provides examples of:

  • Back from the Dead: Nya in episode 11.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Rim always seems distracted and never fully there when you talk to her. She's much more interested in the color of the sky.
  • Color-Coded Characters: Hero is blue, Blank is pink, Nya is green and boy is Dots red.
    • Ironically, in at least Blank and Hero's case, neither of their assigned colors is their particular favorite.
    • Blank is also an odd exception as unlike the other three, her eyes do not match her assigned color, and though her main outfit may have a lot of pink in it, her summer and winter outfits don't contain any pink at all.
      • Also, although Nya is green, she wears very little green in her outfits, which are mainly black. However, it makes sense when you consider black is usually associated with death.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Dots' default state.
  • Deconstructed Trope: Each main character is a deconstruction of a common character trope. Hero is a deconstruction of Useless Protagonist, Blank is a deconstruction of Tsundere, Dots is Knight in Shining Armor and Nya is The Ingenue.
  • Delinquent: Blank back when she lived in Aphotia.
Nya: “S-So! Is mom nice? I really wanna meet her…”
    Blank: “Yeah she’s fine.”
Blank: “Kinda spoiled me a bit, despite all the constant drama in my life.”
Blank: “Wasn’t too pleased with my bad habits, though.”
Nya: “Hmm~ Bad habits? Like eatin' too much dessert?”
Blank: “Skipping school, smoking, getting into fights, that kind of stuff.”
    Hero: “You SMOKE?!”
  • Everyone Can See It: A few minutes into witnessing Hero's demeanor around Blank, Dots concludes that he's totally infatuated with her.
    • Not to mention Dots' huge crush on Nya is obvious to pretty much everyone.
      • Not that he really tries to hide it.
      • Even Nya herself apparently knows.
  • Genki Girl: Barren. Blank also exhibits this behavior from time to time, especially around Dots.
    • It's entirely possible that Blank acts this way around Dots BECAUSE of Barren. Barren's energy brightens Blank's mood, therefore Blank figures the same will work on Dots.
      • It doesn't.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: Blank and Nya are both half elf/half human.
  • Hiding the Handicap: Hero uses his hair to cover his blind eye.
  • Immortality: A side effect of being a demigod. i.e. Valiant and Hero.
  • Kill the Cutie: Nya. Many many times.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Ilk and Rim both have this. Their amnesia is odd as they remember bits and parts of memories, but don't know the exact contexts of them. e.g. they remember knowing Hero back on their own world but don't remember any specifics about him.
  • Limited Wardrobe: Somewhat averted as the 4 main characters change outfits with the seasons. Played straight with side characters who don't get any variety.
  • Love Confession: Hero gives one to Blank in Chapter 16. Ends in a "We should just be friends" rejection, but Blank implies her feelings for Hero may change in the future.
  • Meaningful Name: His name is Hero and he's the main character. Coincidence? Probably.
  • Nervous Wreck: Hero is easily flustered and constantly anxious. He's able to hide it fairly well around people he's close to.
    • Dots also becomes this whenever he has to save Nya from inevitably dying.
  • No Social Skills: Blank is overly aggressive and Brutally Honest. She thinks that affectionate bullying is a totally acceptable way to make friends, unintentionally coming off as a Jerkass.
  • Older Than They Look: Valiant. Looks around in his 30s despite being far over 100 years old.
  • Plucky Comic Relief: Ilk, although none of the actual characters in the story find him that funny.
  • The Pollyanna: Hero. Constantly surrounds himself in optimism to avoid slipping back into depression.
  • Pseudo-Romantic Friendship: Blank and Barren. Blank, despite pretending to be annoyed by her, mentions how much she loves spending time with Barren. Apparently the feeling is very mutual.
Barren: "I'm happier at your side as a ghost..."
Barren: "...Than I ever was back when I was alive."
    Blank: "That's morbid."
  • Seamless Spontaneous Lie: Dots creates excuses on the spot in order to prevent Nya from taking an action that will lead her to her death. These lies are so over-the-top and out of character that Reverse Psychology sets in and makes them believable.
Dots: "I have a really bad fear... of pumpkins."
    Dots: "Bad childhood trauma."
    Nya: "What."
  • Single-Target Sexuality: Dots is this with Nya.
  • There Is Only One Bed: Subverted, Blank ends up reluctantly taking the couch.
  • Visual Novel: The over-all format of the series.
  • Wham Episode: Episode 10. The fact Nya gets hit by a train out of absolute nowhere makes for a wham in more than one way.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: In an EXTREMELY literal sense.
Blank: "What the hell, Hero!? It's like 7 am!"
