- I Ate WHAT?!: In The Jamaican Jerk-Off, Guy mistakes a Jamaican jalapeño for a pineapple, which he is not amused with.
- Jerkass: Guy is a huge one, constantly making fun of everyone.
- Purple Prose: Played for laughs in Phony Fieri.Person: This prime rib spreads in my mouth so vividly. I'm wishing to let it linger in my mouth even longer as it cascades down my throat.Guy: Yeah, I think it's pretty good too.
- Rapid-Fire Comedy: A lot of the jokes come by so quick that you'll have to watch an episode twice just to catch all of them. Thankfully episodes are below 10 minutes.

- Toilet Humor: Guy eats at a taco restaurant located in a gas station bathroom where the chef uses poop as an ingredient for his burritos."The best part about working in the bathroom is the leftover ingredients."
- Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist: Guy Fieri, who talks down to everyone, eats other peoples' food, doesn't care for his son, and is pretty racist. However, all of these actions are played for laughs.
