Wild Mass Guessing pages are Spoilers Off. You Have Been Warned.

Refrain from using first-person pronouns, please. This is a WMG page, not a forum.

Peppino will turn out to be a Windmill Crusader of some sort
Such as the "evil towers" he destroys being revealed to just be rival restaurants, and the enemies being ingredients he's raiding from them. He was (allegedly) named Chef Raider in his original appearance, after all!
  • Jossed.

Peppino and the Noise will need to work together at the climax.
Maybe the Noise (or Peppino, or both) summons some sort of evil pizzabomination who wants to destroy the world, so the two pizza-makers have to team up to defeat it in the Final Boss fight.
  • Jossed.
    • Somewhat unjossed with the Noise Update, which an unlockable that can be obtained before the final boss allows for Peppino and the Noise to work together.

One or more of the "friendly characters" will turn out to be Evil All Along.
  • Cowboy Cheese Slime: Could possibly be a King Mook.
    • The Vigilante, formerly slanted to be a playable character, is the game's second boss.
  • Gustavo: Since Peppino is more sympathetic than the similarly mad-dashing Wario, what if Gustavo was more sinister than the similarly round-nosed, slow-set Mario?
    • Gustavo is a (sometimes) playable character and remains an ally throughout.
  • Mr. Stick: Maybe he really wants Peppino to fail in saving his restaurant so he can use the land for something else.
    • Though he may rip Peppino off for the boss gates, Mr. Stick doesn't actually do much worse than that in the game proper.
  • Snick: May also fit the "evil version of a heroic character" idea used for Gustavo above, although this is less likely since Snick already has an evil counterpart in the form of Snick.exe, unless they're one and the same...
    • Pizzaface has been confirmed to be the (non-hidden) Big Bad, so none of these characters will be the Big Bad at least. This WMG's only hope is if one of them turns out to be The Dragon or someone working separately from Pizzaface.
      • Jossed. After the final battle and Pizza Tower comes crumbling down, everybody barely escapes and sort of just goes on to do their own thing.

There will be a Hatsune Miku pastiche in the game somewhere, as a reference to Yo! Noid 2, or just the Domino's x Hatsune Miku advertising campaign in general.
My personal guess is that it could be a Robot Girl made by the Dominion (the rival chain that the Noise was said to work for) and could appear as a recurring boss or take up Snick's mantle as the third playable character, also similar to Yo! Noid 2, who can't jump high, but can reach Mach 4 easier and constantly has a weapon like Peppino's shotgun in the form of her microphone, which could break metal blocks and Target Blocks. It could just as easily, however, be the female Noise seen in one of the former's taunts.
  • Not in the base game, no.

Mr. Stick will be a Butt-Monkey & a Token Evil Teammate in the style of Squidward Tentacles from Spongebob Squarepants, and Eustace Bagge from Courage the Cowardly Dog.
His uppity demeanor & grumpy attitude that stem from his body language remind me of Squidward, and his physical appearance reminds me of Eustace Bagge.
  • Partially confirmed, since he impedes Peppino from being able to fight the bosses right away, but gives him direction during Pizza Time.

The Noise gets all of his gadgets and gizmos from the Dominion (The Pizza Chain he works for)
And his role in the game is a Corporate Samurai of the Dominion who has the same goals as Peppino (taking the ingredients from the Pizza Towers).

In the end, Pizzaface will die by someone eating it.
It's literally a sentient pizza. Why not?

  • Jossed. Pizza Face doesn’t get eaten. Instead, Peppino gives him the mother of all beatdowns before giving him the ultimate pile driver. And after the tower’s destroyed and he’s seemingly okay, it’s Pillar John after being turned back to normal who sends him flying as payback for holding him captive for so long.]]
    • You're mixing up Pizzahead and Pizzaface. Pizzaface turns out to be a robot possibly controlled by Pizzahead. Pizzaface is last seen weakly dropping some gears in the final battle and presumably breaks down for good ofscreen shortly after.

Pizzaface will turn out to be Totino the Pizza Boy, better known for being depicted in the cardboard cutouts.
When a fan was making a prototype for Pizzaboy Tower, Pizza Tower Guy mentioned Pizzaboy "turning rotten" at some point in the game, "possibly from being overprotective of the tower."

  • Confirmed

There will be a Kill and Replace subplot concerning Peppino come near the endgame.
Two of the levels currently slated for the final world, Warzone and Mansion, have false Peppino enemies that attack with cheesy tounges, with Peppino clones being seen in the background of the former. A level in the preceding world, Factory, also has robots heavily resembling Peppino guarding the main factory level as well, being potential prototypes for the fake Peppinos. Aside from that detail, they seem rather similar to the real deal. The other two levels, Pizzascare and Kid’s Party, have otherwise very fatal hazards that would kill Peppino if Toon Physics weren’t in play. It would be up to debate whether it’s The Noise’s or Pizzaface’s plot.

  • There's no such subplot, unless you count Fake Peppino, so most likely Jossed.

One of the bosses will be an alien.
There’s already sci-fi themed levels so far. So why not?
  • Jossed, or possibly confirmed depending on what Fake Peppino actually is.

The tower is reading Peppino's mind, and the levels in World 5 are specifically designed to play on Peppino's worst fears.
Exactly What It Says on the Tin. Each of the levels reflects one of Peppino's greatest fears:
  • Don't Make a Sound is Peppino's fear of his business going under — it takes the form of the already failed Pizza Boy restaurant, in disrepair and patrolled by monsters.
  • War is Peppino's PTSD — Mc Pig has implied several times that Peppino is a veteran of armed combat (for example, he can't play Team Fortress 2 because it 'hits too close to home'), so it makes sense that one of the levels would be an active battlefield.
    • Whether Peppino is a War Veteran or not due to Flip-Flop of God, there is one other trauma WAR can tap into, the Pizza Time timer, due to the unique timer gimmick that specific level has and when it hits zero, Pizzaface doesn't show up and instead, you get an instant Game Over.
  • And Pizzascare? As a twisted, haunted version of one of the game's first levels, it plays off of Peppino's newest fear — the Pizza Tower itself.

Fake Peppino would be the embodiment of Peppino's impostor syndrome.
When Peppino started to climb the tower, his restaurant was failing, and he was losing faith in his ability as a pizzaiolo. It would only make sense that whatever kind of polymorph Fake Peppino is, would take those insecurities and up them to eleven.

Pizzahead didn’t really wanna destroy the Peppino’s restaurant.
At the start, Pizzaface tells Peppino that he’s planning on blowing up his restaurant with a death ray at the top of the tower but when Peppino makes it to the top, no death ray. And Pizzahead pretty much refuses to take the fight seriously. Even while being made one with the tower courtesy of Peppino’s pile driver he’s smiling. He actually wanted to draw Peppino there to play with him.
  • It may be that the death ray was hidden. It doesn't appear on the arrival to the tower, after all.

The Cheese Dragon was planned to be ridden by Pizzahead at some point in development.
The Cheese Dragon's entry on the Characters page mentions that he looks a lot like a Yoshi. Given that Pizzahead is essentially the Mario to Peppino's Wario, it's logical that the two might have had a similar relationship to Mario and Yoshi at some point.

The game's original development plot is now the plot of the game's fictional predecessor, "Pizza Boy Tower".
Way back in prerelease, the general premise for the game was that Peppino was raiding various towers to steal their ingredients for his pizzeria. However, by the time the game fully released, this plotline has been scrapped in favor of casting Peppino in a more heroic role, scaling a single tower to try and prevent his humble restaurant from being destroyed, with no indication that he's getting anything out of it beyond his own safety. However, the developer has indicated that Peppino "previously" appeared as the villain in a game called Pizza Boy Tower as a character named "Chef Raider", being opposed by Pizza Boy, the character who appears as a cardboard cutout in Pizza Tower. Maybe his motivations in "Pizza Boy Tower" were the same as the game's original plot—"Chef Raider" was raiding the tower to steal ingredients for his pizzeria? This would also give all the more reason for Pizzahead/Pizza Boy to want revenge on Peppino: If Pizza Boy's Pizzeria went bankrupt as a result of Peppino stealing good ingredients from the tower and then making better pizza, or even if his raiding simply caused bad publicity, it would be perfect motivation for vengeance.]]

Peppino is dancing in his idle animation during the final boss fight because he can hear the music
It's an incredible track and Peppino can hear it, however he is also VERY angry so while his face is reflecting his conscious desire to beat the crap out of all the bosses, his body can't help but follow the beat.

Potential DLC ideas.
At one point the devs mentioned considering dlc for the game.
  • Cut levels and characters. Such as Snick or the Cheese Dragon.
  • Perhaps the Hatsune Miku pastiche mentioned above?
  • A challenge mode to truly put your skills to the test…or make you go as crazy as Peppino
  • A LAP 3 mode. Regardless of how much time you have left by the time you start a third lap, Pizza Face hunts you down. Completing every level in this mode will change the battle against Pizzahead so he stops fucking around and decides to get serious.
    • It's not dlc but there is a lap 3 mod.
  • A crossover level with Antonblast.
    • Peppino already appeared as a guest fighter in Antonball Deluxe, so why not go full circle?
    • Said level will be based on Boiler City, and the soundtrack will feature motifs from the Boiler City theme from Antonblast and Anton's theme from Antonball Deluxe. Anton will also be unlocked as a playable character upon beating the level. (Though he'll use an identical moveset to Peppino). The level will also be titled 'Boiler City Blast'.
  • A seperate campaign where you play as The Noise.
    • It'll show more of The Noise's backstory and Peppino himself will be the boss of the campaign. After you beat the Noise campaign, you'll unlock the ability to play as The Noise in the main game levels and vice-versa. Additionally, The Noise will be replaced with The Doise while fighting him as The Noise, and Peppino will likewise be replaced with Peddito while fighting him as Peppino.
      • Partly confirmed, but Peppino is not the final boss, and they each remain in their own campaigns outside of an unlockable swap mode.

Mr Pig will eventually make a Pizza Boy Tower game
And might even be an actual Gameboy ROM.

Fake Peppino isn't actually any sort of Eldritch creature
He just so happens to be french in the weird, chaotic world that is Pizza Tower even outside the titular tower.
  • Wait, FRENCH?
Pizza Tower was built over an ancient civilization.
In the very first level around the bottom of the tower, there are crumbling John blocks everywhere and a lifeless city in the background. John’s home perhaps?
  • The giant John in the world 5 hub background was king of the Johns.
    • Jossed, John is a single guy that got cloned and turned into a Hive Mind to keep the tower together.

Most of the regular enemies are just workers in costumes.
That’s why they look so freaked out when Peppino comes barreling at them, the cheese guys you fight aren’t actually knights or Native American warriors, they’re minimum wage employees of the tacky theme restaurants incorporated into the tower.

  • Or they’re actually what they appear as but are still being forced to work for minimum wage. Even if they were real they’d probably still be freaking out at the psycho angry chef barreling towards them at Mach 1.

  • Semi-confirmed in the SAGE 2019 demo's manual. Pencers are stated to be actors who got lost in character so much they will attack Peppino at any opportunity. Since this manual only describes Floor 1 enemies plus Pizzards, there is still a possibility some of the enemies are regular employees.

Fake Peppino is a disembodied nervous system.

When he pops off the "head" to throw at you, there's a pink brain-like glob connected by a tendril to the torso; such might be part of the "true form".

Also, the only reason why he's not flaunting such during the Advancing Boss of Doom transition into the fifth floor's Horror Comedy is because the Peppino disguises act as armors against injury... and pain.

The doorways that allow Peppino to enter each stage are portals to other dimensions, the stages themselves being those dimensions

I mean, how else would you explain things like literal alien planets, a city, a beach, a warzone, a haunted castle, a farmhouse, a desert, a graveyard and a factory all within the one tower?

  • Judging from the fact that some areas like Vigilante's boss arena have very visible background decorations, that each Technical Difficulties screen has Pizzaface dressed as a stereotypical film director, as well as all other hints throughout the game, they may as well be overcomplicated sets.

Pizzaface eats Peppino when he catches him during Pizza Time.
It just seems like something he'd do.

Alternatively, the time up screen is literally showing us what happens to Peppino

Again, it seems like something that could happen.

The major characters represent different genres of television.
Peppino is a down-on-his-luck comedy protagonist where the main comedic draw is his continued attempts and failures to make things better for himself. Gustavo is an episodic adventure hero, while Mr. Stick is a greedy boss or landlord from sitcoms. Pepperman is a heavily warped version of Bob Ross, Vigilante is the star of a gritty western drama, the Noise is from advertising in which he's the main villain (Three guesses as to why) and Fake Peppino is the goofy, yet still creepy antagonist of a horror show not unlike Courage the Cowardly Dog. Pizzahead is a Karmic Trickster comedy protagonist who uses everything slapstick to get the better of his enemies, the Bugs Bunny to Peppino's Daffy Duck.

John Gutter is designed as an amalgamation of common first level settings.
Most of the levels in pizza tower have some kind of "theme" that is common in platformers. For example, Oregano Desert is a Shifting Sand Land, Refrigerator Refrigerator Freezerator is a Slippy-Slidey Ice World, etc. John gutter doesn't seem to have one specific one. It has a checkerboard pattern, which is common in Green Hill Zone type stages, which are one of the most common settings for a first level in a platformer. It is called a "John Graveyard" in the window title, and graveyard settings are common first levels in horror themed platformers like Castlevania and Ghosts N' Goblins. There are monkey enemies and jungle style trees in the background, and Jungles are a very common first level trope. The level has structures that resemble a city in the background, and cities are another common first level trope.

TL;DR: John Gutter's level theme is that it's a first level.

The Bacon Room and the "Bacon God"
In The Pig City, you can find a hidden room made entirely of bacon...in a city full of sentient pigs... If that isn't unsettling enough, Meatophobia (the ominous droning that usually plays near Pillar John) plays in this room, while a giant, realistically drawn pig head slowly approaches you from the background, trembling the whole time...before giving you a thumbs-up and a friendly smile, then disappearing. And the files call this entity "the Bacon God". Is he an actual god in the world of Pizza Tower, or is he a serial killer that the local pig police have been trying to track down before poor Peppino got caught in the crossfire?

The whole journey was Pizzahead's Secret Test of Character for Peppino.
After his pizzeria went bankrupt, Pizzahead didn't want Peppino to give up on his own pizzeria, so he threatened to destroy it to give Peppino a reason to care and go save it. This is why Pizzaface doesn't kill Peppino when the Pizza Time limit is up (he's merely thrown out of the stage to try again) and also why Pizzahead doesn't take the Final Boss fight serious at all. In the end, Peppino escapes the tower with all the resources, ingredients, and money Pizzahead left lying around for him to take and save his pizzeria.

Mr. Stick is a landlord collecting on late rent from Peppino.
Peppino's restaurant is failing at the start of the game, after all. He probably may not have been able to afford the payments, assuming he rents the building to operate his pizzeria out of it.

The Doise wasn’t part of the script in the movie that makes up The Noise’s campaign.
Unlike almost every other boss, The Noise gestures at him with obvious confusion during his introduction, and his title in the Versus Character Splash is an obviously edited version of The Noise’s. The arena’s also a hastily recolored version of The Noise’s, save for the Amazing Technicolor Battlefield made up of distorted versions of The Doise. And of course, unlike every other boss in the game he isn’t normally available for rematches. Adding all this up, it’s possible that The Doise ended up barging in during filming to hijack a potential Peppino boss fight, only for it to be kept in, with his death becoming a Running Gag thanks to Pizzahead bringing the dead body back during his Boss Rush.
