[[WMG:Peppino is not a war veteran, but he was made for war nonetheless]]
Peppino was part of a super soldier programme, without him being aware of this. His mach runs, wall runs and super jumps were skills he acquired during said programme, but before it was completed, the project got scrapped. So while he was not utilised in any wars, the conditioning for it sure did a number on him, so entering the battlefield and the lab invoked some seriously repressed and unpleasant memories of his.

[[WMG: The Doise wasn't part of the script in the [[ShowWithinAShow movie]] that makes up The Noise's campaign.]]
Unlike almost every other boss, The Noise gestures at him with obvious confusion during his introduction, and his title in the VersusCharacterSplash is an obviously edited version of The Noise's. The arena's also a hastily recolored version of The Noise's, save for the AmazingTechnicolorBattlefield made up of distorted versions of The Doise. And of course, unlike every other boss in the game he [[KilledOffForReal isn't normally available for rematches]]. Adding all this up, it's possible that The Doise ended up barging in during filming to hijack a potential Peppino boss fight, [[ThrowItIn only for it to be kept in]], with his death becoming a RunningGag thanks to Pizzahead bringing the dead body back during his BossRush.

* A seperate campaign where you play as The Noise.
** It'll show more of The Noise's backstory and Peppino himself will be the boss of the campaign. After you beat the Noise campaign, you'll unlock the ability to play as The Noise in the main game levels and vice-versa. Additionally, The Noise will be replaced with The Doise while fighting him as The Noise, and Peppino will likewise be replaced with Peddito while fighting him as Peppino.

[[WMG: Mr. Stick is a landlord collecting on late rent from Peppino.]]
Peppino's restaurant is failing at the start of the game, after all. He probably may not have been able to afford the payments, assuming he rents the building to operate his pizzeria out of it.

[[WMG: The whole journey was Pizzahead's SecretTestOfCharacter for Peppino.]]
After his pizzeria went bankrupt, Pizzahead didn't want Peppino to give up on his own pizzeria, so he threatened to destroy it to give Peppino a reason to care and go save it. This is why Pizzaface doesn't kill Peppino when the Pizza Time limit is up (he's merely thrown out of the stage to try again) and also why Pizzahead doesn't take the FinalBoss fight serious at all. In the end, Peppino escapes the tower with all the resources, ingredients, and money Pizzahead left lying around for him to take and save his pizzeria.

My personal guess is that it could be a RobotGirl made by the Dominion (the rival chain that the Noise was said to work for) and could appear as a recurring boss or take up Snick's mantle as the third playable character, also similar to Yo! Noid 2, who can't jump high, but can reach Mach 4 easier and constantly has a weapon like Peppino's shotgun in the form of her [[MakeMeWannaShout microphone]], which could break metal blocks and Target Blocks. It could just as easily, however, be the female Noise seen in one of the former's taunts.

* Semi-confirmed in the SAGE 2019 demo's manual. Pencers are stated to be actors who got lost in character so much they will attack Peppino at any opportunity. Since this manual only describes Floor 1 enemies plus Pizzards, there is still a possibility some of the enemies are regular employees.

**Said level will be based on Boiler City, and the soundtrack will feature motifs from the Boiler City theme from ''Antonblast'' and Anton's theme from ''Antonball Deluxe''. Anton will also be unlocked as a playable character upon beating the level. (Though he'll use an identical moveset to Peppino). The level will also be titled 'Boiler City Blast'.

Way back in prerelease, the general premise for the game was that Peppino was raiding various towers to steal their ingredients for his pizzeria. However, by the time the game fully released, this plotline has been scrapped in favor of casting Peppino in a more heroic role, scaling a single tower to try and prevent his humble restaurant from being destroyed, with no indication that he's getting anything out of it beyond his own safety. However, the developer has [[https://twitter.com/PizzaTowergame/status/1170557329391202304 indicated]] that Peppino "previously" appeared as the villain in a game called Pizza Boy Tower as a character named "Chef Raider", being opposed by Pizza Boy, the character who appears as a cardboard cutout in Pizza Tower. Maybe his motivations in "Pizza Boy Tower" were the same as the game's original plot—"Chef Raider" was raiding the tower to steal ingredients for his pizzeria? [[spoiler:This would also give all the more reason for Pizzahead/Pizza Boy to want revenge on Peppino: If Pizza Boy's Pizzeria went bankrupt as a result of Peppino stealing good ingredients from the tower and then making better pizza, or even if his raiding simply caused bad publicity, it would be perfect motivation for vengeance.]]

It's an incredible track and Peppino can hear it, however he is also VERY angry so while his face is reflecting his conscious desire to beat the crap out of [[spoiler:all the bosses]] his body can't help but follow the beat.

Peppino is a down-on-his-luck comedy protagonist where the main comedic draw is his continued attempts and failures to make things better for himself. Gustavo is an episodic adventure hero, while Mr. Stick is a greedy boss or landlord from sitcoms. Pepperman is a heavily warped version of Bob Ross, Vigilante is the star of a gritty western drama, the Noise is from advertising in which he's the main villain ([[Advertising/TheNoid Three guesses as to why]]) and Fake Peppino is the goofy, yet still creepy antagonist of a horror show not unlike WesternAnimation/CourageTheCowardlyDog. Pizzahead is a KarmicTrickster comedy protagonist who uses slapstick to get the better of his enemies, the Bugs Bunny to Peppino's Daffy Duck.

[[WMG: The Bacon Room and the "Bacon God"]]
In The Pig City, you can find a hidden room made entirely of bacon...in a city full of sentient pigs... If that isn't unsettling enough, Meatophobia (the ominous droning that usually plays near Pillar John) plays in this room, while a giant, realistically drawn pig head slowly approaches you from the background, trembling the whole time...[[NightmareRetardant before giving you a thumbs-up and a friendly smile, then disappearing]]. And the files call this entity "the Bacon God". Is he an actual god in the world of Pizza Tower, or is he a serial killer that the local pig police have been trying to track down before poor Peppino got caught in the crossfire?

[[WMG: John Gutter is designed as an amalgamation of common first level settings.]]
Most of the levels in pizza tower have some kind of "theme" that is common in platformers. For example, Oregano Desert is a ShiftingSandLand, Refrigerator Refrigerator Freezerator is a SlippySlideyIceWorld, etc. John gutter doesn't seem to have one specific one. It has a checkerboard pattern, which is common in GreenHillZone type stages, which are one of the most common settings for a first level in a platformer. It is called a "John Graveyard" in the window title, and graveyard settings are common first levels in horror themed platformers like {{Franchise/Castlevania}} and Ghosts N' Goblins. There are monkey enemies and jungle style trees in the background, and Jungles are a very common first level trope. The level has structures that resemble a city in the background, and cities are another common first level trope.

TL;DR: John Gutter's level theme is that it's a first level.
